I decided to give Virgin Media a try after moving and discovering a Sky dish couldn't be attached to my building. The TV package is very expensive if you want all the HD channels so had to go without them but I was looking forward to 30MB Broadband.

My installation date was 26th August between 1pm and 6pm, a real pain as I earn great money on a bank holiday but needed it installed so took the day off, you can guess what happened, no one turned up!

I phoned customer services and after waiting about 40 minutes to talk to the right person I got the biggest shock I've ever had with a customer service operative, she accused me of lying and said the installer turned up but I was out! Every time I explained to her that both myself and my daughter were both in all day and that it was impossible for someone to turn up without us seeing them she just replied with "no you wasn't there, our engineer did turn up". I was then offered another installation date 8 days later, did I want am or pm?

I then decided to explain to the jumped up, rude, bad attitude condescending little sht that I wasn't willing to loose another £100 in wages to wait for someone else to not turn up again as if they are that adamant that they turned up they have got the wrong address, her reply was "am or pm". This went on for 5 minutes and I have no doubt at all that her and her team are playing games where they try to make the customer as angry as possible.

It gets worse, much worse!

I have a friend who works for Virgin so while with him he phoned them up to find out what had gone wrong, he was immediately told that the engineer couldn't find my address! You have to also ask the question, why didn't he phone me if he was lost, or use google maps or any sat nav that all pin point my exact address. They still quoted an 8 day wait for a revisit.

I have never in my life had such horrific customer service and I feel I will have no choice but to put a small claims court claim in for my lost earnings.

Please please please stay away from Virgin Media if it can be helped.
