“Simple one”

Nitrous Oxide (NOS) is the simplest, least expensive way, to provide a significant horsepower boost to your engine, and add performance you can feel in the seat.

“This thing is great!”

★★★★★

written by Fallon492 on 09/04/2020

I had this bike for seven years and it hasn’t broke down on the wines, I know I didn’t have any other scooters so so far this is the best one yet I drive this thing to work every day and only once have I had to walk at home but that was because I ran out of gas. This thing was a good buy and I would recommend. Main reason I bought it was for the look in colors, but now I realize it’s so much more this thing has helped me through tough times. 100% must have as a starter bike

I have had my `03 Oliver for 6 years and managed to pass 7800kmh which is a little for the time that i have it.I`ve never had any mechanical problems with it and it is a joy to ride.I`ve have mounted a giannelli extra on it and it accelerates like mad. Now i`m planing to put polini rolls 7g.But i think the carb is weak point it doesn`t suck air to good so it`s turning off the engine often.

This scooter has a smart look. Sleak design without that bulky overweight look. I particularly like the foot placement (don't have to ride sitting like on a chair... knees bent). Good accelaration after changing the rollers. Bought this scooter when labeled CPI Tracker six years ago. Runs like a top now... no problems at all for the last two years.... maybe patience is a virtue....I had a series of minor problems with this scooter for the first few years... constant irritations for minor repairs. Headlight is on the weak side. Water condensation in fuel line a constant problem if covered in summer, but this might be a common problem.

I bought it slightly used and put on 1,100 Km in two months. It's a blast to drive and great looking. Good conversation piece in my small Nova Scotian town as well.
Top speed on a straight stretch is 70Km but the speedo is probably optimistic. Starts easily and runs well even in fairly cool weather.
I had a problem with loose mirrors until I glued down the adjusting nut. Limited storage under seat so don't expect to carry a lot of groceries. There is no local dealer but scooters don't seem to be very complicated and the original dealer did indicate he could get any part I wanted.
There is a UK based Chinese Scooter club/forum on the internet that can help track down and fix problems. Lots of color photo's that even I can figure out.
I've only owned one scooter before. That was an 80cc Yamaha Beluga back in 1984. It was a solid bike and I feel the same about this one. Well recommended.

Good for a first scooter I've had it 6 months now and thinking of upgrading to a 125. Is a nice looking scooter and is good for nipping to the shop and small journeys.

“Had this bike 2 months now as a birthday present.”

★★★☆☆

written by LukeGUK on 25/08/2008

Had this bike 2 months now as a birthday present.
It was bought second hand with: 3,500 miles, the body work paneling in a bit of a state, quite worn tyres, a stupid twisty exhaust that makes it sound ridiculous and de-restricted.
Since then I have put another 800 miles on the clock, having trouble finding a garage that is willing to sort out the tyres, and my fuel pipe has just sprung a major leak, as I found out to my own peril on my way to work this morning.
The Fuel efficiency is very up and down, sometimes it can use very little fuel on a 14 mile round trip, and sometimes it uses half a tank, this isn't helped by the relatively small tank in the outset, only holding just under 5 litres at the most. But on the upside costing under a fiver to fill.
The acceleration on hills is a major problem, even resulting in loss of speed on fairly slow rising hills. although on flats it can (the majority of the time) initially keep up with the traffic quite well, struggling when the speed is around 30, but can carry on till 55, quite easily and possibly 60 mph when pushed hard.
The paneling is ridiculous to get on and off without breaking and having screws left over and the luggage capacity under the seat is hardly Ford Ka capacity, struggling to cope with a couple of locks.
Insurance is around £46 a month with "ebike" and tax is only around £10 - £15, I think.
But I am really considering selling this bike on as it is costing far too much to run and too much hassle to keep on the road at the moment.
But on a final note, this is only a first bike, and as a first bike, I have to say, its a good bike to learn the mechanics on as it is all quite simple.

I have had my CPI Oliver City for two years now and done around 10,000 miles. Only once let me down hwen generator went. Then the ignition coil also went at the same time. Now my cdi is going as it turns itself of then back on. Good bike though I have had a malossi clutch, varitor and technigas race pipe fitted. This is a worthwhile bike to get.

My wife rides this scooter in summer/winter/rain and it never broke down. The service station could not find the one problem it had, but I've sorted it out and runs great with no problems at all. It runs 65 km/h en it has driven over 4600 km now.

Don't be tempted by the comparatively low purchase price. If you are looking to diversify your workout routine, then this will surely give you a good burn as you push it home 2 miles from the train station after work in a suit and tie and wingtips.

I bought a CPi Oliver City when I turned 16 for 1600 and I don't think it was worth it at all, however I haven't owned any other moped to compare it too.

“I have had the CPI Oliver City for almost 6 months now...”

★★★★☆

written by DarrenJ07 on 07/09/2007

I have had the CPI Oliver City for almost 6 months now and have found it to be a good runner and fairly reliable. The bike looks a treat, replicating the colours of the Rizla Suzuki Moto GP bike or the Renault F1 car of last season. The bike performs well, accelerating from 0-30 fairly quickly. One recommendation is not to use fuel from supermarkets but instead to get better quality fuel from other garages as I found out the hard way. The fuel from a certain supermarket, resulted in my carb having to be cleaned out. It was causing all sorts of problems like loss of power and stalling but fortunately that was fixed. However another concern is the sticker work which has started to peel off a bit but this is covered under warranty and can be fixed easily. The bike also has a nice big exhaust which is stainless steel and therefore will not rust. A problem i must point out though is the fuel consumption. The bike seems to drink a lot of petrol. I can only seem to get to college there and back twice which is about 40 miles in total so I am usually filling up once every other day. It fills up for about £3.50 but it is an inconvenience having to go to the petrol station all the time. My bike is also de-restricted and I must say it does not seem to achieve more than about 40mph, I will have to see what else can be done. All in all this is a good bike and well worth the price.

My son bought this bike brand new & it has spent more time at the dealers than on the road. Practically everything has had to be replaced. Broke down & had to be rescued more times than I care to remember.
In my opinion, the worse thing he has ever bought, total waste of money.

“The bike is certainly cheaper than the competition....”

★★☆☆☆

written by StavT on 01/07/2007

The bike is certainly cheaper than the competition. For that matter it also looks better but the issue with its reliability devalues the pre-mentioned. I have put 2,500 miles on this bike in one year and have gotten stranded over 2 dozen times with this lemon. When it works its a great bike but 1 out of every 5 rides you take will get you stranded. Do not patronize this company's bike - you will indeed regret it. I have went back to my dealer on many occasions and replaced the carb the fuel pumps and made countless attempts at tuning the bike. Poor product.

Oliver City 50 is a nice looking scooter, which preforms well and stands out. Long journeys can be easily done on this scooter and it is a joy to ride as well as just a quick scoot round the corner.
