Even though it is annoying that yet another of Josh Whedon's shows is cancelled it might actually be a good thing as story arcs get rounded up and we the viewer can move onto another show without the worry that things will get tired or dull after 6 or 7 seasons. Anyway, Dollhouse was a bit of a slow burner for me. On the surface it felt like a light and frothy show about a house of dolls, humans who had their memories wiped clear and then programmed to fullfil the wishes of high paying clients. A kind of nicer, cleaner escort agency if you will. But soon after watching a few episodes you understand there are other things bubbling under the surface, darker and dangerous secrets about the company running the Dollhouse. With a cast full of familar faces from other Whedon shows, this still has the characteristics of snappy dialogue combined with great action so if you liked Buffy or Firefly give it a go. There are only two series and even with some weaker episodes I enjoyed watching it. Hated the theme music though. Perhaps they lost viewers because of it ;)
