“Complaint procedure is just a joke ”

★☆☆☆☆

written by Bluelancia on 28/07/2023

I had to escalate my complaint about rude staff at Bedworth CAB, the person that l was complaining about was the person that did the report, it contained nothing of her bad behaviour, The CEO of the Bedworth & Nuneaton branches got in contact with my giving it how wrong it was that a person involved in a complaint should not be the person that involved in its process and that would be a ruling from now on, instead of going over my case, he sends me a copy of the first outcome that was written by the girl that l was complaining about and then tells me the case is closed. There compains department is full of Jokers, it will never be taken seriously.

“Shocking atmosphere ”

Absolutely shocking left us to stand outside for ages when there are seats in the building for customers to feel welcomed. They said they are not opened yet therefore we should line up in the street

“DO NOT GO ”

★☆☆☆☆

written by esh2346 on 29/04/2019

Do not suggest this place, extremely rude staff. Say they have phoned you, when they have not. Cannot get away with this anymore as smart phone records who has phoned. Have spoke to several people about this and none had good things to say about Citizen Advice Bureau Perth, even had or knew someone who had been treated badly. They do not even deserve one (1) star.

“Patronising advisors given inaccurate advice ”

★★☆☆☆

written by Michymoo2016 on 08/04/2016

Went to my local CAB with financial difficulties and was told I need a better job, and to get a lodger etc I came out feeling worse than when I went in. Went to my second appointment and saw the so called debt advisor who was rude patronisingly and made me feel uncomfortable. I was then told that they would email me a new appointment which took over two weeks, when I emailed back stating I had took advice elsewhere, I received a rude reply from them as if I'd wasted their time but in fact they wasted mine with their patronising manner and incorrect advice. I left there doubting certain advice and rang another debt advice charity and found out I had been given incorrect information at the CAB regarding a DRO. I have since been dealing with Stepchange who have been amazingly helpful and caring and my DRO has just been approved, so no I would not recommend the Citizens Advice Bureau infact I will NEVER go there again.

“Great Advice Centre”

★★★★★

written by Wendymagic on 07/12/2012

The Citizens Advice Bureau in Birmingham is quite simple outstanding. I had a recent issue with my neighbour over noise disturbance and was not able to resolve the problem. I also did not want to pay a huge amount of money to a solicitor so thought I would go the the local CAB office for some free advice. Firstly the building was immaculate and very well maintained, this surprised me as I was expecting a packed and dirty office. The staff were literally falling over themselves to help me from start to finish. I explained my problem in great detail to the advisor who calmly offered me legal advice regarding local council legislation as well as how to word some of the correspondence to the local authority. WOW - This offered me a variety of additional options that I had no idea I could use, and I left there feeling able to resolve the problem. I followed there advice and within 4 weeks, a local council officer visited me and issued the relevent paperwork to my noisy neighbour. A fantastic solution, of which I really didnt think I could ever resolve. Well done CAB on providing a Free and Very effective solution to my problem.

“Other alternatives out there”

★★★☆☆

written by themoneycop on 23/10/2012

I still cannot believe people falling for debt management companies still. I went with several debt management companies in 2010 & 2011 and nearly over £800 were fees until I booked an appointment with my local CAB firstly to set up a FREE debt management plan (no fee's charged) and I could start paying back money without worrying that the first 2 payments would be kept back like most debt management companies do. Always check how much companies charge you, as I have said already the Citizens Advice Bureau do none of that nonsense and also give free advice based on your circumstances, sometimes better than a D.M.P - just be aware that there are alternatives :)

Why have you only given one star for value for money? The service you received from them was free! Surely that's five stars.

The people you see at the CAB are mostly volunteers, someone has given up their time to help you solve your problems for free. Unlike Debt Management Companies, the CAB would also advise you of your full options regarding debts - options such as bankruptcy or debt relief orders. There is no way of making money for Debt management companies in doing that so they are unlikely to suggest it. You get impartial advice at the CAB. I know, I've been through it all.

Surely it's fair to award more stars?

how ridiculous is not protected in any way. It seems that this is a robbery!
Here is the place to share:
-this is a dating site that is served by the fictitious profiles that you offer webcam striptease.
-trying to erase the profile is impossible before obadizh a paid line.
-After three days, if not erase the profile taken from your account 40
without notice.
Beware people!
I hope someone reads this and take action!I hope someone reads this and take action!
This is not fair and in combing the internet marketing making money from the account without consent, lack of written confirmation of the deletion of data from the site, no invoice plus workaround excuse rights and obligations as intended without notice robbing.

I actually gave it 5 stars for citizens advice, but 1 star for a debt management company - seems as if there has been a blunder on the website!! This review and comment was written for a debt management company on here!! I would give 5 stars to the CAB! xx

“useless website, when you try to find out how to get...”

★☆☆☆☆

written by barrett on 05/05/2011

useless website, when you try to find out how to get advice by email, in the end it redirects to www.adviceguide.org.uk, so it's really a silly game that makes you go back and forth and is worth no one's time ! they are impossible to contact and the poor information they have on their silly website can be found on better websites
