Couldn't be easier

I was looking for a "dateless" plate for my girlfriend's car. So we looked at various sites, starting with the DVLA. whilst I couldn't find anything she was happy with on their website they do have a list of Personalised Registration Dealers that have agreed to comply with DVLA's terms and conditions of ethical trading practices.

I had a look at a few of the websites and then got to Plate Hunter. The website is very easy to use. Prices shown are excluding VAT, but select "Buy" and you see the price, the VAT, any credit card fee....and if you select to have the number plates made by Plate Hunter, the price and postage for these also. Some number plates are advertised on various dealers websites so it pays to have a look around the sites for the same number to see which is the cheapest, and Plate hunter was the cheapest for the 2 or 3 different registrations I looked for.

Once I decided to purchase, I paid a 20% deposit and then Jon at Plate Hunter got in touch to check what date I wanted the registration assigning to the car and how I wanted to pay the balance. The whole process was done whilst on the phone in less than 2 minutes. I also received emails confirming when the deposit payment had been received, where to post the original V5C to (as the plate was going directly on to a car, not on a retention certificate), what the next steps would be, and finally confirmation that the V5C had been updated and the number plates posted. from my initial inquiry late on a Sunday night to having the plates available to fit on the car and the new v5C (logbook) with the new registration took 5 days from start to finish. I also spoke with on the phone who was extremely helpful.

I would have no issue recommending Plate Hunter to anyone looking to purchase a personalised registration - it couldn't have been simpler.
