Con!! Do Not Use

Ordered a racking unit for some baby corn snakes. They took the £276 instantly, but after 7 weeks no delivery. Called numerous times with no reply, phone just kept on ringing with nobody answering. Emailed time and time again, with no reply. Facebooked messaged with no reply. This company is a complete con!! and should be avoided at all costs.Thankfully the order was paid by visa, so could get the money back. They seem to be still trading and I'm assuming will still take your money. PLEASE PLEASE do NOT use. They are to be reported to trading stadards.

Waste Of Time.

I wanted to purchase a snake for my collection. I sent four emails to 888 Reptiles, not one was answered.

If they cannot answer an email I am certainly not going to trust them with an order or my money.

They just don't care about customers at all.

Don't Do It! Avoid!

Absolutely useless company. I made an order for 11 items and chose express delivery (1-3 working days). On the third day I had to call only to be told some of the items I ordered were out of stock. If this was the case why was I allowed to add them to my basket? Why did 888 not contact me? Anyway, I asked for the items they did have in stock to be sent to me. They finally sent me 5 of my items two weeks after my order was placed. After countless emails trying to find out when I can expect the rest of my order, which they never reply to, I finally had to raise a dispute with PayPal. Amazingly 888 finally responded! They offered me a partial refund, but not for the delivery fee, so I refused obviously. They then agreed to refund the delivery costs also which I accepted. Now they have gone quiet again. PayPal say they will try to resolve the dispute within 30 days. No doubt 888 will sit on the refund until the last minute.

Needless to say I will never order anything through this joke of a company again. Whilst they do have good prices for certain F10 products I suggest you only order through them if you don't mind waiting indefinitely for it to be delivered and you don't mind being continuously ignored. I made the mistake of reading the reviews but not heeding them. For the sake of a few quid go through a good company. Try Blue Lizard, Internet Reptile, or better still Amazon (if it's sold and dispatched by them).

Very Poor Service

Order placed online and paid fortunately by PayPal. All seemed fine and order status showed sent for picking soon after. No change for five days so called to check, informed they were out of stock but id get items sent later that week. Answerphone later that week from them to say out of stock, well get them out early next week.so by Wednesday of following week I thought lets call to see where they are as they dont reply to email. No answer from their office throughout the day.PayPal dispute raised. Very disappointed customer, I wish id read their reviews before ordering as this seems a common issue. Avoid

Reptile Rip Offs

Do not bother even contemplating using these guys and you avoid more problems than you can imagine. Their customer service is lip service alone. Their organisation apart customer relations are a complete shambles. They may feign caring about your order but they do not.

My story starts when I bought a snake on sept 30th despite claiming on the website to offer delivery of livestock to Scotland every two weeks. Two runs later and several phonecalls where I was given excuses such as 'the van broke down' and other 'large orders have fallen through' I have no snake. The earliest possible delivery date given nothing going wrong was November 1st. I was after some discussion about the quality of service and false reassurance offered a refund. I am still trying to get the refund offered delivered through my PayPal account.

As for my orders on accessories and frozen food I have had more trouble than I would like to admit with two out of three! Two orders have been ridiculously late even by the 3-5 working days (standard delivery) standards suggested on the 888 reptiles website.

Having waited eight days for the first of these two deliveries I rang up the company to ask why there had been a delay. I was told that one of the items had been discontinued. Did I want a refund on it or an alternative. I chose a refund and thereafter things went smoothly. The company had made no attempt to Contact me by phone or email in the eight days before I contacted them to let me know the item was out of stock.

At the time and I decided to give 888 another chance given that it was my first order with them.

Recently, I placed an order for frozen food to be delivered. After a week I wondered what had happened with my order and rang up. I was told there had been a delay in the delivery of ice and the order would be dispatched by the next day. After another three or four days I rang again. I asked to cancel the order and get a refund. I was told the order had just gone out for next day delivery and that I would recieve an email with a teaching number later that afternoon. I have never received the order or email and am just about to ring up again to try and sort this order out.

All in all I wish I had never come across this company. I dearly hope as many people as possible read this review And avoid the troubles I am faced with. My £153 refund has yet to be received and an order of frozen food worth £70 is nowhere to be seen and unlikely to arrive still frozen and fresh!

Used 888 a few times always been very helpful and responsive…ordered a variety of items from frozen through too livestock. Quick delivery good customer service……they have aslo price matched a few bits for me too!

Customer Service A Joke

Used 888 reptiles a few times without any problems but latest order is my last one. Ordered a few things, all in stock on their website. When delivery came with invoice 1 item was missing with OUT OF STOCK next to said item. Checked their website, it was still showing in stock available for purchase. Emailed them. No reply, phoned them, explained the situation, was told they've been out of stock for a while and we have refunded your cost back into your PayPal. I checked PayPal account and no refund. I emailed them, no reply. 4 further emails, and a phonecall nothing. Still no refund or any reply to emails. Now had to file a dispute through PayPal and still no reply from them. Certainly not the way to run a business. Will never use them again and would never recommend them either.their website shouldn't show items in stock if they don't have them in stock. Pretty simple really.

Appauling Customer Service

DO NOT USE

We used to use 888 a lot however we have now had a huge problem with them. After calling to find out about availbaility I had to constantly phone up to find out what they had. They kept saying they would get back to me and then didn't. When we finally booked an order we were told 24 hours later they were not available. We had to change our order and pay the extra cost for it. One of their staff members were very rude and when i phoned to complain I spoke to the manager who said he would call right back. Another member of staff phoned 2 seconds later to say that he had gone into a meeting and wouldnt be calling me back.

It's all very well being a good breeder but you've got to treat your customers well and they just dont. Running away and getting another member of staff to do your dirty work is pathetic.

Please also not that some of the animals we were told were not available are still appearing for purchase on their website.

Excellent Service

I have used 888 a few times and they have always been friendly, the livestock has always reached us in a great condition and has always arrived early :) the only issue was after ordering a jungle carpet python that later turned out to be out of stock they replaced it for an irian jaya at no extra cost for us, so it wasnt really an issue. Im over the moon. Ill definitely be using again.

Poor Customer Service And Attitude.

Whilst looking for a new supplier of frozen rep food I found 888 and placed a sample order late one evening. Expecting the order to be processed the next day and dispatched for delivery the following day as is common with other suppliers I've used. I then received an email on the day I expected delivery saying the order had gone for picking. This was a Friday and as it states on their website frozen deliveries are only dispatched Monday to Thursday I phoned them for more information. This inquiry was met with hostility and a dispute over when exactly the order had been made. Once it was clear that the delivery wouldn't be made until the following Tuesday at the earliest I requested a refund as this was unsuitable. I was then put on hold and transferred to someone else who had probably been told why I was phoning but still answered with an abrupt "how can I help". I again stated I wished to cancel an order and obtain a refund. This lead to another dispute about when the order was placed and how they actually process orders (which it appears is different to how their website explains it). A conversation followed with the person on the other end of the phone nit picking about delivery options and that no one needs to be home to accept delivery...all irrelevant to the conversation. For a third time I requested the order be cancelled and refund be made, at this point I was told of course, if that's what you want why didn't you just say? Then once again the conversation was protracted and irrelevant arguments offered. I pointed out I had infact asked the first person I spoke to for a refund before I was transferred and I'd request the same thing since. Once again we go through the unhelpful customer service spiel until we get to the line "I think the best thing is to just cancel your order" Hallelujah!!!! The message has finally being processed in their brains and resurfaced as their own idea! Reading other reviews after that phone call I will do doubt have to phone them again to chase up the refund!

Their are plenty of other sites and high street rep shops offering quality customer service and good advice I shall be leaving my business divided between my current suppliers. Whilst it looks good on paper to obtain all products from one place,customer service and a helpful attitude make more of a difference!
