I thoroughly recommend the Acuity method as a tool to assess the strengths and weaknesses of any finance professional. Following the assessment, the person I dealt with talked me through the areas that I did well on and those areas that were not so good and made recommendations on the types of role I would be best suited for. It was spot on. The assessment also gave me the opportunity to identify my weaknesses and take steps to address these and fill in my skills gaps.

Very thorough and professional onboarding process, being able to sit the tests was hugely beneficial, and on reviewing the results it was immediately apparent that some of key strengths were illustrated based on my answers and performance on the test. This is going to be extremely useful in Acuity selling my skills and experience and generating introductions moving forward. I strongly recommend others to consider working with Acuity - well worth the time investment

Sad accountant that I am, I rather enjoyed sitting the test (my first for many years - despite all the warnings my exam technique was certainly rusty). Once complete it meant that clients knew that I had the skills I claimed and that we could more rapidly move on to discussions of where I could add real value for them.

The testing that you get put through is controlled, time-pressured, multi-level and rigourous. You will not pass or get through unless you understand how businesses work, double entry book-keeping, Excel and how to construct brief, meaningful information from data.

I have worked with Acuity for many years and have found them to be very effective in their approach to delivering projects. I approached Acuity shortly after moving to London where I had taken a temporary position through an agency to facilitate the move.

I was called by this company after I applied for a role as a Finance Director on Linkedin. They refused to give the company and supplied very little detail. They asked me to complete a 2 hour assessment (very odd for such a senior role) which entailed supplying advice on very specific circumstances/problems this company found it in.

After 2 weeks of hearing nothing, I sent Acuity an e-mail explaining that I no longer wanted to be considered. Funnily enough, I was then sent an e-mail minutes later informing me that I had not been taken foward anyway...despite working as an FD for an identical IT managed Service company. Very strange!

I believe this was very much a data gathering exercise where the supposed client benefited from many candidate assessment answers and I doubt very much that a job ever existed. Please be warned all future candidates before wasting your time!
