I diagree with some of the comments i have owned this projector since December 2010 and they gave me 3 bulbs I use the projector constantly and clean the fan cover regular i dont have any problems whatsoever. Maybe the custome helpline may be poor i dont know as i have neever needed to call them? The only downfalls if you want to call them that is, it only has 1 hdmi port which means you have to keeps swapping for sky and ps3 (or get a splitter). The other thing is it doent work perfectly (on mine anyway) with 1080p 1080i works fine Maybe this doesnt make a difference as i only paid £150 and i have a 6ft by 7ft screen. For improvement i would suggest the Decibel level to be lowered if that is possibly i dont notice this but its there and rightly should be due to the high temp bulbs etc remember this has lasted on one bulb since 2011!!! thats incredible i had a £300 projector by optoma and the bulb was like 300hrs ebay`d that piece of crap straight away to get rid. I would also like some sort of upgrade to 3d if available. Great projector nonetheless biught from visualtronic never needed to call them and outside warranty now anyway

We bought a our Clearco HD 9000 Technic projector from Visualtronic earlier this year. It stopped working after 3 months!!! Apart from being really noisy, the projector turns off after about 5 minutes. You can hear the fan working overtime. I sent an email to visual tronic and finally got a response to increase the 'duration' field to 60 as this was a facility on the projector to turn off if not in use. We have done this and it still turns off.

I have called and emailed Visulatronic many times and had no response. HAve they gone bust?

Does anybody know what might be wrong with the projector? It has a 12 month warranty apparently but we have no literature in the box!! I may try to call the manufacturers direct?

The fan was very loud which was distracting during seminars and the projector was heavy to move and didn't have a carry case, thus making it awkward to carry. I decided to change brands within a year.

That said, it was very cheap, it had no mechanical faults and the picture it produced was very clear - not all bad.

Also got an HD9000 bought from visualtronic who supplied it in place of HD500 which was ordered at at better spec; they said it was the same and refused to replace it unless i sent it back at my expense and they would refund less carriage paid both ways. Had a huge row with them and contacted OFT who said they were in breach of contract but of course you have all the hassle of returning at more expense, before maybe getting a resolution. Also they were to supply a cable which they told me after it didn't arrive it was already on it's way from another supplier. It transpired when i contacted yet again they cancelled order despite not returning my extra £40 paid that the supplier hadn't sent it and hadn't got any in stock!. Don't deal with these people. There are many better suppliers out there and you can pick up a HD9000 for less than visualtronic charge if you look around. Will see if I get my $40 back...wts!

Had this projector for less than a day. Scart connection wouldn't work so returned as faulty. Large projector compared to recent mainstream makes. Quality of image poor with blury edges. Doesn't stop there! Visualtronic who sell the projector are a nightmare to communicate with. They don't reply to emails and if you are lucky enough to get a reply it will be days later. Orders are sent out late (not next day)..more like next month! Communication by phone is rushed and very impersonal. I just hope the refund process won't be a nightmare too. I won't hold my breath!
Just a little extra to pay and you get a much better projector but maybe fewer types of connection. You can always get round this with adaptors.

Surprised how good this is for the price. Picture is clean and bright and its good for home cinema use. Sure there are better projectors on the market but i think youd have to spend a hell of a lot more to get a better unit. If you just want to get yourself a projector that does the job well at a good price then this is the one. Very pleased with it.
