I placed an order 1st October. It is 18th and I still haven't received it. I can't get through by phone and they won't reply to emails. I have run out of the items so need to find time to go shopping. Will have to seek legal advice.

Have you received the items or a refund yet? Placed an order yesterday, got an email straight away to say there may be delay due to warehouse issue and now can't get through to any of them by telephone. Very worried.

“Customer services completly useless”

I didn't recibe the delivey, I had to call them 6 times and spend more than 10 pounds on it. To have my money back or a new order I had to send them a letter when they were who didn't send my the order. Summary, I won't have my solution before 10 days after to place the order with more than 10 pounds spent apart of the order, energy and time. The worst customer services ever. I won't order more with this company.

“AVOID AT ALL COSTS, RUBBISH SERVICE”

Order paid for 10 days ago,informed dog food not in stock, just received a dispatch e-mail. Promised to upgrade delivery to next day priority service as a gesture of good will when my order was back in stock. No such luck....still waiting.....do not bother using this company....complete waste of time

“Terrible service”

My dog was diagnosed with renal failure on Monday, my vet advised Royal canin renal food to give him a few more comfortable days so that my son who is in the military could say his goodbye. We ordered from medic animal and paid for the upgraded delivery, I received an order received email, with no mention it wasn't in stock. On Wednesday I phoned to see where it was to be told it wasn't in stock! I explained the situation and asked why I hadn't received an email to inform me of that fact only to be told that wasn't the way their system worked, to say I'm furious would be an understatement, very unapologetic, terrible customer service DO NOT USE. I went straight to viovet where I ordered and the food has been put by for immediate collection to make up for medicanimals huge failure.

“Terrible service, terrible company!”

I used Medic animal for the first time on 18th December to buy a couple of Christmas presents for my puppy. I was assured my order would reach me in time for the big day. No such luck!! By the 3rd January I'd now moved house and my order was still yet to be processed! I contacted their customer service team who turned out to be unhelpful, unwilling and very, very rude! When the order eventually arrived (via asking the new people in my old home to post it up to me), the activity treat ball I ordered was cheap and nasty. It literally fell apart lifting it out of the box, but I honestly can't be bothered to get back in touch with them to argue for a refund. My advice would be - avoid at all costs, this company is awful.

“Worst online retailer i have ever known!!!”

I order most of my goods online and this company is by far the worst i have ever known. They take more than a week to approve an order for non-prescription medication and if you e-mail them you just get an automated response saying they will contact you in 48hrs and then you do not get a reply, If you ring them you are put on hold, i was on hold for 20 minutes and then i hung up. I would avoid this company at all costs, there are far far better animal medication online retailers.

“What a rip off”

It is absolutely disgusting that they have continued to take money from customers, knowing they cannot deliver the products. I returned an item which hasn't been refunded .. they were happy to take my money for the replacement item I needed, but despite numerous emails to them, I have heard nothing.... what a dreadful, immoral company they are

Not sure it was because I left this feedback, but late that same evening I received an email apologising for not fulfilling my order, and that due to a 'take over', they were instructed not to contact anyone for a few days. They have confirmed they will be refunding my money within 7 days...watch this space. They say the website etc is up and running again now so try try and try again you never know!!

“Medicanimal is in administration - do not order”

I wish companies going into administration as of 31 July according to some reports. Why indulge in smooth talking instead of being honest. This is what appears on logging to their website: "Oops! We are extremely popular at the moment, you may not be able to access our site temporarily. We are working as fast as our paws can manage to get this fixed" They should at least have adjusted their wording saying "we are extremely unpopular at the moment as we are unable to communicate with you regarding existing orders"

Following my review above (carnabyrider on 05/08/2015) a follow-up is in order: An email from Medicanimal landed in my inbox yesterday (13/08/15)--presumably an automated message--kindly requesting a review relating to my order of 24/07/15, which of course failed to be delivered. Returning to their website today I am irritated to find that though I get no response on checking the position of my order I am still able to register a new order, go to the till ... and (presumably) pay. Given that the firm is said to be in administration.as of 31st July it Is scandalous that no relevant message is displayed on the website and that orders are still accepted.

“No contact after payment”

Placed an order on 29th July and only received confirmation of payment email!!!!! Been trying to contact them by phone and get cut off! Very angry and disappointed as I have used Medicanimal for months with no problems and always had delivery with 2 days. Now nearly out of specialised dog food so will have to buy it directly from the vet which is more expense. Hope I can get a refund or have they gone bust?

I'm exactly the same. Placed order last week. Payment taken but nothing dispatched. Website down and can't get through on telephone number. Have used the company for months with no problems so hope it's just a technical issue

Exactly the same guys. Still waiting for my order. Had no confirmation email only a receipt from PayPal. Can't get hold of them as websites down. Paid extra for delivery to get it here by Thursday and heard nothing. Had to spend extra money buying more puppy food when I have already paid medicanimal. I just hope they haven't gone bankrupt and done runner with my money. Does anyone know an email or contact for them?

“Order lost by courier, no means of contact”

We ordered ÂŁ50+ of goods from Medicanimal. The order was marked as despatch but the clown working for Hermes who was making the delivery left the box in a standard waste bin by our house, think that was a 'safe place' to leave it. Hermes don't want to know and have referred us to the retailer, Medicanimal. The latter don't answer the phone number provided, don't respond to emails, and the website is down. I'm not sure whether this is a rip-off or just rank incompetence.

“You are having a laugh”

Website down for God knows how long - at least the last 12 hours - and they say its because too many people are trying to access the site at once. Well for a start that's completely bogus - how can it be so busy at 9.00 pm on a Saturday night that its "overloaded with users". Give me a break. And that's been the case all day long (and for who knows how long before I started trying first thing this morning). Basically their websites crashed and there's nobody around to fix it. Fine, lets all go somewhere else and get our pet supplies from a reliable supplier. Read glassdoor.com and see what employees have to say about working at Medicanimal - you'll see for yourself why the place is falling apart. As usual its the corporate suits who have no clue about customer service and only see the world through the cells of their little spreadsheet full of targets, KPI's and margins. Its pretty comical how some good businesses lose touch when they think they have reached critical mass. Forget the numbers for a minute and start looking at the customers that ultimately pay your executive bonuses.

I'm the same, ordered food for my puppy on Wed. Said the delivery would be here in 1-2 days. I paid extra for this too. Haven't seen my item at all, nothing to say what's happening. Infact all I have had is a receipt from PayPal to say the money has gone through. I have no way of contacting them as the website is down. Very dodgy if you ask me. I've also had to go out and spend more money on puppy food. Not happy at all

Me too. This is the first time I have attempted to use this company, tempted by a 15% voucher discount I even went to my vet and bought a private prescription to use at Medicanimal. Have been trying to get the prescription dispensed and order a few other things. No chance, just keep getting an Oops! message that too many people accessing the site. This message has been coming up since Friday and still no fix yet and no indication as to when it will be repaired.
Will be trying this number today and if no satisfactory response/reply I will assume this company is dodgy and find another supplier.

“Appalling dispatch delays and customer service”

For some reason the customer service has gone steeply downhill over the last year or so. Dispatch is incredibly slow (well over a week on every occasion for the last several orders - the website states the majority of orders are dispatched within 48 hours which I find wholly unbelievable) yet they refuse to agree to inform you if there's a problem with a particular stock so you can either order earlier in future or make other arrangements - when your animal is on a prescription diet you can't just pop to the shop for a tin of Whiskas if your delivery (placed often over a week before required) hasn't even been dispatched yet. Emails are not responded to in a timely way and aren't helpful even when you do eventually get a response. The chat option is a bit of a joke, particularly when staff just choose to randomly end the chat!

“Poor customer service. delivery lost, phones not...”

I ordered the incorrect flea treatment for my cat (advantage when I should have ordered Frontline). - totally my fault. Emailed them to explain and eventually had reply saying my order had been despatched. I knew this wasn't true as it was a Saturday evening and they were closed. Phoned on Monday to be told order had not been despatched but they couldn't change it as it had been packed. 5 lengthy phone calls later, the incorrect item had not arrived so couldn't return it. Was eventually told to phone the next day (Saturday) and they would mark it as 'lost' then send correct item. I spent over two hours on the phone altogether on Saturday just to listen to tinny music - no one answers and there was no indication whether I was number 1 in the queue or 100. Still not sorted, no response to email. In my opinion you get what you pay for. Yes they are cheap but the service is slow to non-existent and customer service leaves a lot be desired. I wouldn't recommend them to anyone. If you want good service and quick delivery, shop elsewhere.

Had an issue with items I had ordered. They took over 3 weeks to dispatch. Kept receiving emails asking to confirm my animals weights. There is no contact number for tho company. They don't respond to emails,just a generic standard response. Stay away from tho Company. They are a disgrace

ordered flea treatment with them, on day 8 it still hadn't been dispatched. when phoned to cancel order I kept getting hung up on! finally got to speak to someone they said i needed to send in a prescription which i was not informed of when ordering and you can buy the same product from pet shops without prescription. person i spoke to was rude. waiting for my refund. wish id read the reviews on this company before i ordered with them as the seem to not deliver any of their orders!
