A lot of US websites only ship in the US. And when you don't live there, you can't buy products you want.
Thanks to Borderlinx, I can buy on Ebay, ModCloth, Forever 21 or Beauty.com and be delivered at home in Australia. It's very easy to use: just register (it's free). Borderlinx gives you a 'ship to' address in US, that you use on merchants websites. They handle all customs formalities: no surprises on delivery.
I find their rates competitive.
As they say, "shop, ship, enjoy!"
