“Sham!!”

written by 294Lucas on 19/10/2023

I bought tickets in September 22. for my family to go and see Luke Combs in London, 02 for October 2023, so 13 months before the concert. I paid in full for my tickets to get an email to days before the concert to say they could not get my tickets and could not give me replacement tickets a refund I’ve been issued and would take up to 8 days so left me no opportunity to get more tickets as the refund wouldn’t come through till after the concert. So disappointed in this service contacted customer service and they were so unhelpful and rude did not care about the disappointment of my family are not going to the concert after getting everything ready and being so excited as my daughter is a very big Luke Combs fan will not be using this website again

SOLD 2 sets of 2 tickets … confirmed everything I was asked … penalised the first sale and refused to accept clear proof. Second sale they are refusing to pay. Have done everything right and they are not budging … this so looks like an organised sham. NEVER USE STUBHUB, THEY ARE UNSCRUPULOUS.

“DO NOT USE STUB HUB”

★☆☆☆☆

written by Maheran1974 on 13/12/2021

I sold tickets for £200. There was a problem between StubHub and the venue in transferring tickets but we all got emails asking for patience and it would be valid. I wasted hours chasing this over 3 weeks. Eventually a couple of days before the show they cancelled all sales. So buyers missed the show and sellers lost a lot of money. Disgusting company, never use them!

“Do not use StubHub to sell your tickets”

★☆☆☆☆

written by Debandbee on 23/10/2017

I have never been as fed up with a company as I have with this company and I do NOT recommend them to anyone. I tried selling and listing my tickets so many times and their staff kept deactivating the tickets without saying why. When I called, they kept telling me to relist them which I did. I called again and again and was finally told to send the tickets in, which I did, at a cost. I was then called while I was out of the country and told that the tickets would be relisted. They were not and therefore, did not sell. These tickets were for the NFL games which were sold out and therefore, if the tickets had been listed as requested, would have sold. So now I am out my tickets AND the money i would have made had they sold plus overnight postage costs. I kept back the last two sets of tickets and have sold them privately which i could have done with the first two sets had they stopped farting around with my tickets. I am disgusted with the practices in place and will not recommend the service to anyone.

Don't use this website. Take money from your account and don't issue tickets. No service to talk to anyone. No one knows anything. I would not recommend anyone to use this business. Waiting for 3 return phone calls.

They have threatened her with extra fees and are e mailing her with threats at 5 Am I can't help it that the guy who is receiving the tickets is out when delivered & wasn't able to sign for them We have sent genuine tickets & the event is 21 days away so there is no urgency I will never use this charlatan agency again !

They advertise that they will add an event so you can sell tickets through them. When you email, they refuse to list the event.

“Shocking.”

★☆☆☆☆

written by Clark178 on 05/07/2016

Ordered Beyoncé tickets a week ago and was sent a confirmation email explaining that the tickets were being sent via UPS and would be tracked. Contacted StubHub on the Friday (concert on the Tuesday) concerned about where my tickets were. I was told there was a delay on postage and they would monitor them carefully and the voice recording on their phone number assured customers that tickets would be out on time. I received a phone call this morning (THE DAY OF THE CONCERT) to tell me that my tickets have been misplaced, they can not reprint a copy, there are no other tickets available and that I would get a refund in 3 to 5 days. I am disgusted that they told me this ON THE DAY I am due to be going to the concert, then to find there are tickets still available on the website to purchase. Shocking.

“THEY RUINED MY CONCERT”

★☆☆☆☆

written by Jaynasi on 28/07/2015

I bought tickets to ACDC live at Wembley. The Confirmation email clearly highlighted that collection point was NOT at Wembley but in Charing Cross. Now, I live in the north so having to go to the centre to come back north again is a pain specially when that same day I arrived from holidays and you can only collect 3 hrs before the gig. I went all the way to Charing cross just to be told "no, you have to go to Wembley", no apology, no one called me from Stubhub in order to give notice of the change. I wasted time and energy which ruined the concert for me. Buy somewhere else, these people are liars and have no respect for you or me.

I bought a ticket from Stubhub to see The Manic Street Preachers at Southampton as a surprise present for my son who is away at university. The ticket was estimated to arrive at his flat on Monday 1-6-15 and as it turned out it was delivered on the Friday 29-5-15 so it arrived in extra time for him to make arrangements to travel to Southampton. The concert was brilliant and he had a fabulous experience with no hassles. The whole process from choosing the concert venue and arranging the ticket to be delivered to my son went smoothly and i was really pleased. They kept me informed of the process and contacted me when the ticket had been dispatched and promptly answered any questions i had. Both my son and I have used other ticket providers before and had lots of problems. I will certainly be using them again and very pleased to recommend them to others. From past experiences with other ticket providers i was expecting the worst, but i was impressed with Stubhub. I emailed their Customer services with questions, they replied within the hour. Made a nice change from ringing a number for hours on end with no answer.

“Ticket never even got sent!!!”

★☆☆☆☆

written by jimmyoople on 22/03/2015

Tickets didn't arrive by Tuesday when they were supposed to, or indeed Friday when the concert was. Ups showed only a label was printed and NEVER sent or intended to be sent. Stubhub didn't help when I contacted them the day before the concert to cancel it because my ticket hadn't even been sent yet and they replied with something about a 'fan protect guarentee' - which basically means I go back onto the Stubhub website, see my concert is now a 'past order' and there's no button or way to file a claim or complain. I wrote an honest review which is what the first couple of lines of this are and they wouldn't publish it. The service is a lottery, you have zero guarentee of getting a ticket you paid for, you might well get your money back but Stubhub don't care when that might be. I had to file a claim with Paypal and still waiting to get my money back. It's not rocket science, this 'service' is weak and they rely on people to send these tickets, whcih they may put up for 'sale' just in case they decide to flake and not attend. So they have a backup sucker to dump the ticket(s) on just in case they need it. Being my first and last experience with Stubhub, i've found the service a joke. When the tickets have not arrived and I ask for my money back you don't list off some 'fan protect' garbage, you give me my money back. Wouldn't trust this service personally at all. You have no guarentee you'll get what you pay for and it certainly ruined my weekend, and week leading up to it stressing over a ticket. AVOID, if at all possible and do not make plans relying on anything bought via Stubhub.

“Used the site twice”

★★★★☆

written by Jamison91 on 21/01/2015

Used this site twice and got my tickets both times. The first time was an NFL match at Wembley when the Cowboys came to town in late 2014. Tickets came in the mail without any drama. The second was a match day pickup at Goodison park on the 26th Dec, where stubhub appear to have a relationship (I picked up from the club collection area). The latter was even below cost.

“Be aware”

★★☆☆☆

written by AristoPoes on 18/12/2014

If You buy ticketsvia them and the concert is postponed, you are stuffed if you can't attend the new date, no refund, and as you are not the original purchasers you can't get the money from the original ticket issuer either. I will never buy again.

In which case all you need to do to get some/all/more money back is to re-list them with Stubhub again. I appreciate that it's not but it should be the case than in situations such as that they you are able to do so without needing to pay any sell fee to them.

All very great but if there is only about 5 days no chance of getting it sold and shipped in time. It's the principle that matters. it's simply ridiculous that you can't get the money back, I am not even talking about the extra I paid to get the tickets, but just the original price. To add insult to the madness, parking is the same thing, you can't get your money back if you pre booked, they won't even change your parking ticket to the new date. I won't order again here, nor with the ticket company and will never pre book the parking again. I've been friendly with my 2 stars as the basic principle of the system is great but for that amount you pay extra they should be able to offer a bit more security.

Yes, it sucks. But sadly if a concert is postponed (rather than cancelled) no ticket agency will offer you a refund.

“Wait for 3 days and never get my ticket. ”

written by dytx on 13/07/2014

They use UPS to send the ticket and it never into my hands. I booked the ticket for Richard III on 25/6. 7/9 they already have alarm in tracking website that the address is incorrect.( But the truth is it's nothing wrong with the address!!!!!!!) They didn't inform me but I provides my clearer address anyway on 11/7. THEY STILL CAN"T FIND THE ADDRESS. Hey I live in London not efing countryside ok? USE GOOGLE MAPS for Pete's sake!!!! And UPS said I need to collect the ticket at their center by myself. I called StubHub to let them send it again on Sat morning, they said it's all sorted. So I kept waiting, STILL GET NOTHING. The play is at the evening that day. THEY ARE REALLY UNPROFESSIONAL. I've called more than 4 times to be clear that they get the address right. And now I have to wait for refund for another few days. I'll never go their website and purchase anything from them. Literary wasting my time. Really unimpressed service.

“Shocking Company”

★☆☆☆☆

written by wolvesweaver00 on 17/06/2014

I sold tickets to Arctic Monkeys gig on 20/05/2014 the tickets got delivered fine and I was expecting the money within 5-8 days. It is now nearly a month and have still not received any money as of today - 17/06/14!!! I have been in contact with them and they issue the same response every time that there has been an error with there system and they will get it sent out again and be in my account in 5 days. This has happened four times, absolutely shocking customer service, would not recommend anyone using these to buy or sell tickets. I sell alot of tickets using Viagogo and getmein and would certainly recommend using these as the money is in 3-5 days after the event has taken place and have had no problems. This is the first time I have used Stub hub, wont be making the same mistake again!! shocking company

“Greedy and useless site for selling tickets”

★☆☆☆☆

written by Wright30 on 04/06/2014

Since Ebay stopped allowing customers to sell tickets Stubhub is supposed to be the site to use as directed by Ebay. It is a useless site for selling,it doesn't work. Their mark up is just sooo greedy and yet they try to disguise this huge mark up from buyers. However, now the buyer has no point of reference no name or person to deal with just a faceless void. Ebay saw how popular ticket sells were and wanted to muscle in on the action. In essence they got greedy. I cannot see how Stubhub has retained the market share Ebay once had,it's lost to all other sites like Stubhub so have thrown away their once loyal users. Ebay have lost a huge market share but Stubhub is nowhere close to being anything like as user friendly for sellers and is far too restrictive on cut off dates. Just a rubbish set up, set up for greed but has led to their downfall in sales.

Stubhub has actually gone from strength to strength since coming to the UK.
Unlike eBay, there are no listing fees for sellers - neither do the sellers have to pay a commission on their payments from Paypal.
The price that buyers see is a final price - no nasty surprises at checkout. They also have the added bonus of a guarantee from Stubhub that they will either receive their tickets or a full refund. This was something they didn't get on eBay.

It's not better for buyers or sellers. There were always horror stories from ebay but the reality with these things is that as long as you have some common sense and were careful ebay was a cheap way to get the same product you're getting through stubhub for a much higher price. Buyers need to be aware that almost a quarter of the sales price of every ticket they buy goes to Stubhub (albeit this does include delivery charges) so I would be fairly confident that the price of an average ticket has risen a good 5 to 10% since they started out over here.

Use this site to sell your under face value tickets and see how much they add. Tried to sell at less than face value with free postage on ebay but seems you have to use stub hub so the ebay company can continue to extract money for free !!

Andiamo's Response to Girls2000's Review

Ebay no longer allow you to sell event tickets - but when they did they charged a listing fee and a final value fee once the tickets were sold. If the buyer paid with Paypal they would also deduct an amount from that.
Stubhub charge nothing for listing and do not deduct anything from your Paypal payment.
So - it's as broad as it's long.
These companies have to charge something somewhere along the line, otherwise they would be out of business pretty sharpish.

Wazb2015's Response to Girls2000's Review

Stubhub are undeniably more expensive to sell with than ebay but because they present the fees they charge both parties (buyer and seller) separately they manage to obscure this. With ebay you were charged a small, non-refundable listing fee (about 30p or so) and then a FVF fee of about 10%. This roughly equates to the 12% that an occasional seller is charged on stubhub. That is the seller of the tickets chooses the price at which they wish to sell and agree to pay 12% of this to stubhub if/when the ticket sells. So far so similar. However if you want the ticket to appear on Stubhub for a specific price (either lower than other tickets of the same type or just at so called 'face value') then you have to take into account the additional 18% buyer fee that Stubhub will add on to your price. So if you want a ticket to appear on their website with a sales price of £99.99 you would need to list it for £84.74 and expect to receive just £74.57! That's a big mark up for what is, as many sellers on ebay demonstrated time after time, an essentially unnecessary middle man. Fear made it possible, as avoidable as any other but potent enough to seemingly justify a change that has led to a big price hike for buyers. And anyone who thinks that professional timewaster MPs plans for greater 'transparency' would benefit the consumer should bear in mind the negative consequences of ill informed scaremongering (and having read some of their debates there are few more ill informed than MPs).

Once again her "reforms" were rejected across the board in Parliament. I find it amazing that her crusade (which was prompted by her daughter not being able to get tickets for Take That) takes up so much Parliamentary time. She represents one of the most underprivileged areas in the country and I am sure her constituents would prefer her to use her time in Parliament to their benefit. I doubt very much if concert tickets are very high up in their list of priorities.
Her "reforms" have now gone back to the House of Lords and will then be returned to the House of Commons once more, where they will be defeated again. What a waste of time!

“Smart business scalpers still win unfortunately”

Loved that I got access to a sold out concert at the arena. However the markup by the seller was over 3 times the value. Not really Stubhub's fault, as they made the tickets available to me, but they should set a maximum price floor and ceiling to keep the marketplace level.

Wazb2015's Response to Angry_Brit's Review

Written on: 16/01/2015

You might want to bear in mind that of the price you pay the actual seller only receives less than 3 quarters. This is because Stubhub charge a 12% sales fee PLUS an 18% buyer fee. Obviously this is all hidden to the actual buyer as you quite rightly see only the price you are asked to pay. As for the price that the seller set well that's just a question of supply and demand, as you say it was sold out, and if you made the decision to pay the asking price for that experience then really what are you complaining about?! Surely as it's something you were happy to pay for (after all we're not talking about anything essential here) you should just be glad that the opportunity to do so exists.

Hi, you should be able to print a PDF for your tickets ahead of time. Just go to My Account and you should find your tickets there.

I don't know when your event is, but Stubhub usually inform you when your tickets are ready, and they can be picked up on the day of the concert (usually from Chiquito's just outside the arena. You will need your email confirmation and a photo ID. I picked up my tickets from their office in Great Portland Street the day before my event. You can phone them - they are very helpful!

It is really very straight forward. You select your seat and authorise the payment. If you select ticket collection. The destination will be displayed, e.g. Lower Bullens Ticket Office. Print off the ticket confirmation with the reference number on and go to the ticket collection office. If you cannot print off the confirmation, you can show your receipt on your phone but you must take some identification with you which matches the address for your stub hub and paypal account if this is your chosen method of payment. Match day is really busy so collect your ticket 20mins before as the ticket offices gets busy and queues can be long especially for the higher category games. Hope this helps?

The event day pick up works like this; Tickets are collected from the event venue on the day of the event, the tickets can usually be collected 3 hours before the start of the event, this will be made clear at the time of purchase.

You just take the booking details plus photo id, passport, driving licence to the ticket office in Bullens road before the game then you are straight in, easy peasy. Hope this helps.
