I have recently completed a sales transaction with this company. Despite my initial trepidation, it all seemed too easy, I found the transaction not only efficient, but very friendly. The proprietor was extremely friendly on the phone (despite some comments on the web to the contrary) and didnt try to squeeze me on the price we had agreed over the phone. If you are straight with them they are very straight with you. All in all an excellent and painless transaction !!!

Topcars husband and wife team were both professional and faithful in dealing with the purchase of our VW Golf. We were very satisfied with the price they paid which was 5% above next best offer. The price paid was as per the quote received and there were no additional administration fees.

The transaction was completed within 30 minutes, funds transferred to our bank account on the spot and we were dropped off at a lovely cafe prior to catching our train.

I had recently decided to sell my £20k+ Audi A7 and knew I preferred trade to the likely candidates via most car sales web sites. Since I was not part exing, the chances of finding someone with ready cash who would offer close to my expectations was slim in my view. I placed an ad via Dealerbid and had 3 replies. Of those, Top Cars was the most promising and after a clear description of the car was passed to a man and he made a reasonable offer.

Due to my own busy schedule, it was nearly a month and 2000 more miles before I agreed a date to drive the car up to Brough. Not surprisingly, when I met the man and he gave the car a look over, a slightly reduced offer was confirmed. This was entirely to be expected due to the extra miles. The offer was accepted and his charming wife completed all the paperwork and immediate money transfer, followed by a lift to the station.

Two things:

1.They are busy people and communications therefore are not long winded.

2. I live more than 300 miles from them and he offered to set up a car transporter company to ship my car up on the back of a trailer. I refused because there was no way anyone was driving away my very nice A7, with keys, V5 and paperwork with not one penny paid. I need not have worried. He has been in the business too long to be mucking folks about. I could have saved myself a 5 hour drive, a return train journey and a day out of my schedule. You can rest assured that if your car is as you describe, the process will be well handled and you don't neec to be there.

I use them again without hesitation.

I was in the process of selling my Audi and after a couple of no shows I place advertised on DealerBid. Top Cars initially contacted me with what I thought was an offer which turned out to actually be a figure they would try and get for me. This mistake was possibly my doing and no misdirection was intended.

Nevertheless Top Cars did come back with an offer, albeit slightly less than the first, but a deal was agreed.

I drove the car from Leicester to Hull, where they are based and the handover was seamless. Paperwork was completed by them, monies transferred quickly and efficiently.

One slight hiccup, which was resolved instantly, was regarding the left over car tax (the sale was prior to Oct 1st). there was a discrepancy of £40-something when the rebate came through. One email, instantly resolved and difference transferred right away.

Excellent customer service, which some larger car dealerships should learn from.

i registered my car on a car selling site,after a few days i was contaced by an advisor who asked for details on the car i was selling .within a couple of weeks he again contacted me informing me he had a buyer for my car at the price i was asking ,my partner was a bit sceptical about selling the car to a guy who we had never met i did a bit of research on topcars and decieded to sell to him.I met him at his house he went thru how the payments would be made ,his wife sue then took over she made a payment to audi then one to myself the payment to me was in my account within 2hrs , overall superb service i would definatly recommend

I found Topcars in Hull after listing my vehicle for sale on the dealerbid website. They contacted me to ask a few further questions about the car and made me an offer which was considerably more than I had been offered by similar sites such as webuyanycar.

After agreeing to sell I took the car to their premises in Hull and after a quick look around the car to check my explanation of the condition had been honest payment was made straight into my account.

Everything couldnt have gone any easier and they were kind enough to drop me off at the station. I would definitely recommend Top Cars and will contact them well looking to sell my next car.

We had bought our new car privately so were unable to part exchange the old one and I wanted rid as soon as we had our new one. I searched the internet for buyers and did the normal webuyanycar.com who offered me peanuts for it, I came across top cars who didn't offer me anything, they asked me what I wanted, of which my figure was £9500 which I felt was reasonable, I gave them an honest description and they offered me what I wanted but I had to get to them in Hull from Sheffield. Honestly I was very dubious as I thought once I arrive in Hull the normal car dealer chipping / haggling would start - quite the opposite! He took round the block to make sure it drove as it should, checked the bodywork and paperwork then they paid me and off I came home. Literally as simple as that! If your honest with yourself about your description they will pay you what they offer you on the phone or email! Highly recommended!
