I bought a Mountain Equipment shell jacket and ordered a size too big, to allow for all the warm clothes underneath. The jacket was delivered within a couple of days. Unfortunately, Mountain View had already worked out the warm clothing point and allowed for it in the sizing. I explained the problem to Rough Gear, sent the wrong jacket back and had the correct size 2 days later. Great service and a great price. I will definitely look on their site next time I need some outdoor gear.

Ive used roughgear.co.uk quite a few times over the years, from mugs to stoves to thermorests to everything else you fit in your rucksacks for adventure,whether it be a night a weekend or multiple days,its always been quality gear and at the lowest prices ive seen.Oh and not to mention the service, second to none, it was at my home the following day.These people are on the ball.But enough of blowing their trumpet for them,I just orderd the deuter futura 32 rucksack,bought it for day hikes in the hills just cant believe how comfortable it is,clever design on how they keep a space between you and the rucksack for plenty of airflow not like so many other rucksacks that rap around you like somthing out of alien.Plenty of pockets inside and out aswell,I do like the lower entry into the main compartment which can be sealed off from the main compartment with a zip,great for warter proofs, at a sqweeze I can get my sleeping bag inside that very compartment.love the pocket on the hip belt fits my gps lovely,plenty of compression straps to keep taut for maximum comfort. 10/10

After getting in touch with RoughGear and investigated all other options. I busted other web sites as well as going to 3 Cotswold Stores. I returned to RoughGear and placed my order yesterday and received it this morning. Immediately on receipt I tried my Haglofs Roc Hard Jacket and have used it straight away on my trip to Central London. It is a great day to have tried the jacket especially as there are very high winds, not that I felt them (thanks to the jacket). It has most certainly exceeded my expectations. RoughGear have provided Superb Jacket, with Great Service at a Great Price! I thoroughly recommend RoughGear and I will most certainly return again.

I ordered a jacket the day before going up to the Lakes (very much last minute!)and was a little concerned I wouldn't receive it in time so I rang Rough Gear and they assured me it would be delivered the next day. I need not have worried, the delivery was made before 9am the next day by UPS. The Rough Gear website was informative detailing how much stock was available, a review of the jacket and size guide all on 1 page and the jacket was purchased at a very good price - I would not hesitate to use them again - a very happy customer!

Had a problem with my rucksack and contacted roughgear. They were very helpful in liasing with the makers of the bag and between them the problem was solved and the bag was replaced. They seem to have great team of staff who know there stuff. Delivery was quick and tje replacement was.quick too. I would not hesitate to use roughgear again and would recommend to any of my friends. I purchased a schoffel ladies ski jacket on line, unfortunately it developed a fault. I contacted Rough Gear, they replied immediately with details of how to return the jacket. I returned the jacket on a Thursday afternoon and by Monday I had received the replacement jacket. The matter was dealt with extremely promptly and the staff kept me updated of when they had received the jacket, and when the new one had been dispatched with a tracking no . They also refunded the costs I had incurred in sending the faulty jacket back to them. Outstanding service, something rarely experienced thse days. After considerable research I knew that the Rab Generator was the jacket I needed for three different tasks, a wind proof and warm light weight mid layer, for use under my motorcycle jacket, which could then be used as an evening casual jacket in the high Pyrenees and also the jacket to wear for mountain walking. Ordered a RAB Women's Boulder Hoodie fleece after searching on the web and finding it £40 cheaper than anywhere else !!!
