I've been at Tarbock for almost 4 years now . The staff are lovely , I used to help out and when we did it was lovely after my lesson we would sit and eat lunch then we would lead the little kids on the lessons . I've learned so much there and I don't understand all of these horrible reviews in the amount of time I've been there I've never seen anyone unhappy And the lessons are quite cheap compared to other places I've been .

Love this place it's a wonder place to be the staff are lovely . I started riding 2 years ago and already I am on to jumping cantering and riding with no studios that's how much and fast you improve . The instructors are a delight . The lesson are so fun especially the advance ones .i am a helper I go down to the farm at 9:30 ride at ten till 11 only 10 pound for a hour 5 for half an hour . When I get off the horse I help the next rider on and then get a break after that I do Haynets or muck out till 12 then hav dinner that's when the late drain lessons are . I rather lead or have a long brake .you get to choose what horses are comfortable for you and best to ride what you like . It is so cheap and brilliant it's £10:50 for an hour and half . Those ungrateful people who right bad reviews don't listen to them that NOT TRUE they just wanna make it sound bad so people wants go there . I love Tarbock Riding school it is the best and hope ou like it to

I learned to ride here when i was younger and i still like to go to see the horses and help out when i can. the people there are very friendly and helpful. I love the horses they have there, they are very well cared for, and they defiantly have a home for life! in my opinion the lessons are well worth the money, its a lovely yard and i would recommend them to anybody looking to start up lessons.

Tarbock Green Riding School is an enjoyable place to be. Everyone is friendly both helpers and staff. My daughter has made many friends since she started there, i can't keep her away from the place! I used to ride there when i was younger. The lessons and courses have learnt her alot about both riding and caring for the horses. I find them great value for money. The staff are always there for you to answer your questions as a parent and the same for the children. My daughter has progressed fantastically and her confidence has improved so much. The horses are happy as they are well looked after, the staff take alot of care to make sure of this. I cant beleive star was still there, he still looked great and just as cheeky! The horses most definately have a home for life with Ken. Keep up the good work x

Tarbock is a great place to ride! Mandy the women who runs the yard has to be the nicest, pleasant person ever, she looks after the horses really well and knows so much about them, you can go to her for help when needed. The instructor on Saturday, sindy is really good and understands the horses really well. Both Saturday and Sunday are open for ridding lessons and you will have a great time, in my opinion it's one of the best ridding schools ever, it's welcoming and lovely! you'd be a fool not to go there.

Well, where do I start what an awful place to be, it's the worst riding school I have ever been to. The people are lovely, but its so bitchy it's unreal, the Saturdays are better compared to the Sundays, the Saturday teacher is good the Sunday teacher knows nothing, I used to help out for the full day on a Saturday muck out, groom, lead, brush up, they never give you a break. They would be nowhere without their little helpers. We used to help out all the time but never got anything in return like at other riding schools they give you free lessons, they reward you. I left and got loan horses I find loaning much easier you have time for one horse. The horses at tarbock are nice and friendly apart form afew, they are safe but abit grumpy sometimes. The standards at this place are horrific they don't muck out properly they just cover things or don't do it properly on a regular basis, afew years ago when the inspector was coming they had the day before it painting and cleaning the horses So they wouldn't get shut down again, I find that pathetic the horses deserve better, that's how it should be all the time not just before the inspectors come. I would not send my child to this riding school again, lessons are 16ound for an hour and all you do is trot and canter, the paddock is tiny, too small intact it's not worth the money. I recommend bold Heath instead of that place.

Worst riding school I have ever been to. Horses don't get groomed before the lessons. Staff are rude and clearly do not have any clue about the well being of the horses or any clue on riding what so ever. Lessons are horrific, overall they are just money grabbers would not recommend anyone to go there!

I like the flexibility of Tarbock Green, my daughter regulary swaps from a Saturday and Sunday lesson and is welcomed and treated the same on both days. Private lessons are full of fun and laughter whilst riders excell in their confidence and riding ability. All staff are easily approachable and extremely friendly and have a zero tolerance to bullies. The yard may look untidy but staff are more dedicated to the horses and riders welfare. Keep the good work up guys.

I've been riding at Tarbock most Sunday's and the occasional Saturday for quite a while and have been highly impressed by the standard of teaching and the quality of the horses. The horses are content and well looked after. The Instructors ensure that safety as well as fun are the basis of all lessons which gave me confidence to progress to the level I am now. If you want to learn properly and develop a secure seat then I can recommend Tarbock.

Tarbock green riding school is horrible riding school full of rude imature teens,i ride on a saturday and use to help out and i loved the instructor (sindy) and i loved sue who use to run the yard. now a new person has took on the yard and has went down hill since.
Then i started helping on a sunday, i only went for a few weeks then stopped because i realised how nice the saturadys were compared to sundays, the riding teacher on a sunday critesizes you instead of helping you, she has no expirience at all and i do not recomed her to anyone. Also arguing has got at of hand and people have had to leave. i have now started a new riding school and i love it,(the horses at tarbock are amazing though)

Tarbock Green is a fabulous small school. I used to ride there four years ago. Sindy was a confidence builder and took me from being a first time back on a horse in 28 years to someone who still loves riding and has progressed. I had to stop going there because I moved down south but I still miss the place. We used to laugh and laugh at the same time as learning. Her lessons were inventive and fun and I will never forget that first canter after all those years - It was wonderful. Molly the little bay is a treasure and I miss her too.
If you are looking for somewhere that is safe and friendly for your kids or as an adult to start again then look no further.
Sindy if you reading this - still miss you all XX

first of all I would just like to say I know everyone has their own preferences and opinions however I would suggest everyone ignore this review as it is completely inaccurate. I leaned to ride here and I loved it everyone was always lovely and i didn't have any problems while I was there. the horses are very well cared for and they have a home for life at tarbuck. the paddock is a good size and I would say the lessons are well worth the money.
