Considering I have had 18 months of hell with Virgin Media and nobody listens and sticks to a script when you call, I thought I would compile my experiences in here so that hopefully more people can be aware of the dirty tactics used by this terrible company.
28.01.14 Mark Womersley- Virgin Media sales- Knocks at my door and convinces me that virgin are doing great offers, so I invite him in for a coffee and a chat, thinking we had saved money on sky my missus signs up to a 12 month multiroom deal with V+ boxes in both rooms...
8.02.14 Virgin come and install the package, first thing i notice when I return from work is that the coax to the house is just laid across the garden, next followed by the upstairs box is not a + box so we cant record upstairs, also the same day we receive the contract through the post which informs us that it is a 18 month contract...... My partner calls Virgin to explain we had paperwork saying we had signed up to a 12 month contract and should have a + box upstairs, there get out of jailcard if we was not happy we should have cancelled within the 7 days after signing up.....
VIRGIN REFUSED TO LET US OUT OF THE CONTRACT....
all went quiet after numerous complaints and virgin replied with THE SCRIPT...

2015 arrives and we decide to downgrade the package or cancel early after numerous calls including been hung up on twice for disagreeing with a customer service advisor (She claimed I had Fibre To The Premises?? I argued and explained it was coax, and to trust me on that Im a fibre jointer by trade) we decided to downgrade... big mistake... now in another 12 month contract which wasnt explained to us at the time, we received the letter a couple of weeks later, about 15-16 days as i remember, so i call to say we did not want another 12 month contract, this was replied with you have 14 days to cancel, nothing we can do....


SO TODAY 26.05.2015
I come home to see the cable still laying across the garden and think sod it I am returning to sky, getting a cancellation fee out of them was near on impossible, followed by asking why i wanted to leave, i explained the above plus a lot more to be told YOU HAVE 14 WORKING DAYS TO CANCEL.....

LIE AFTER LIE FOR 18 MONTHS... AVOID VIRGIN MEDIA LIKE THE PLAGUE.... I have forwarded all my correspondence etc... to OFCOM... i asked for copys of our telephone conversations to which i was told not all calls are recorded... how convenient....

I am now left with a bill of £240 to get rid of these clueless cash greedy merchants, please dont even consider letting them near your house, YOU WILL REGRET IT...
