This was a suprise find. When tasted against a California Sterling 2003 and a French "Frenchhouse" 2004 Vin De Pays D'OC it matched very favorably only behind the Sterling with was more than twice its price. The least expensive of the three and well ahead of the Frenchhouse Melot. Good black fruits on the tongue with a very good finish. Medium Body. Excellent with pastas.

Kumala Ruby Cabernet Merlot Western Cape wine is good value at under £4. It has a deep red colour, a fruity nose and a good palate. A wine for drinking and not keeping too long.

Kumala Ruby Cabernet Merlot very full-bodied red wine with rich red berry flavours. A very smooth and warming red wine to have with or without food.
A very cheaply priced good wine at under £4, and I would definitely go out of my way to buy this wine again - highly recommended.
