After cycling 650 miles from Santander to Santiago de Compostela and back, we spent Sunday night in Santander before catching the ferry back to Portsmouth. Monday morning we discovered that parts from our two bikes had been stolen making them unrideable. Wheeling our bikes to the ferry we managed to get to Portsmouth and then more wheeling bikes to the railway station before ending up at Waterloo where we finally wheeled them into the Evans Shop in The Cut. We explained the situation to the person who arranged, then and there, for a mechanic on site to repair the one bike while he himself worked on the other. The service was second to none and we remain indebted to Evans for their brilliant customer service. Thanks a million!
