Terrible Tech Service/business
I have purchased several products from Sargent and found if I need some advice/help they have been quite unhelpful. They sell to motorhome/caravan manufacture and the general public, I feel they are not interested in helping self builders (campervans)
It's a shame as there products are good but there attitude is appalling, it's time they looked at customer relations!!
I'm surprised they are still in business.

As an Auto Trail RV owner I’m stuck with their (lack of) service and extremely poor customer service provided by Sargent. I have just been invited to pay a new annual subscription for their monitoring service that a few months ago I was notified had ceased - as it transpires I’ve never actually had it, apparently and unbeknown to me when I first “signed up”. This is illegal but my latest customer service response informs me I will receive an additional request - but to ignore it! So, I’ve paid for a service they’ve never supplied and I’ve been asked for a new annual subscription that does not exist! Beware of this appalling company especially if you own an Auto Trail RV overseas. They refuse to assist or replace incompatible equipment - that they supplied in a $250k motorhome, that they fitted out. As for Auto Trail UK they also refuse to assist.

After purchasing a wiring unit and as I’m installing the wiring for unit I found that they’ve made it difficult and iv been a electrician since 1990 when I rang there technical help line all I got is a woman that thought she was a cut above anyone she so rude if she worked for me she would have been fired
By now she was ranting on when I told her that we was new to the system as work on high voltage systems with her been so rude I asked her to calm down a little and all I got is a rude attitude and she put the phone down after I had been waiting for someone to pick up the phone 15 minutes and that what you get I don’t think she was competent to answer the phone absolutely rubbish customer is king they need to remember that Don’t duty from this company I don’t know how they are still in business terrible customer service
Spot on, I've had the same issues with there "Tech support" terrible service, talking down to me, not helpful at all. They sell to the general public but don't want help afterwards. I think the only reason they are be still in business is they supply large motorhome/caravan companies.

After purchasing a power control unit I soon noticed the wiring diagram didn't correspond with the unit. after phoning them, they said everything was correct. Funny how a few months later they changed manual and online wiring diagram !!!!!
13 months later I decided to fit a solar panel to to control unit. As you guessed that didn't work either, After phoning them again and running a series of test it still didn't work. as they pointed out it was out of warranty and if I sent it back it would incur a charge to repair the unit. At that point I decided to have a look inside the unit myself ? I found the positive and negative wires to the solar regulator the wrong way round. Basic stuff. Id like to know how this unit was tested, inspected and passed???
They can't get the basics right. Id never buy anything from them again.

Support is actually good (tech support wise) sales are terrible, the most un-customer service team I have dealt with in a long time, like robots!
They made a mistake sending the wrong unit, made me pay to return it and then would not refund me until they checked it! joke, and unlawful.
Excellent Customer Service
I have a Motorhome and some time ago the 12 volt system stopped working.Having tried everything I could think of I posted on one of the Motorhome Forums I use. Sargents came onto the forum providing advice as to what checks I needed to make.Having carried out all the options they advised me to send them my Control Boxes informing me of the Fixed repair charges and also if there were no faults simply a charge for examination. Ten days later back came my Power Unit and Digital Panal. Over the next week I made many errors installing the items but on every call to Sargents I was provided with detailed help on where I was going wrong nothing was to much trouble.What a great service.
