“Don't buy it”

★☆☆☆☆

written by on 05/01/2014

I purchased the O'Baby Aura from Tesco Direct at the end of May, there always seemed to be a restriction when putting it down and the wheels often squeeked. In november, when putting it down the brake snapped. Tesco said it had to go back to O'Baby and they said I had to wait in for it to be collected, with no replacement and wait up to 5 days for its return. Obviously I had to buy a new one in the meantime. They returned it fixed even though I asked for a refund. I have not used it since. Now, being January I went to put it down and again the brake has snapped. It is complete TRASH

We have had this buggy for a year now being used on a constant basis for my two year old daugher and we cannot fault it. We have had a silver cross and a petite bebe before this and have to say that at a fraction of the cost it is far superior for durability and ease of use. Wouldn't recommend for a new born because they would be exposed to all elements however for a toddler it really is fantastic. The raincover is also great as it fits really well and keeps everything covered including her feet unlike a lot of other brands

A good basic pushchair. We bought it for holiday and it now just stays in my boot so that I don't have to keep putting my main pushchair in and out of the house. Bought it at a reduced price from Kiddicare with parasol and raincover, although parasol has broken within a year. The wheels get a little squeeky and stick as we use it quite a lot on gravel. I like the recline function as almost flat. A good value little stroller and has everything of a mclaren but half the price.

“Obaby strollers are really bad quality - the brake...”

written by bmb8rec on 12/06/2010

Obaby strollers are really bad quality - the brake broke when we'd used the pushchair a handful of times and not even used the brake so we sent it back to the manufacturers. You have to wait in 8-6 for them to collect and then to return it. They returned it with a wheel broken and said it was 'damaged in transit'. Again, we waited in 8-6 for a collection and they told us that city link had a 'failed collection' and that we would have to pay for another collection, despite us 1. being in and 2. the damage being their fault. We had to buy another stroller while all this was going on. The manufacturers were beyond rude and said to take it up with kiddicare. However kiddicare say the warranty is with the manufacturer. Don't touch Obaby pushchairs they are not worth 20p let alone the £70 we paid for the obabyb vintage rose. I gave it 1 star because you have to give it something.

The complaint was mostly with the company and the courier rather than the performance of the buggy

I bought the Obaby atlas pushchair as a second push chair that I could put in the car for short trips around the shops. Its not had much use and already its really awkward to push as the front wheels have gone really stiff and its difficult to turn the wheels. After a short shopping trip I feel like I've done a workout!

“I bought the Obaby Atlas as I was travelling abroad...”

★★★★★

I bought the Obaby Atlas as I was travelling abroad and needed a cheap 'lie flat' buggy for my 5 month old. Our main mode of transport is the luxurious Quinny Speedi but I am ashamed to admit its the Obaby that gets used most of the time as it fits in my Corsa, only weighs 7.5kg and is acceptable on the bus.

I can't fault it, the baby is now 1 and I don't see us changing it in the near future. Folding is easy and can be done one handed and the raincover provides full coverage and is secure and easy to put on. Maybe not the poshest of buggys to push about but at £60 it beats all the Zapps and Petite Stars for features and reliability. Oh, and you can hang loads of bags on the handles and it doesn't tip over!!!

I have been considering buying this as a replacement for my smaller buggy as my little boy is now 2 and a half and needs something more comfortable especially to sleep in when I'm out shopping. Would you recommend it for this age? Also have you had any trouble with the front wheels like the other reviewers?

“I brought OBaby Atlas Stroller as a replacement buggy...”

★★☆☆☆

written by bumpn3gals on 04/04/2009

I brought OBaby Atlas Stroller as a replacement buggy for my 2 half year old daughter and i picked the rose design as its very girly. I use public transport everyday and find the wheels get stuck on a regular basis if they are on swivel, it is also heavy to push especially with an older child in there. When she lies down her head comes out the end of the pushchair she isnt a big child so cannot understand this, fabric gets dirty easy and is hard to clean. The one good thing is the raincover its good quality and fits right over their feet.
I have now brought a quinny zapp becuase getting really difficult for me to push my dd in this i will still keep it to use when go shopping etc but wont use on a regular basis.
