Was headhunted and called by an internal recruiter at hays, who persuaded me to go along the next day. After explaining my initial job hunt and how I had done loads of assessment days she assured me it was not a 'big assessment or a big deal really just an interview'.. It was a full on assessment which I had no preparation for. Along with that, after initial assessment me and one other was kept waiting for 1 hour while everyone else went off to interview and then told to go to lunch. On coming back I finally had a second interview to then be kept waiting for an hour by myself to be told "ok well be in contact", which they also never was. This has disheartened my whole view in working for a major recruitment company and I think their treatment of my selves and other candidates was awful, even if not right for the role the dismissive manner and whole structure of the day was so bad. Staff attitude stinks.

C'mon lets get real.
Hays are not professional headhunters. they don't have professional qualifications, line management experiences or blue chip backgrounds. Hays pay peanuts and hire,, well you know. Their staff are clueless, they don't understand client brief or candidates CV's. Expect to be treated badly, they don't know any different. If you are a Hays client, what sort of image are you trying to project ?
