Absolute rubbish. It wouldn't pick anything up, so I ended up punching the thing repeatedly and breaking the screen. I then threw it out of the window and the car behind drove over it. Best place for the thing. Load of complete rubbish.

words fail me,my mio got stolen while in spain so bought a Via Michelin Navigation xt 960. the unit has no redeeming features at all, its slow poor maps. ok it can tell where a good restaurant is but it sure as hell wont get u there.
when i got back i purchased an old mio 510c of ebay. aaaah sanity again.

I have had this unit the last 2 years now and have still yet to come to terms with ViaMichelin menu's. Very awkward to use the menu's. Addressing system is backwards and is almost impossible to pinpoint a location. Also the maps are wildly inaccurate for Ireland with hole towns being addressed inccorrectly. Also the unit doesn't seem to know anything about 1 way streets (even ancient 1 way systems).
For you own sanity do not buy this sat nav...especially if using it in Ireland.
Also to make things worse viamichelin no longer support their sat nav units and will no never be providing support or updates for any of their units. Had i known this I wouldn't have left the shop with the unit.

Poorly written instructions with my ViaMichelin X960 sat nav which cover an entire range not just this model along with rubbish drivers/software spoil this otherwise great value satnav. 30 pages does not a quick start guide make! Whoever wrote this guide and the installation software maybe needs to try it to see how complex it is. When installing you have to make decisions for MS Active Sync without instruction then you have to reboot and run installation software again. Plus if you have already used Active Sync for another device on your PC forget trying get the x960 to work with your pc.

Having used a top of the range market leader for 3 years in my other car, I prefer to use this from the drivers point of view. The clarity of directions along with the quality of the mapping are excellent and up to Michelin's legendary quality. I love the auto zoom in at roundabouts and complex junctions. The hazard warning on bends etc along with safety camera info is excellent. As I do a lot of short house to house journey,s,I certainly test it beyond normal usage and are constantly singing it's praises. If you want a budget sat nav (mine was just under 100) buy this , you won't be disappointed.

Good little sat nav. A shame they don't do traffic updates and only comes with the bare basics, but at £93 from Maplin this ViaMichelin Navigation X-960 is cheap and uses the same maps as TomTom.
