I ordered a wedding dress,it arrived on time but was not made to the measurements I had given.The petticoats were uneven-one varied from 7" to 18",they were poorly attached too.The lace over dress appeared beautiful but was found to be unstitched in many places.A hook & eye were placed so that it was impossible for them to fasten over the zip.The dress was unwearable.

2 emails failed to get a response so I went to a dressmaker and paid £95 for alterations.

When I eventually got a response from DIY dress,they stated the dress was made to my specifications,this would be acceptable if it was true but the shoddy workmanship can not be explained away like that.

Several emails went back and forth,all seemed a standard response which started " the dress was made to your specifications".Eventually I asked them to show me where I had specified uneven,badly made petticoats etc etc.I was then asked to return the dress-it was then 6 days before my wedding and I had already had it altered.After mentioning Trading Standards & sending photos,I then got a response saying they would offer £10 towards alterations and hoped I would buy another dress from them.

I then got 2 other replies from 2 different people.The lack of communication within the company is staggering.The accusatory way they dealt with me was disgusting.Have now received an email saying they will refund £20 but that I must remove my negative review as a condition of getting this £20.At that stage I had not posted a review but am incensed that they think they can dictate to customers who they have ripped off with shoddy goods. DIYdresses provided an apalling service all round.

My dressmaker virtually re made the dress and did an excellent job,so I had a happy ending in spite of DIYdress company.

I ordered 4 bridesmaids dresses and 1 mother of the bride dress from this site. The bridesmaids dresses worked out at £75 each for dresses adjusted for height. You would not get dresses of this quality in the shops - let alone to fit girls size 6 to 18. Also you could not choose from such a range of colours. For the mother of the bride dress I tried on a dress and bolero for £500 but it was too small over the bust. For £150 I had a similar dress custom fitted from this site - but its even better. There is a risk because you need to measure carefully and you can't send them back if you don't like them. But having looked and looked in the shops I felt it was worth taking a chance and I am glad that I did. Do take all the measurements because even though there is only space on site for the basic ones they do come back and ask for the others. Missing star is that some of the chat and email is difficult to follow.

I was really worried after reading lots of negative reviews after I ordered from diydress.

My daughters dress arrived today and it's beautifully made, fits her perfectly and looks absolutely gorgeous on her.

Live chat were really helpful all through the process despite the lady always having the same name.

I ordered the dress for delivery before the 30th may and it's arrived on the 26th. Packaging wasn't the best but the dress is so amazing we didn't care.

Do NOT buy from this website!!!!!!

For those who are reading this, please take what you are about to read seriously and DO NOT under any circumstances buy from this website!

I bought a wedding dress from this website and boy was it a big mistake! I have used one of the photos taken of the dress as my profile picture.

They use pictures taken from the internet and are NOT genuine pictures of the dresses they have made. So what you receive in return is a knock-off of the real thing which is very, very poorly made - I am not exagerating.

They claim it is 'custom made' and even ask you for your measurements. I doubt they even looked at it because the dress is completely ill-fitting in ALL areas. Forgot not wearing a bra under this dress! If I did, I would be flashing the guests!

They are using a UK domain so that you, the buyer, believe that they are based in the UK. NO THEY ARE NOT. They are a knock off shop in Hong Kong. This means that you cannot pursue them in the Courts to get your money back.

They have a refunds and returns policy on their website. This all look legitimate until you try and return the dress. The policies are completely useless and they DO NOT OFFER REFUNDS UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES. I provided many pictures and the detailed description they asked for, and they would not accept it.

When I asked (several times) for a refund, they said that the issues were 'minor' and that nothing was wrong. They offered me £20 to go towards the cost of altering. £20!! I live in London. It was cost twice as much to have it drycleaned!

The dresses on their website do not include a description so you are only judging it from the images - which are stollen from the internet. So you do not know what type of material they are using and the quality of the finish - which I cannot stress enough is EXTREMELY bad.

Also, when you recieve the invoice, it is for a $20 coat!

For those of you do not believe what you have just read, I have many photophraphs of this dress (which I am willing to share and probably will on many other websites to warn any unsuspecting person about this knock-off shop) which will prove that I am not exagerating.

Thankfully, I am having my wedding dress made by someone else who is a trained professional dress maker.

Be warned people, DO NOT BUY FROM THESE PEOPLE!!

My dress arrived absolutely stunning fits perfect and made so well I am overwhelmed and would recommend diy dresses I cannot wait to wear it on my big day. Thank you so so so much.I love everything about it has a great lining so it's not see through length perfect and the trail makes the dress flow stunning. The finishing detail is great with lots of attention to detail layers are perfect I so excited I could go on forever. I was nervous of ordering on line but have no regrets and would most definitely do it again thank you so much again will send pics after wedding.

I ordered my wedding dress and 7 flower girl dresses, first 3 came and were perfect- exact match to image and correct size. Next 4 came however they loosely resemble the first ones, silver and light blue sequins rather than silver and navy, embroidery is black rather than navy, no beading to be found and embroidery is a rushed and simplistic design -different to the first ones.

My wedding dress was perfect and 3 flowergirl dresses were amazing shame other 4 don't match and now have to go buy 7 new ones- after spending almost £450 on the perfect design on this site.

My order has proved it's 50 / 50 chance of getting what you have paid for.

Currently being ignored by their after sales team after being told that they cannot see anything wrong or different between the 2 sets of dresses.

Since looking closer at their website the pics of their sales team have turned out to be photos they clearly found on image search ( found 2 of them to actually be semi-famous people and one comes up on many sites labeled picture of pretty blonde when I have reverse image searched them).

Suppose my fault for not properly looking into company before ordering from them, unfortunately I only started looking into them after I had placed 3 orders and put all hope on fact that I order things from China quite often over Ebay and have never had any problems.

After being apprehensive ordering 5 dresses for my bridesmaids online (without knowing the exact colour I was going to be getting as it's always different in person than seeing the colour on the computer) I must say how impressed I am. I absolutely love my dresses, my sister said she feels good in it and the quality is superb.

I'm also impressed with the customer service team as they responded immediately, and were very patient with me when it took ages for my bridesmaids to get back to me over their sizes. They also got in touch after I sent them the sizes saying that the sizes my bridesmaids gave did not look correct so we adjusted them accordingly.

My sister is also getting married next year and she has said she will order her bridesmaid dresses through DIY dress. I would definitely order from this site again.

I took a chance and ordered my wedding dress from diydress and I wasn't disappointed! Everything was perfect. The guests were amazed at the quality of the dress and shocked when they learned I had ordered it online. However, what stood out most for me about my entire experience with diydress was the amazing customer service I received from everyone I came in to contact with. I was kept up to date, alterations and changes were clearly communicated and queries answered efficiently and politely, they couldn't do enough! I would recommend without a doubt. In fact I'll be ordering more dresses myself!

Wow. Wow...Wow!!!!...My dress came today and it exceeds all expectations!!..it is flawless, exact size. and fits perfectly.

It was a quick and trouble free transaction...

I am having to seek legal advice due to the company not refunding me. Even though I have photographic evidence of a sales advisor online promising me that if my dress was delivered and did not fit then I would receive a full refund.

I have emailed to and from and provided pictures and all the wrong measurements. The dress did not even fit my 8 year old niece it was so small around the arms.The material was not strecthy yet when I had asked if it was before purchase I was assured it was. Basically they told me whatever I wanted to hear to purchase and then have offered me £8 to refund for an £100 dress.

I have evidence and still now if you write to an advisor they will assure you that if the dress come and does not fit they will refund.

It is illegal what they are doing. The material was ripped and cheap.The built in bra which is just two pads sewn in were above my boobs by 2 inches. The dress bones- were non existant. The dress was of a poor standard and of no measurements to any UK size. They delete all bad reviews on there website aswell.

Eventually they just stop responding, so now I have to go to trading standards and write as many reviews as possible to stop people being victim to this. I promise you please do not buy!
