I have never in my life received such amazing personalized service, thank you Scott! This company knows how to treat its customers and knows how to make a quality product for our little friends! I knew when I opened the box from the quality packing to pulling out each part that this was worth my money. I would buy it again and again and spend double if I had to. We had a Le Bistro auto-pet feeder before this that worked well but Butters got a rash on her face from the plastic. The Le Bistro had too large of a portion size (lowest setting was 1/4 cup) so we had no choice but to over feed her and had to give her meals less often because of it. She would also try to get the food out and some would drop in between feedings. With my perfect pet feeder she has not tried to get food (I think because the product is so sturdy) and her rash is gone! Now Butters gets three small meals a day of perfect portion! I love that you can throw the parts in the dishwasher and I love that it has a power cord instead of batteries! I can't think of anything to improve and the name says it all!

Technically, absolutely EVERYTHING! The second best feature is probably the 'feeding time bell,' and the sound of a Vegas slot machine with the food 'pay off.' The kids go crazy for it! This unit gives me freedom...Can you put a price on freedom? No way!

But--by far--the best feature: THE FABULOUS CUSTOMER SERVICE! I had two very MINOR issues (over >year), both of them due to 'operator issues.' The responsiveness of the PPF service team blew my mind! You can be 1000% sure that if you ever have even the SLIGHTEST problem, the PPF team will dance attendance on you and your pets' needs. I cannot say enough about the customer service!

I wish that the LCD display was easier on my 'old eyes' ...and that it was higher, so as to be easier on my 'old body.' But given that I rarely have to change it, it's a long, LONG way from reducing my rating of a perfect 10.

Before me and my PPF settled in, I thought that I was foolish for spending this much money on a pet feeder. But it was among the best investments I've made. You won't be sorry.

If you have pets, you need the Perfect Petfeeder - period! Regulates feeding times, results in happy and healthy pets, and gives you back your freedom. No need to run home to feed pets on time - it is all done automatically. Expensive but worth the investment. Your pets will thank you!

I have it programmed to dispense food every 4 hours, 6 times a day. I no longer have a hungry begging cat pestering me for food 1-2 hours before mealtimes. When I started using the feeder, I had only one adult cat. Now that I've got two cats, I easily changed the configuration to the two-bowl system. There was no break-in period... they took to it right away. It's so nice to be able to be gone for the day, or even overnight, without worrying about their meals. They love it, and my husband and I love it too.

After trying two other automatic pet feeders and returning them for a variety of reasons that made them completely unsatisfactory and untrustworthy, I decided to spring for the Perfect Petfeeder after seeing the customer comments on their web site www.perfectpetfeeder.com. They offer a 35 day return policy, so I knew that if it, too, had problems I could return it for a refund.

The unit arrived (I purchased it in white, it is also offered in black) and I knew immediately from looking at the manual, one of the best I've ever seen for an appliance product, that this was different. You can download the manual from their site and you'll see what I mean.

The construction of the unit is superb. It reminds me of those appliances that are so solid you know they're going to work forever, like a Kirby Vacuum. The people who designed this really are very inventive, and have provided everything I could want in an automatic pet feeder. In my case I have two cats and the fact that this unit comes with both the one and two bowl options (for feeding two pets) included in the price is outstanding.

Ease of cleaning was very important to me, as the other two feeders I had tried had completely sealed dispensing mechanisms where all the oils and bits of food could build up and become rancid. They were impossible to clean. This unit allows all the parts that dispense the food to be removed. They're stainless steel and are dishwasher safe to clean.

The reliability features like the battery backup power and the food level alert are very thoughtful and work perfectly.

Pet acceptance is always an issue with something like this, similar to an automatic litter box. In my case, my two cats took about two days to get used to it and now they just sit in front of it a short while before each meal. You can program it to feed one to six meals each day, and each meal can be a unique amount.

Then there's the design - it is so beautiful just to look at. Like a fine Italian espresso maker. It's not something you're ever going to be embarrassed to have seen in your home. In fact, many people who visit my home immediately want to know what it is when they see it.

I know a 10/10 rating may sound like hyperbole, but I honestly feel it is deserving of it.

I hope this is of use to other concerned cat or dog owners who want to give their pets a consistent feeding routine which really is much healthier than free feeding.
