I can honestly say that uk immigration barristers were absolutely fantastic whilst handling my immigration matter. As I was living out of the UK, and wanted to re-apply for citizenship to allow me to come back, I chose to use this immigration line. They were able to conduct a professional telephone consultations with me to allow me to explain all of the issues I had already overcome and so I could answer all of the questions they needed to answers to so my matter could be worked on. Communication was very very simple, speaking on-line was fantastic and made it cheaper for me rather than having to dial international telephone numbers constantly. When I initially filled in the on-line assessment on the ukimmigrationbarristers.com website, a very well mannered and pleasant male individual phoned me after about 2 hours of waiting and was able to help me understand the process which I would need to go through in order to have a chance of coming back to the UK-Permanently. Once I had signed the advice slip on-line, Things got moving and it wasn't long at all when I received the confirmation of my immigration status which I had been waiting for nervously. Many thanks to UK immigration barristers and the barristers from kings court who helped me with my application. With out your services I wouldn't have been able to get my life back on track and your team have meant that I have been able to do so.

My mother was applying for her UK visa and somehow this company got hold of her details and had her on the phone for over an hour. My mother was told she needed to pay immediately for the application to go any further. As she wanted to pay by credit card she was told there would be a surcharge. She told them I was based in the UK and could pay and they then held a conference call. I was suspicious when they gave their website as my mother went through the official UK website and somehow this company was dealing with her visa. They even had the audacity to see they would grant her visa when they have no authority to grant visas.

If, what you say is correct and your mother did indeed use the official UK government channels to apply/enquire about a visa, then his is a very worrying development.
I have many serious concerns about this company and some of the information in my possession could be explained by what seemingly happened to your mother.
Written on: 28/08/2013
The only way they could of got the details is if they requested a call on the website like I did! This review seems very biased.
Written on: 28/08/2013
In what way is this review biased?
Written on: 28/08/2013
"could of got"?
I think you mean "could have got"
One thing I have learned from reading reviews on here and elsewhere is that many 5 star reviews for UK Immigration Barristers, use the words "could of" when they mean't "could have".
There is even one 5 star reviw on here where the supposed visa applicant visited the Barristers Chambers in the UK and then the British Embassy to get his UK visit visa and UK visit visas for his family who were overseas!
Anyone with a brain and a little knowledge of the visa system knows you cannot apply for a UK visa whilst you are in the UK and just where is the British Embassy supposedly situated in the UK anyway?

The service it's self was good and the barrister they referred to me was excellent. It didn't take as long as I thought it would to get my case moving, just had to attend a consultation to exchange documents and to explain my issue in detail. They booked my appointment with the home office and now thanks to them I am a British citizen again by law.

My instinct told me to use this immigration company to help with my applications for my family's visit visas so we could spend some short but valuable time with our family back in the UK. The professional but inviting website was what firstly drew me to the company as they seemed trust able and very capable of helping me with my matter. They were also one of the top searches for Immigration services available in the UK. So... I filled in their online assessment and awaited a phone call from them. A well mannered male individual phoned me and questioned me on my matter to get all the specifics and to find out my personal requirements whilst using there legal application services. He then passed me through to a payment centre following a conversation with the barristers they were referring me to; which were very helpful (also saving me money by avoiding a card handling fee) and conducting the phone call very professionally reading the companies disclaimer to me over the phone and sending me their 'terms of business' documentation. The following Tuesday, I went to my consultation appointment with the barristers chambers who were also very professional and inviting on entry. We refreshed my requirements to make sure that they had a full understanding as well as the notes already provided by the UK Immigration Barristers sales agent. Exchanging personal documentation too. I left the consultation appointment feeling very happy and confident! I then attended my appointment at the embassy and paid off my home office fees and then All I had to do was await to hear the outcome of mine and my family applications! Thanks MR. T Austin

I tried using them and have been left out of pocket - still pursing a refund!! - and am now using a different adviser. AVOID! they will tell you to hold while they "speak to a barrister" about your case, then tell you that you have a strong case and take your money. I really wish i had found it before handing over my money! though I understand from reading it that some people are not only struggling to get their refunds but also can't get their original documents back!!!! also, note that all the positive feedback posted about them seems to be in clusters (if not on the same day!!). from someone who is struggling to get their money back take my word for it - AVOID THEM AT ALL COSTS! I have been trying to get a refund for 5 weeks now and no end in sight!

-UPDATE-
Have finally managed to obtain my refund - they kept a partial fee of £350 for the intial consultation from the barrister which was filled with errors but I am just glad to get something back!!

You're very lucky! These guys are the same people behind uk visa and immigration. They change name and carry on someplace different!
Written on: 19/12/2013
How did you manage to obtain your refund? Who did you contact? What leverage did you apply?
My son is applying for an ancestry visa and we went with KCC because they looked so good!!!! Silly me!
When we were advised that we would need to get a chartered surveyors report of the house where my son will be living, I smelt a rat. We were told that this is part of immigration law. I don't think so.
And then we can never get a hold of our assigned lawyer, being told that we must go through the " portal" .
At the price I have paid I feel that at least I should be able to deal with her by 'phone if I so desire.
Anyway we are just going to try to do this by ourselves, but I should like to get some of my money back.
Any advice?

Hi Owenroberts,
firstly let me say how sorry I am you find yourself in this situation as I know how horrible it is realising how bad a group this mob really are.
My first tip would be to not give up. Keep calling them. even when they say they'll do something in two days, call them the next day and the day after that. Don't wait for them to get back to you because they never will.
the very best of luck.

My matter was dealt with speedily and communication with my legal representative was very easy and effective. The payments department were very understanding and created a payment plan for myself. My leave to remain application was then explained to me at the consultation which whilst there I was made to feel very welcome, putting my mind at ease. After the consultation I remained in regular contact with my legal representative which I was constantly informed of any issues or changes that needed to be made! After the consultation, I paid off the home office fee's (which were separate) and then I awaited my final result! The application was thankfully approved. Kind regards to my legal representative and to UK Immigration Barristers team that helped me in my pain staking process!

I used UKIB for my fiancée's visa and received all of the necessary services in regards to my case at the most competitive prices. The services were incredible and I would undoubtedly use this company for my extension! Thanks for making things so easy! All in All, I received both of the Visa's in question with-in the time they stated to me (3 months maximum). THANK YOU! Regards, Skalicko' Stephen

I was recommended by a friend that had previous cases with these guys so I used this barristers organisation. My case was soon decided and finalised after about 2 months which was very fast considering my research suggested much longer (Other firms saying 3-4 months). Very satisfying service! Highly Recommend!

I did allot of research into this company, reading many good and bad reviews. I decided I would use this company to bring my wife and children over from Thailand so that they could live with me permanently and so that we could be a family again (As I run a business here in England and met my beautiful wife whilst travelling in south Asia). Thankfully these people soon dealt with my matter and I was e-mailed all terms and any other important information I needed. I then had the Face2Face consultation- where all my questions were answered. Then DOOMS DAY! The barristers managed to put across my plea regarding this request and before I knew it, I was picking my family up from Heathrow! Many Thanks to my Barristers and everyone at UK Immigration Barristers.

I cancelled within 45 minutes of booking with them due to a family problem. They still took the money out of my account 2 days after I had cancelled and now 2 weeks later I am still waiting to get my money back. They say you can cancel within 7 days but they can't even give money back when you cancel within 45 minutes. Please stay away from these people unless you have money to lose. I am 60 and now battling because of them.

This company does not have a licence to provide immigration services and is curently a subject of a criminal investigation. The company will take your documents and money, after which you will not hear from them again. I had to call the police to be able to retrieve my documents. AVOID!!!! Big time!!

Well you are very slow and i give you that. we are trying to get hold of you and trying to call you for the past few days, to know where we stand in my Visa. You don't reply to emails as well, in your own portal. can you understand the amount of pressure that we are on, i am in Egypt and my wife is in UK, i am sure it is not your problem, but at least tell us what is happening. Family future is in stake and the new immigration law is not helping and your slow services is not helping neither.

they phoned me and I voiced concerns over the validity of the company. They told me to look at the number of 5/5 reviews on google, but most of these are through feefo. When I contacted feefo, they told me this company had been banned from their system. This is a terrible company and you should not touch them with a very big barge pole. They are not registered with the legal authorities that they need to be registered with. I told them this and their reply was, we do not need to be (lie), and that they are registered with the local authority. DO NOT SEND THEM ANY MONEY.

Hello. Thanks very much for your valued feedback your response is important to us.
Firstly, UK Immigration Barristers would like to convey its apologies for not meeting the standards you expect of us on this occasion. However, we must disagree with your comments claiming that we were ‘banned’ from the Feefo review site. The decision to withdraw from the use of Feefo’s services was made by UK Immigration Barristers as a commercial decision, Feefo are not the only independent review site providers.
If the statement in relation to Feefo is true, we are saddened that Feefo has decided to communicate with its customers that we were ‘banned’ from the site as this is not the case. We cannot base a response on hearsay or something that cannot be considered factual. What we will say on this issue is that when we did use them we never had any issues with them as a service provider, simply changing providers does not suggest anything untoward we all change providers all of the time be it gas & electricity or insurance.
Furthermore, if this is true, we would consider Feefo’s actions unprofessional as an organisation in bringing our name into disrepute. In response to your defamatory comments labelling us as ‘terrible’, we must protest as we have helped thousands of clients with our services, re-uniting families and friends all over the UK, if that can be considered ‘terrible’ then something is very wrong. We make every effort to resolve disputes with clients amicably and fairly for both parties and we welcome you to contact us directly via email on [email protected] where an adviser will be happy to assist you in bringing this matter to a successful conclusion.

I contacted UK Immigration Barristers, with a view to using their services. I grew ever more suspicious during that phone call despite the rave reviews.
Having seen your denials that Feefo banned UK Immigration Barristers, I decided to check this out for myself. I called Feefo and was immediately put through to a director of the company.
That director made it quite clear that Feefo withdrew their services from UK Immigration Barristers over concerns about whether reviews of UKIB were genuine.
So, the fact is, Feefo wants absolutely nothing to do with UKIB whatsoever.

I used there services when I was in need and they took the money straightaway but did not send the letter for almost 3 weeks.. All communication was done online and you cannot talk anyone on phone which I think is ridiculous and also you don't know who ur case worker is ?????. This is ridiculous I thinks these services are a fluke. My genuine advise is don't use them until somebody you can meet face to face .I was caught with them as they came up at top of Internet search .i am planning to put a formal complaint against them. Please do not use them is my since advice.despite number of requests they kept telling me to wait wait and wait and it's been 6 months now for my ILR despite all the paper work was done Hume and sent to home office .All they had to do was to chase?

I used this company recently for my wifes visa, I found them helpful with information guided me through everything. I was a bit frustrated at the begining because I missed calls from them but once we got going it was good. We were both able to upload documents on their system and had good communication with them. They do cover things in detail and compile the case well. We are awaiting a decision with home office so shouldn't be too long! It does make good sense to use them with rules that are always changing and to make sure forms are filled correctly etc. Good work!

They are not to be trusted! They first make you speak with one of their representatives that has no idea of the legal issues and gives you misleading information to make you chose their services. They want you to pay upfront, before being able to speak to a legal representative. They are very eager before you make your payment but then, when you actually get to speak to the legal representative (Kings Court Barrister Chambers in my case), not only that you notice that they aren't well informed, you actually find out that you've been lied regarding the services that they can provide. And when you ask for a refund, the person that was supposed to represent you will not answer their call, nor call back, and when you call to their main number (from their website), you'll get redirected to as many people as possible. They will all tell you that the financial department works only from 6pm-8pm, and that you'll be called back, but you never are. And if you try and call between those hours, you'll be told that it is outside their office hours and nobody is working so you should try in the morning, keeping you in a loop and never seeing your money again. I haven't got a refund from them yet and I am planning to report them for fraud. DO NOT TRUST this firm, it's only your money they want.

Thank you very much for your valued feedback your response is important to us.
Firstly, UK Immigration Barristers would like to convey its apologies for not meeting the standards you expect of us on this occasion. In response to your particular concerns we’d like to emphasise, as per our terms of service and care to you as a customer, applications are not sent until every case is watertight. Whilst we appreciate that the process of UK Immigration can be frustrating, The Barristers in our network have a responsibility to present the best case file possible to the authorities to ensure that your case is resolved successfully. Every case is different; therefore time-scales also vary.
In reference to communication procedures, the on-line service provided is clearly specified on our website and recited to customers when the legal process begins. Clients are made fully aware that all communication is conducted via an on-line portal system and your legal representative is named. The portal also allows for 24/7 communication with a dedicated & named individual, our communication process is in place for the purpose of efficiency. Documents can be uploaded, messages can be sent and received, despite having a telephone service available for clients to speak with someone freeing our legal representatives from making themselves available lengthy telephone calls and enabling them to deliver the personal attention your matter deserves.
The option to meet some face-to-face is available via our consultation service which every client is given the option to undertake, based on your comments it is clear that this was refused by yourself. Again, we reiterate and understand your frustration, but the process of obtaining ILR is not straightforward and we believe many of your grievances are being aired out of frustration.
UK Immigration Barristers serves as intermediary agent, specifically dealing with completing visa application forms and assisting with legal representations for your case file. We must stress that the overall decision for your matter resides with the Home Office, which currently has a backlog of hundreds of thousands of cases, which is out of our control.
We make every effort to resolve disputes with clients amicably and fairly for both parties and we welcome you to contact us directly via email on [email protected] where an adviser will be happy to assist you in bringing this matter to a successful conclusion.
We welcome your reply. Many thanks and have a pleasant day.
