“Tasty but too much grizzle bits of and one piece of...”

I bought the Gastropub cottage pie being an M&S product very disappointed taste was perfect, but too many grizzly fats bits which is enough to put you off for life and just end up in your mouth ready to spit, especially in this pandemic we are in makes you wonder what is actually in the recipe they should take it up with the suppliers. Such a shame because it tasted quite nice

“terrible. change to recipe? ”

★☆☆☆☆

written by sh4ronx on 18/04/2015

I used to buy these meals in bulk and freeze for quick meal after work. Were really enjoyable. Haven't bought them for a while. Decided to call in and buy a few and also noticed large cottage pies and decided to buy a few of those too. Cooked the large pie for myself and my son. While eating it I noticed they tasted different to usually and wasn't keen on them. Later felt Ill and vomiting. Nothing bad in the cottage pie but the oil was terrible. Caused hartburn. Defiantly won't be buying ready meals from there again. Why change contents of meal when they were perfectly fine???

For the last week I've had upset stomach after m&s cottage pies.
They used to be so nice will not be buying them again . Also they have changed the mini roast beef dinners, the meat used to be really tender you now need a sharp knife to cut it. Obviously it's cheaper meat.

“worst ready meal for a longtime”

★★☆☆☆

written by chata1259 on 07/09/2014

I used to work in m&s and bought these meals because they were delicious having been I'll and not really eaten for two weeks I was delighted when my friend arrived with two of them. I must admit it is some time since I had one but this was awful tasteless most probably because it is all healthy eating but I could not eat it and wonder when everyone will realise what is happening to the once delicious meals we liked to indulge in after god forbid on the days we buy a ready meal we should actually enjoy it.the gravy used to bubble up through the potato light and delicious and the minced meat tasted delicious full of flavour. What a tragedy that all the things we loved best and enjoyed are slowly being replaced by more healthy eating

“A very tasty meal.”

I've had this and other foods from M&S ready meal range and I have to say it's top quality. All ingredients tasted of a very high quality and it was filling and felt luxurious! I would certainly recommend if you want something a little special and don't feel like cooking. The only problem I had was it it's a bit on the pricey side, like lots of the foods!
