“DO NOT USE”

Went to the Petersfield branch to get my iPad Air2 screen fixed, was quoted £160 and told it would take a week - paid £40 deposit and left it with them. Then received a call a few days later saying it was going to cost more as the part needed now costs more, it would be £199!! Understandably I wasn't happy about this, but there was no budging on the price so I told them not to do it and I would collect it and take it elsewhere. Was called when it was back in store and told I would be refunded the £40 deposit, attended the store to collect it only to be told that I couldn't have the £40 back as contractually it was non-refundable!!! Absolute rubbish, no such thing written into the "contract" I had signed. When I said the man that phoned said I would get my money back I did receive a refund. A terrible customer experience from beginning to end. Ended up taking my iPad to Phone Repair Doctor in Waterlooville, great service with a quick fix costing £169!!

“Good old fashioned customer service”

I am self-employed and rely on my PC for my work. When it wouldn't turn on, I contacted the Disking Farnham branch and the staff there diagnosed the problem, fixed it and had the PC ready for collection in 24 hours. They were friendly, efficient, professional and helpful. I was very impressed by the service.

“Possibly the worst customer service I have ever...”

shocking. incompetent. Hide behind a veneer of politeness but actually make the minimum effort to resolve problems. Faulty hard drive lost (FULL OF DATA!!!!) having been given to them to organise data recovery. Insulting compensation of £60 given - which took over SIX months to squeeze out of them. Almost never returned phone calls and messages. One staff also gets quite angry sounding very quickly if you dare to say you are not happy with the service. TRULY TERRIBLE SERVICE.

Believe it or not they have another side of the business which sells coffee. You can find the link in their 'partners page'. They advertise that the computer shops can be used as pick up points for the coffee orders. I bought some coffee and coffee mugs from their other website in Feb 2013. They took the payment and sent the coffee, but the mugs were listed as 'out of stock' and didn't arrive. That is the last I ever heard. I emailed the coffee company repeatedly and was ignored. Recently I noticed a new email address on the coffee site: [email protected] I emailed them at this address - and this was ignored too. Fortunately I am only out of pocket by about £10. I'd hate to have bought something more expensive from them...

“No customer service”

I was sold a reconditioned laptop without out my knowledge, it was sold as new - it's only when I had a problem that I found out. In the shop I was told someone would phone me back the same day - a week or two later there was no call. I then wrote explaining the problem (battery) but two weeks later there is still no acknowledgement or reply. Disking has no idea what customer service means!

“Disking Farnham ipad problem ”

My new birthday present ipad was dropped onto the bathroom floor and the screen shattered . The first lesson is to get a good protective cover from the outset , the apple ipad magnetic cover can come off too readily . The second is not to despair , because I turned to my local Disking store in Farnham who replaced the screen very efficiently and at reasonable cost . With a new cover also from Disking the ipad has functioned without problems for more than a year since . Over a number of years of using the store in Farnham I have found the staff friendly and helpful and I would certainly recommend it . Norman Taylor

Quality goods at cheap prices, which I actually checked online with some of the goods, they're really competitive especially with laptops. Customer service are fantastic, they were welcoming, nice people to interact with in terms of giving me advices and charging me with reasonable prices for repairs. Would recommend to go there again for anyone!!!

“Terrible repair! ”

I recently took my ipad 2 into Disking Farnham as the screen was cracked. It took about 11 days for it to be returned and it cost £100. The screen is poor quality and had already started to come away from the ipad. I will never use Disking for anything ever again!

“Best Avoided”

Deeply unimpressed with this outfit. They sold me a 'new computer' which was in fact an ex-display model complete with signs of wear and tear. I was informed by a manager that this was considered acceptable and was in fact company policy! Be aware if you are considering buying a new computer from them it may not be new but rather an ex-demonstration item!

“Disking - Farnham - Computer Repairs -Dell Dimension 5000”

I have recent had difficulties with a Dell Dimension 5000 desktop computer which caught a virus and died . Disking took the computer in , cleaned it up and returned it quickly and efficiently - no fuss . The age of the computer mean't a week later there was a technical problem providing power to run the Computer . I took the computer back to Disking who replaced the power unit and whilst I waited . The team new exactly what was wrong and fixed it quickly and efficiently . I would highly recommend the computer service avalibale in Disking . The staff are cheerful , efficient and highly trained . Don't buy anything from this shop.

I was sold something which didn't work on my computer and they refused to swap the goods as they'd been opened. How was I going to establish if it worked without opening it?

I was given a long speech about why it should work; which to be honest I wasn't interested in as all I was looking for was to swap the goods for something which worked.

This is what you get for trying to support local businesses. Not helpful!

I went into the Disking petersfield shop to buy a laptop for my daughter's birthday, I told the boy that I didn't know much about computers and he very happily explained to me how it works and what he thought she would need. I thought I was pushing it telling him I needed the laptop 2 days later and even that wasn't a problem. I got a phone call the next day! saying it was all ready to be picked up. Thank you Disking for your help my daughter was over the moon and the laptop had everything she needed. I would definatly recomend Disking to anyone

I also went to the Petersfield shop and bought a cable which failed. They refused to replace, repair or refund. Avoid this place!

If the failed cable is still under warranty please do bring it in, along with your receipt, and we will happily exchange it over for a new one.

It was under warranty 6 months ago when I phoned up. I spoke to a young man who told me tough it was my fault. I was very upset at the time and put the cable away. I've just found it now hence my recent post! I do have the receipt still!!!!!!! We only used it for 2 months before it failed! The end fell off and the computer wouldn't charge.

Good morning, thank you for your reply.

It sounds as if you purchased a Universal laptop power supply, is this correct? If the 'tip' that fits your laptop has broken or been lost, we can supply you with a replacement free of charge.

If you can let me know the model you purchased (on a sticker on the unit) and also the 'tip' that's broken (each tip has a unique letter on it) then I will get you a brand new replacement which will simply clip on the end, and allow you to continue using the charger.

Thank you. You so much more helpful than the young man who just told me it was my fault and therefore legally I had no comeback despite having receipt that was less than 4 months old and the fact I know I hadn't used the computer much! Will phone you and well done for guessing what I purchased! Wish I'd tried again but he was no abupt with me I just thought I should cut my losses! Was cross as it cost £49.99 so wasn't cheap!

I went to disking to buy a new Laptop and I was very glad to have the services of the young man in store. I thought it very rude that the next minute a woman who I later found out was the customer support rep for the company. She came over and just talked away with no regard to what the customer wanted. The young man serving me had no chance to help me after that so I left the store hoping never to meet that woman again. I came back later and brought the laptop I needed. I can only say that the woman I meet almost made me want to go to the other store in town.
