Returns Procedure Joke
Ordered an expensive rapid boil hot water dispenser. Delivered and leaked even before it was plugged in!! Item collected 3 days later now 4 days after that I am still waiting for some random so called customer service person to locate my returned item.
Please do not buy from these people do yourself a favour an buy somewhere else and save yourself the grief I am getting. I have never received such poor service and this bearing in mind was brought through amazon who seem as clueless as this pathetic company.

Delivery
I recently ordered a table, which according to their site was to be delivered by 22/12/16, in time for Xmas. only to discover on the 22/23/16 said item was still in the mainland and wouldnt be delivered to ni until the 30/12/16. I am sitting with no table and have family coming for Xmas dinner. I have contacted them and been refunded delivery charge. Totally unacceptable
Mysmartbuy Exchanged Fault Hose After 2 Months
We bought a yellow 'expanding snake hose' from mysmartbuy.com. It leaked all over the place so we contacted the firm online (couldn't get through on the phone). Although the warranty stated that to get a refund we needed to contact the firm within two weeks, we contacted them more than two months later and the firm, now part of Scotts & Co, agreed that we could return the hose and they would supply a new one. They paid for and have arranged collection of the faulty hose. Despite the good service, I still wouldn't advise buying one of their hoses.

Not My Smartestbuy
Silly me! Big mistake to reply to unsolicited e-mail offering good deals at SmartBuy.
Did I recieve the product Yes. At - I believe is a fair price - Yes. So far so good. I opened up my new Film and Slide Scanner, took out the instruction leaflet and hey ho was none the wiser. The machine needs an SD card but what size of SD card?
I had a through read again but the booklet nor the packaging were giving anything away. So I went out and bought a card, A 64GB card for £27.97. I went home put the card in the scanner and hey presto - Card Error!! What kind of error? We'll work that out yourself which I did with the aid of the manufacturers website. Tucked away in the small print and to coin a phrase - I will say thez ony once - maximum 8 GB.
MySmartBuy claim I should have searched their website for this Gold Nugget of Truth I say - why should we have to dig so deep? I think OurSmart Sell would be a better name for this company.

Eckmann Products
Really sorry to hear they might be in liquidation. My son has a gardening business and has been using Eckmann products through 'my smart buy' for several years. Any problems and we have found the customer services brilliant. His tools take a lot of punishment but he has found the Eckmann tools as long lived if not more so than more expensive products. They have a spare parts facility which has proved invaluable. If they are still trading I would thoroughly recommend them
Here We Go Again............... Why Are They Not Struck Off!
How many companies can trade like Mysmartbuy.com or Eckman, and not be bought to justice, there should be tuffer trading standards, so that at least the customer can get some satisfaction.
I purchased one of these Extending hedge trimmer, so called Professional cutters, and like everyone else, its a load a rubbish, will not cut butter, but as usual no one at Mysmart or Eckman, wants to know.
How do we get compensation.....if we had gone to a proper retailer, we would have had some rights....I suggest we all get to together and decent on their doorstep!!!!
Gone Bust?
Need a new battery for hedge trimmer- Eckman site seems defunct. Ordered a refurbished battery from recell. Hope it works!6
I have several Eckman products, (I find them very good) but needed a new battery.I used "Recell Your Battery" to upgrade and the battery is better than original £40 so not cheap but worth a try.I will be doing another one when it's life weakens
Mysmartbuys/eckman Ceased Trading!
Eckman garden tools and chainsaws still showing as for sale on various sites including Amazon, but Mysmartbuys/Eckman (they seem to be the same people) have now ceased trading and you can only get a message to that effect on their helpline.

Company In Liquidation
The electric motor on my 4-in-1 hedgetrimmer/chainsaw has failed after only one month and I wished to claim on the 12 month guarantee. MySmart Buy phone line has a recorded message saying the office is closed and will reopen on 31st March! I have received an email from them confirming that the Company went into liquidation on 11th April and is no longer trading. A meeting of creditors is being convened and an Administrator will be appointed in due course. Those wishing to make a claim of any kind should write to the Registered Office at 29 Welbeck Street London W1G 8DA by Recorded Delivery to make a claim now. Incidentally, Eckman Limited who supplied MySmartBuy with the goods are still trading at present and have the same Registered Office. The instructions on the Eckman website and in their instruction booklet says that the guarantee is a manufacturer's guarantee and will be honoured if bought direct from Eckman or from MySmartBuy. Alternatively, make a claim against your credit card provider if you bought with a credit card.
Q&A
Is this company still trading? A few reviewers said they had gone into liquidation. Yet they are still selling on Amazon.
I bought something from them in December 2013. No problems then. In March 2014 they ceased trading and went into liquidation but in May 2014 the brand was bought by "Catalogue King" who owns Scotts of Stow and several other similar enterprises.
This is all on the internet and can be found very easily. I cannot understand why some people have to ask such elementary questions and don't appear to have the gumption to do a simple Google search themselves.
Has this company gone into liquidation? If so, what happens to the 12 month guarantee offered on their goods since the item I bought from them has failed.
Unfortunately, Chris980A's answer is incorrect. Although the website is still live any attempt to buy goods is met by a message indicating that no orders are being processed at present. See the review by fwArnold184 dated today which sets out the true position which has been verified. The question of what happens to warranties is still not resolved and will be a matter for the Company's Administrator in due course.
