“Item sent to wrong address and CycleStore will not refund”

CycleStore sent an item to wrong a wrong address: They claim that "The address that we sent it to is the address that has come through from your PayPal account." My Paypal account has no record of the address that the item was sent to. It only shows my home address. (This is not due to someone hacking my Paypal account.) My conclusion is CycleStore have IT problems in their website and this is combined with extremely poor customer service. After about 10 emails the situation is - I have paid for the item which has been delivered to a house several miles away and they are refusing to refund what I paid. I'm still working on it, but I'm not optimistic I'll get the gloves or a refund. My advice to you is be very aware!

“Ripped Off!!!!”

I ordered a pair of shorts from Cycle Store which never arrived. Efforts to communicate with the cycle store and find out what was up was fruitless. In the end, they have my money and I don't have anything to show for it except for a terrible experience and crushed dreams of having a new pair of cycling shorts. Beware of ordering from the Cycle Store.

I ordered a bike lock from here that was £25 cheaper than it was at Halfords. I spoke to someone on the phone (who sounded intelligible and competent) to check that it would be next day delivery and lo behold 23 hours later I have the lock in my hands. Absolutely fantastic store and if I'm buying cycle goods again I'll look here first.

I ordered a rucksack from the Cyclestore before christmas as a gift. The rucksack arrived in a very timely fashion and in perfect condition which was a great start. Unfortunately the rucksack wasn't quite right so I looked to return the product. Not only do the cyclestore operate a no questions return policy up to 1 YEAR after the purchase but they processed the refund extremely quickly. This is one of the best online companies that I have ever made a purchase through and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them or use them again.

“Cyclestore will take your money, but not deliver.”

Ordered a package 5 weeks ago, it never arrived, cancelled the order. Delivery company never accurately knew where the package was, and admitted that their online tracking was inaccurate. Throughout the weeks, I continually repeated this information to customer service at Cyclestore in the effort to prompt them to conduct due diligence in obtaining accurate delivery information. Was rebuffed with glib summaries from the online tracking page. Completely unprofessional behaviour, clearly no effort was made on Cyclestore's part to assist. Finally gained verbal confirmation from carrier that package was returned to Cyclestore, and relayed this information to Cyclestore. I asked for a refund from Cyclestore, was again rebuffed by customer service. Cyclestore is perfectly happy to keep my money with no hope of delivery of package. BUYER BEWARE, STAY AWAY FROM CYCLESTORE!

“Slooooooooow delivery to continental Europe”

Going on 2 weeks since order was placed, and no sight of parcel. Not possible to accurately track shipment as carrier companies change along the way, without any notification. Spent way too much time on the phone trying to find someone, somewhere who would be able to accurately identify the package's location, to no avail. Will wait one more day, if no delivery, then will cancel order.

“All seems ok”

I ordered this bike when it was listed at over 40% saving. I phoned first and although they said they had no stock, they told me it was no problem ordering. They took my money straight away and I received an email to say it was on order and would be about two weeks. I then read some reviews and began to fear that they would cancel the order given that in the meantime the price had gone back up again. I phoned them to confirm all was still on and they were very helpful and assured me I would get my bike at the price I paid. About three days before the initial date given, I received another email saying it had been ships on a 24hr service. The bike arrived in perfect condition. Obviously being mail order you have to set the bike up yourself but this being a folder that was pretty easy. So overall my experience was good. I had to wait a couple of weeks for it to be ordered but at this price it was well worth it. Their communication throughout the whole process was excellent. So I give them full marks!

“Cheap and fast”

Ordered a bike on sale. Bike came 2 days later, well packaged and gearing was already set up. I had expected quite a bit of tinkering, but all I had to do was put the seat post in and attach the handlebars and front wheel. Fantastic price, great service. Had been a bit worried after seeing some reviews, but I can imagine how it could have been better.

Bought a specizliased bike from them. After doing lots of research and visiting one of the high street bike shop (evans) I was still none the wiser. So..spoke to these guys. I'd narrow to a couple of bikes but had no idea which was going to be best for me. They were helpful and price matched as well. Bike turned up a day earlier than they said. They sent the wrong bike computer, but they did go out of their way to correct it. So very happy. Breath of fresh air etc.

“Great problem resolution!”

Unfortunately received the wrong-sized handlebars. Given the timeframe a straight exchange wasn't workable. Pete from cyclestore.co.uk went far beyond the call and came up with a fantastic solution that resolved the issue quickly, effectively and in a way that saved me even more money! All stores make the odd mistake, the real measure is how they resolve them. Highly recommended!

“Quick and helpful and best price”

I ordered a black Cateye Strada wireless computer. I was a bit apprehensive as the reviews of this company were a bit mixed. However the price (£24.99)was not only unbeatable but by a good margin. Amazon was another £8, and Chain Reaction Cycle Cycles, who I use a lot for my bike gear, were even more expensive. Secondly when the order confirmation came through it was a little unclear whether it was actually the black version (which I wanted) or the Union Jack flag version. I fired of an email and had a reply the next day confirming it was black. The goods arrived very quickly in a couple of days. They were well packed and undamaged in any way. While I haven't tried the goods (as it is a Xmas present) CycleStore are absolutely excellent and I will definitely use them again if they continue with prices and such a slick service.

“Refund not issued”

I purchased some shorts which did not fit so I returned them. Cycle store claimed not to have received the item and did not refund it. They have not replied to my last email either. I will not be buying from them again.

bought Oakley sunglasses, but had to return them, i didint get a full refund as i left a smudge on one of the lenses. can they even do that? terrible customer service, never order from them agaiun

“no contact”

Ordered a bike, 4 days later no email to say they had sent it, rung and they told me it was being sent that day and i would recieve my tracking email. 2 days later no email, rang again. They said i would be rung back in next 15 minutes, no call after an hour, rang them again, was told the bike wasn't in stock and would be on order from supplier. so it has taken 1 week and still no bike, bad customer service. I don't mind if the bike had to be ordered in, but they should of contacted me to let me know.

These guys could teach a lot of the bigger companies about customer service! Having shopped around for a while I found cycle store online and decided to have a go, I live in Australia and it only took the bike 6 days to be delivered. The follow up from Pete was astounding, nothing is too much trouble and they actually want to help!! I would not hesitate to shop here again.

“Accepted order (great advertised price) but then...”

Very disappointed. They advertised a product at a very good price and I ordered, 24 hours later I got an email to say 'had no stock of the product and couldn't source any - is there another product I could substitute', now when I look on the website they are advertise the same product but at a much higher price (now more expensive than Wiggle/chain reactions cycles). Hopefully they will refund eventually (though fortunately I used paypal so should be able to claw back) with an inevitable time delay. I will aim to never order with them again (ahem, I could have memory problems and fail though).

“Cyclestore were not the cheapest for the Waterproof...”

Cyclestore were not the cheapest for the Waterproof jacket I wanted however they did offer a free bottle of Grangers 2 in 1 cleaner/waterproofer which made the price more attractive. The website did not state what size bottle they would send however the picture clearly shows a 300ml bottle and I was sent a 60ml bottle.
Cyclestore sent the free bottle out after they posted the jacket as they had run out of it, however I had to collect it from the post office as Cyclestore had not paid any postage.Despite contacting the sales team with proof of their error I was emailed and basically told if your not happy send the jacket and free bottle back for a refund, no mention of a refund for the postage I had to pay because of their error.
First time I have used Cyclestore UK and can only say I won't be using them again. Wiggle, Evans, Ribble all have better customer service and ive never had a problem all the years I have been using them.

Excellent service. Ordered on a monday.....had tyres and tubes by weds! Cyclestore were also the best price for puncture proof armadillos (and they've been great). Have also ordered lights from them and delivery and price was also as good.

Placed an order on 8 December as a Christmas present and I'm still waiting on 14 January. Whenever I am in contact with Cycle Store they say it is a problem with Royal Mail and make no attempt to follow up. Can't comment on the goods as so far they haven't arrived.I'm giving it a couple more days before asking for a refund.
