I have just read the previous reviews from 2014. Unfortunately this company is still not performing in 2017. Exactly the same experience as the previous posts. I ordered on 18th Jan, they took money 19th Jan. no further emails, just voice mail, can't be bothered with their wallet thing. I went straight to my bank who are investigating the company and my order, as I paid with my visa card, I expect they will collect the money from the company on my behalf. Never, never use. the real company to do business with is electrical discount UK, they are trying to use a legitimate companies name, so we may fall for their sham. Electrical discount UK has nothing to do with this company, electrical discount centre. Surprise, as I am writing this, a man rang and said he would chase up the warehouse for my order, after reading these reviews, I am believing it is a stalling tactic, we shall see.

Ordered a TV on 16th December as a Christmas present for my partner. Money was taken out of my account on 19th December. Emails from EDC confirming my order.Then email stating it would be delivered W/C 30th December. Okay too late for Christmas but on its way!!!. No TV delivered. Then another email stating stock allocated and it was due for delivery 9th January. It did not arrive. Emailed EDC 3 times and did not receive any reply. Telephoned them but all I got was ansaphone. Left messages on 3 occasions but no response. Telephoned Allied wallet and they promised to contact me within 2 days. They didn't. Emailed Allied wallet again via their website an again received no reply. Reported matter to my credit card company and again contacted Allied Wallet via live chat and they told me they hadn't contacted me because they hadn't been able to contact EDC. Today February 4th I have received the money back in my credit card account.

Ordered a TV on dec 11th as a Christmas present.On dec 16th told they had located stock and would deliver on dec 23rd.Sent 4 emails without reply and left 3 messages on their answerphone again without reply.They sent me an email at 23.04 on 23rd dec saying they would be delivering on jan 6th.Contacted allied wallet and electrical discount to try to get my money back and got a reply from allied wallet to say they would come back to me in 2 business days which they never did.Spoke to Allied wallet on jan 6th who said they would credit me £220 in 7-10 business days. Electrical Discount Centre is by far the worst company I have ever dealt with. I went to J Lewis (50 miles) on Christmas eve and bought a television and they said this company is well known to them and they have had many similar experiences from customers dealing with this company

I had exactly the same experience as the previous posts. On reflection the prices are just too low to ring true. I had the ridiculous server down excuse prior to the delivery date of 13/12/13 for my Sony TV, and a new date of 20/12/13. When that date arrived and I wanted to confirm delivery, I rang the number.. and rang... not even an announcement of the company or option to leave a message. I then looked on line and found the first review and reflected on the quality and style of this so called companies communication and attitude and realised, after many years of using online discount companies, that I had made a terrible mistake. I then went into damage limitation mode, ringing Allied Wallet and telling them what I thought of EDC, and sending a very strongly worded email to EDC themselves. I got a prompt email back from EDC which alluded to stock problems, offered me £50 compensation and advised delivery would be from 6/1/14. I can see these chancers just try to hook people deeper and deeper in, genuine companies just don't work the way EDC does ( if you have not got the stock you know it has not been released to the courier and you would advise the customer ). A further email to EDC demanding a refund, and another to Allied Wallet saw my card refunded on 28/12/13. If you are reading this because you have paid for goods but not got them as promised and are worried, don't mess about - cancel (the t&cs state delivery within 28 days) and demand a refund - there are plenty of other companies - I went elsewhere and have my new TV.

I ordered a Samsung LED TV from Electrical Discount Centre 16/11/13. Payment was taken 18/11/13. Delivery was due for 28/11/13. I received an email from EDC 28/11/13 stating there was a server down which would delay delivery to 6/12/13. I received a further email from EDC 6/12/13 again stating there was a server down which would delay delivery to 13/12/13. Yet again I received another email 13/12/13 stating there was a server down which would delay delivery to 20/12/13. At this point I cancelled the order. I had also on several occasions attempted to contact this company using the telephone number on their website. On every attempt (at least 20) the calls went to an answering machine. The messages I left were never replied to. I have still not received the TV 6 weeks after the order was placed and have received no further correspondence via email. I have spent sometime researching this company and I've discovered the telephone number is also linked to at least 2 other companies which have also ripped people off using almost identical tactics. PLEASE PLEASE DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY OR ANY OTHER COMPANY USING THE TELEPHONE NUMBER!!!!!!

I ordered a Television on-line on Saturday 16th November. Payment was taken almost immediately. I received a follow-up e-mail on Monday 18th November with advice of delivery on 28th November. This seemed to be a long delivery time however I decided to wait, the delivery not being critical. I heard nothing until Thursday 28th November when I received a further e-mail advising me that delivery was delayed by a further week (to Thursday 6th December)! The reason given that a server was down and they were unable to send consignments. I work in IT and if we have a server down it is back up and working within hours, not days! I sent a response to this e-mail and thus far have heard nothing.
