Get Connected - www.get-connected.com

Do not use this company under any circumstances. This is my story of being a Get Connected customer:

The company cold called me and pretended to be from EE. They knew my phone contract was up for renewal soon and offered me a new handset. I spoke at length to them and explained that it was important my phone had a good camera. They recommended a Sony Xperia M2. They then proceeded to send the phone (to the wrong address!) which needed to be redirected to my actual address. On using the phone I realised the camera was in fact awful. I then phoned EE back to discuss and it was on phoning EE that I was informed I had not actually taken out a contract with them directly, but was in fact now with Get Connected! So I phone Get Connected within my 14 day cooling off period but was informed that the customer services team were not available and so I had to call back a few days later. I explained this would put me outside my cooling off period but they explained this would not be a problem.

So I call back as I was instructed and guess what. I'm outside the cooling off period and so I can't return the phone or cancel the contract. The customer service is a joke with long periods on hold, staff who have no idea (they don’t even ask security questions!). I have been promised call backs that don’t happen. Copies of the phone call recordings that then don’t get sent. They are unable to transfer you internally so they give you an endless list of numbers to call!

On closer investigation I found that they have been investigated as part of a BBC documentary for.... drum roll... mis-selling! 

If you have had a similar experience I recommend contacting Monmouthshire Trading Standards and Ofcom with your complaint about this joke company. As they will do absolutely nothing to help you resolve the problem.
