Got the Mcallister pro 360. The machine itself is fine. After 2 uses water poured through the handle. Couldn't get a replacement so b n q sold me a ryobi expand it universal hose, lance and gun. The fitting came loose on that and lance shot out of the denting my car. Water was pouring through the connection .Had to buy a whole new kit and the very same thing happened . Had to send to Germany to get the spare part that connects the lance to the gun that kept breaking. Bought 2 again broke after 1 use. Ryobi products terrible . Terrible service from b n q. Machine now in the dump and I've bought a basic karcher . Enough is enough

Agree with all poor reviews of B & Q and their complete lack of after service. My problem was the 1900 Mac Allister 1900W pressure washer (now discontinued - wonder why?) bought 3 years ago and used about 6 times spontaneously burst into flames whilst I was cleaning the decking some 3 months ago. Reported it to B & Q who duly collected and after a reminder reported: "Our Quality Control Department has confirmed that the pressure washer has been tested by a third party company who have confirmed that the product failed and this was not due to customer misuse. It was considered that the most likely cause of the damage seen was the starter capacitor failing resulting in it rupturing. As our Quality Control Department advise that they have not been made aware of any other issues of this nature they confirm that this appears to be an isolated case." They have offered a derisory goodwill payment of £30. I had asked for a replacement - different make of course, but with out a receipt they are not moving. My question is, has this happened to anyone else? It is potentially very dangerous.

As for everyone else, water gushing frm the trigger gun connection point to the high pressure hose. Have replace 3x now - same thing happens by the second usage. Avoid avoid!

The lances for these machines are sheer garbage, Spares from B&Q are non existent and difficult to get anywhere else. I have had 3 of these now, The first blew up on second year, I though I have just had a bad one, the second was replaced under Warranty the third is now pouring water out of anywhere but the end of the Lance. It has put me off buying anything McAllister again forever, in fact I now only go to B&Q as a last resort.

My main complaint is it is very difficult to get spares after you have made the purchase then the warranty runs out after 1 year. A power washer is not something that is used excessively every day over the season when it is then put away in shed /garage till next year by which time the warranty has expired. Getting spares is expensive as BQ stop selling item and do not provide back up service and you have to buy the latest new gadget which again will be "end of line" or obsolete within a short time frame.. This of course is what they want us to do. By making it difficult to repair or replace a part we have to buy again and enter into disposable consumerism. I would like to be able to repair an item rather than throw it away and get the latest piece of soon to be junk. This complaint is as much against BQ as the manufacturers of Pro Performance power washers. Products and Services today are abysmal.

Bought the 1700W model from B&Q. Used it and thought it was pretty good apart from the hose connector being missing (I had one lying around). Second time I got it out (today) it started but then died almost instantly. Returned it to B&Q expecting a replacement only to wait around half an hour while they tried one after another and found none they had left worked. Very poor, wasted time and petrol money having to return it only to get a refund - B&Q didn't even have the decency to offer an alternative make/model at the same price to make up for my wasted trip.

First thing was that hose connection was not tight enough - certainly not an expensive to replace. Like other reviewers, my first gun leaked within the warranty time BUT a replacement gun only lasted about one year (app 6 washes) then I was found out that a spare gun was difficult to find

Everything fine to start with, once out of guarantee the problems started... as with other users the water pipe inside the gun cracked, replaced this for £35 Inclusive of delivery, just about managed to clean the decking(16MSq) before oil started to leak from the bottom of the unit, and it packed up!!! For the spec it did appear value for money compared to other products,in hindsight possibly not.

MACHINE WORKED OK FOR A FEW TIMES THEN HANDLE STARTED LEAKING.I STRIPPED THE HANDLE AND FOUND THE TRIGGER PIPE HAD CRACKED. HANDLE REPLACED UNDER WARRANTY BY B

We have had problems with Mac3 since purchased. Had it replaced twice now under guarantee now packed in again out of guarantee period. The jet does not spin so cannot get a proper spray from it. I will throw it away and won't be buying this product again and wonder if any of these jet sprays are meant to last. Someone bought a new gun but that packed in after just 3 uses.

Bought a MAC3 pressure washer because it looked like a quality product and paid a small fortune for it. It appeared to work well the first year, cars, patios, slabs ect. Used no more than a dozen times. Then it was garaged and brought out this year after a year lying idle because of last years poor weather. Just like other posters on here the handle poured water everywhere.I replaced the [ O } rings inside but it was a waste of time. Replacement cost of new part £40. it's going in the bin and a cheap model of some other make will do me. PS. after sales at b and Q stinks.

looks like my MAC 3 is the same as all the others - water flooding out of the gun and when I switch it on it just runs straight away when it should really just make one rev and go silent until you press the trigger. Very disappointed with this. Actually my third pressure washer (Karcher ones before) which has lasted less than 18 months - total disgrace

This is a dreadful machine, used it four times and the gun leaked, phoned B&Q, they told me to buy a replacement gun, I did so (not cheap!) used the new attachment twice and it leaked again. I changed the pipe etc still leaked everywhere. These aren't for everyday use, cleaning the car etc so you would expect them to last. wrong! The moral of the story is don't buy "own-brand" products.

Same as all the other reviews!! This product has got to be my biggest waste of money EVER!! Bought the MAC 3 two years ago and it wasn't cheap (around the £300) so thought we were getting a quality machine. Used it once and it did the job but it leaked everywhere. Not being an expert on pressure washers I thought this was normal and cleaned it all down and packed it all away. Didn't use it at all last year. Got it out today to clean the patio/decking. It looks brand new so got it all set up and as soon as I turned it on, the lance connection popped out of where it connects to the machine. When I tried to re-connect it, part of the screw fitting had broken off so there is no way on this green earth that I can get it connected. I only wish I had researched this product before parting with my money. One use out of something that cost the guts of £300 is appalling. Never, ever, ever buy MAC Allister produccts. They are rubbish!!
