Having been contacted by this agency and practically begged to do one day's work as their client was desperate, I agreed to go to the job. When I got there, the previous workmanship was terrible. I pointed out to the client that the previous work made it very difficult for me to perform the work required properly, but he insisted I go ahead and I did the best I could under the circumstances. As I went to the job at very short notice, I did not have a time sheet with me. The agent (in Cambridge) told me not to worry as he would sort out the hours worked. I never got paid. Interaction was useless and kept telling me I needed a signed time sheet, despite them saying I didn't need one. The law states that agency workers do not need time sheets in order to get paid, but Interaction don't care about such laws. They are terrible to work for. Avoid at all costs.

I registered with them a year ago (just under). Any working parent will know that time is precious so time off work and childcare costs are not easy to arrange but I did it and was happy to be registered because all that form-filling-in can be quite a lengthy process. I heard nothing though and had to call them every few weeks just to see if there was anything for me. Other agencies have been great at finding me temp work but nothing from these people. Then because a new woman started she refused to put me forward for any roles I applied for unless I went in and RE-REGISTERED with her! She REFUSED! I made one appointment but had to cancel due to unforeseen circumstances on my part. Now I have had a bullish voicemail message left on my answerphone from the same woman practically telling me off and saying she refuses to put me forward for a role unless I meet her immediately. So, I guess interaction miss out on any commission I could have raised as I will no longer be going to them or recommending them. A very unpleasant experience all round

I had recently applied for a vacancy through CV Library to a job advertised with Interaction Recruitment based in Northampton. A day or so later received a call from a 'consultant' who proceeded to spout off off about the two contacts that they had and was pushing me for answers on the spot as to which one was I interested in going for, so I informed him that I would have to think about it over the weekend and get back to him on the following Monday. On the following Monday I called them to inform them that I was interested in one of the jobs to which the 'consultant' asked me to provide a CRB/DBS record via email. After sending I received call after call from this agent who kept badgering and pestering me to the point of harassment for this document.Eventually confirming the receipt of the DBS form explained that he needed me to visit the agency to register bringing all my other docs with me which would take roughly around an hour to complete. After doing as requested the agent told me that the company I would be doing work for wanted to see me in the flesh and could I go to Olney outside Wellingborough Northamptonshire to do this to which I replied that it was doubtful since I needed to have my brakes shoes repaired which were over due anyhow I would let him know in due course just as soon as find out when I could get them done as I didn't want to travel to any far distance with my breaks in the condition in which they were to which he said it was okay and that if I couldn't make the same day then either the next day or Monday would be totally fine. I text later as promised and informed him that I was unable to get my car repaired until the following Thursday unfortunately due to bookings and would a visit to the company around this time be okay. I then received a text shortly after from the 'consultant' stating that they would not be proceeding with my application any further due to the receiving of a 'bad reference'(which is illegal) from an agency that I had done a couple of days work for many years ago. I believe this to be very spurious since A. I had not given them this companies details or name of reference for that matter and B. It was only after I had informed them that I wasn't available when they wanted me to be that I received this text which leads me to conclude that they are a petty and controlling, unprofessional 'bottom of the bucket' type of employment agency. I would not recommend Interaction Recruitment Northampton to any body my only solace is to be so thankful that I didn't make them any money,
