“Poor quality bar stools”

We bought the bar stools and after 2 months one of the stools started to show signs of being very wobbly. After a couple more weeks the welds on the underside of the bottom section broke and came away. We went back to the Range and they wouldn’t refund or replace because the warranty only lasted a couple of months. We complained and they basically told us to go away and we’d need an independent assessor to prove the stool was faulty. They know you won’t bother for a stool only worth £90 so you give up. Shocking customer service with amazingly awful approach to customer service. Most of the products are cheaply made to a budget from China or India and they’re not interested in customer satisfaction clearly from their overall rating of 2 stars. I would have given zero stars if possible. Keep away unless you want Iceland food or something that doesn’t need to last

“Creased Velvet Curtains - Customer Service non existent”

Advised customer service immediately of the issue whereby the curtains were full of creases upon unpacking - I had ironed per instructions, steamed and used crease release all to no avail. They finally responded after two weeks to say they'd contacted their suppliers who advised I do exactly what I had already done!! They have offered absolutely nothing and were completely dismissive - absolutely terrible customer service from such a large company I literally cannot believe it. Now waiting for them to confirm I can return for refund as "not fit for purpose"- wish I'd read all these reviews first!! Still in shock from the unbelievable "customer service" supposedly from the CEO office!!!!

Bought solar lights at 18.99 Never worked Complained to customer service…. As much use as a chocolate fireguard. Sent the lights to head office via expensive courier… receipt enclosed Got a reply saying take feedback seriously and thanks but we hope you continue to shop with us What?!!! Posted a review and they say they will look into Have not Save your money and shop elsewhere

“Item in wrong color, and damaged, not refund money ”

Ordered a mirror online , order number-W17799227, the order arrived on 09/01/2024 in wrong color, and also damaged , called the range customer service on 10/01/2024 arranged for return collection on 11/01/2024 then will get the refund, the first confirmation email received saying I only going to be refunded for the item and the shipping fee will not , called straight away after have seen this email, been told that I will get full refund. Collection was on 11/01/2024, DHL took the mirror away,after waited for 1 week I check my payment account ,only seen the shipment charge of 9.99 been refunded, so emailed them again, told me the refund of the 69.99 for the mirror has been processed and will hit to my account in 2-3 working days , so I waited for another week, still not been paid back , emailed again been told the same, 2-3 working days.ok I waited again till 29/01/2024(yesterday), so sent another email asking for why, this morning (30/01/2024) received reply telling me I need to return the item first then they will issue the refund, god , I found the the collection email and check the tracking details , the items has already been delivered to their depot on 12/01/2024 which is the second day they DHL has been collected it, so i replied with screenshot of the tracking details(on 9am this morning) until now … no response. I love to shopping in the range store , this is the first time placed order online , never gonna go the range again not even the store.

“Wrong measurement on website”

Ordered lampshades on line with next day deliver but was sent the smaller size. Phone call requested email containing photographs and resulted in delivery of more smaller lampshades. Another phone call asking if they could send larger size but was told I would have to reorder online. Can only assume it’s a fault on Range website as on 3rd attempt I clicked larger size and the size I wanted arrived. I paid for next day delivery. I returned the two deliveries of wrongly sized lampshades to the store and got refund of original order including delivery charge. Then sent email requesting refund of next day delivery fee of my last order as due to a problem on their website I did not get correct size until 3 days later. Numerous emails always answered promptly but by different people who had not read email trail has resulted in being told there is nothing they can do and the complaint will be closed.

“Do not order ”

I ordered a bed on the 8th January it’s now the 25th January the range have no idea where the bed is and neither do the deleivery company arrowxl I now have to wait another 4 days for them to ring there warehouse to see if it has been dispatched from there I received a email on the 15 saying it had been dispatched and arrowxl said they was suppose to receive it by 17 but no one has any idea where it is, do not order from this company to if you have a problem there is to much back and forth with no answers just wait wait wait!

“Non delivery of order from the 30th December 2023 ”

Further to my last post on my undelivered order of the 30th December. I did receive an email advising of my Yodel tracking number and my expectations were set by UK Customer Services that my order would be delivered. Upon using the Yodel tracking service it stated and still does state of (16/01/2024) the order is sitting with the sender. The customer service the Range provides appears to be a call center possibly somewhere in India, whose staff are barely fluent in English who appear to read off a crib sheet. When I asked to speak to a Manager to assist with my issue, they advised the Managers are non customer facing and do not speak to UK customers. I then asked if I could have a contact number of the UK customer services in which I was told they could not provide. This is possibly the worst customer service I have ever experienced. I have been given the runaround for the last week, been promised call backs and email confirmation to no avail. This service is beyond shocking and furthermore to confirm the retailer has not contacted me with an update and neither has the Range. I would like a refund, and a call from someone in the UK Customer Services to explain to me what has gone so wrong here. I will continue to post updates on Trust Pilot until this debacle has been resolved. With regards

Be careful buying from Range's online Marketplace! Wrong item delivered to me before Christmas and other than an acknowledgement of my complaint email no further contact re a return label, refund or delivery of what I ordered. My chaser emails seem to be ignored.

“No Refund Policy. No customer service ”

Avoid this company like the plague. It's refund policy is non existent. They will avoid refunds at all costs, and the store managers will just say it is against company policy. I tried to return a £70 mattress topper to store, but because it wouldn't easily fit back in the flimsy packaging, they refused to refund unless we repacked it ourselves. I managed to pack the item back in the packaging, but the packaging was so flimsy and unfit for purpose, that of course it split the bag slightly. They then refused to refund because the packaging was damaged. Before paying for this item I even checked with the cashier to be sure that they would give me a refund if it was unsuitable, because I could see it would be very difficult to repack the item. They still refused to refund, even though I was told I could bring the item back. Shopping at the Range has been a very unpleasant experience, and although I have been a regular customer I will never give them my custom again. I will look into taking them to the small claims court.

“DONT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY”

Ordered a chest of drawers for our daughters and received the item damaged and submitted a returns request straight away that was on October 17th 2023 and it is now December 5th and we still haven't heard anything back after phoning numerous times with big call charges applied and sent 46 Emails, we never complain but we have been treated shockingly throughout our whole experience, these people work from home and do not want to pick up your complaint, I am now in the process of a legal team dealing with this concern

“Recalled item, partial refund ”

We bought a light up mirror for our daughter,only for it to be recalled due to “dangerous wiring,chance of electrocution “ there words,we return to store as per website only to be given a partial refund,22% less than we paid,as they went off what there last discounted price was,terrible set/staff/management/customer service,they won’t have a penny of our money again.

“The circus workshop”

Good Evening, I would like to log a formal complaint in regards to the ongoing issue with the above item number. The bed was delivered in 2 deliveries ,the first 2 boxes came 06/11 and then another one was delivered 4 days later . 1 box was still missing. I have chased this since the 6th and was told on many occasions it will be resolved.  I have paid yourself - Range the money for the product and not a 3rd party. I am not interested in where the fault lies but in getting a full refund and compensation for the time of work, stress and lack of customer service provided. As promised and advised the bed was not picked up today and once again you have failed to keep your word. There was someone waiting at the property all morning and no one turned up!  I am utterly shocked at the level of incompetence and customer service I have received since I placed the order. I will be looking at speaking to the retailADR ombudsman in regards to this issue.  I am within my rights to log a formal complaint. I have asked for the complaints procedure on multiple occasions and still not be advised of an email address or contact. Please look into this matter ASAP and respond accordingly.

“worse company to order from ”

Range as a storefront is way better than their online service. I purchased a sofa from them on the 14th Oct, scheduled for delivery 7th Nov; which for me was long. nevertheless, we waited patiently. By Monday 6th I realized no communication was sent regarding delivery, and neither could I track via their website. Without making this rather long to read, today is exactly 1 MONTH 14th Nov and yet no delivery. Failed/false promises to chase up the supplier of the product, no written communication, nor any call from them to keep me informed. rather I'm the one having to call them every day chasing up an item I paid FULL price for. Don't be in our situation; where we don't have any furniture and as you can imagine the Christmas period is also approaching. i will continue to inform EVERYONE possible of the disgusting and inhumane service from this company.

“DON'T ORDER HERE!”

Don't shop at The Range!! Two weeks and still ongoing to get a bed returned and redelivered because they sent a bed that was broken in the boxes. The customer service staff are rude, when explaining my issue, one woman just put me on hold. Then to recieve emails saying they'd done the opposite to what I'd asked That I'd need to return the item myself before 7th Dec for a refund. Each of the three boxes weighs more than I do. Shambolic service, no customer service and exceptionally rude staff. And no complaints procedure to escalate the awful service. Avoid like the plague!

“Missing and incorrect items, rubbish customer service.”

Purchased online to avoid chaotic and misleading pricing at scruffy local store. Order received with one item missing and one the wrong colour. Got through to customer services and spoke to one helpful lady but still options were to collect missing/incorrect things from local store - this I declined as per the effort and cost of shipping online. Told it could be up to 4 days for a response but this would be expedited if possible. Heard from them promptly (luckily) and gave some feedback about the disappointment of receiving problematic orders, making even the nice or fun things in life a bit crummy due to inept handling from packers and pickers. Order was received when promised but the item that was the wrong colour, was once again wrong. Emailed on the thread I had been using to let them know, took 4 days to receive a reply, which was basically ‘return it to store or by post at your own cost and go away’. I commented on the poor service, after already poor service and gave more feedback from a customer perspective but just received several self serving emails showing total disinterest in this and refusing to escalate to the next level. Very disappointed. Clearly they are not interested in their customers or their orders - we mean nothing. Avoid unless you like frustration and upset.

“Disgusted with The Range - will never buy from them again”

Disgusted with The Range. Requested how to return item from Partner of The Range on 30th August. Requested details again 31st August - Partner offered 10% to keep the goods. Said no thanks, just give me return details. Called The Range customer line 1st September - was assured a return form would be emailed to me immediately by them. Nothing received. Emailed again asking for return form - Partner offered 20% discount to keep the goods. Refused the offer again. Asked again for return details. 4th September received email offering 30% discount to keep the goods. Refused the offer - asked again for return details and DPD label. Called The Range Customer Care line,  said it would be sorted, the next email from the Partner would have the DPD label in it. 5th September - NOTHING RECEIVED. Support is ineffective, no resolution, something to complain to Trading Standards about.

“Avoid like the plagie”

Worst company to buy from, please if you want to avoid months and months of stress and having to deal with incompetent people then please do not buy anything from this company. After receiving a poor quality bed from The range, it took me 3 months to get them to take it back and 1 month after returning the bed, i still haven't received my refund. Contacting customer services is useless. This is a Rogue trader they have no professionalism or any regard for their customers, once they have received your payment. The range plus suppliers are some dodgy factories manufacturing defected quality products. Please avoid at all costs

“BEWARE”

Beware ordering online!!!. The Range use outside suppliers and if the goods arrive damaged as in my case after 1 month sending emails and numerous telephone conversations with "Customer Service" re: "lack of service" I still have the damaged item and no further getting a refund. I have now given up and will NEVER order online from The Range again

I went to return a faulty item the staff immediately at returns went on the defensive saying I had tampered with the product, I have been a loyal customer spending thousands in Peterborough range over the years and am treated offensively , never returning one item until now and then they treated me like this for 14.99 , disgusting behaviour by customer services. Companies of this magnitude immediately start with using the customer for blame before properly taking the time to understand the problem from the outset. What is being said at customer services is company policy and at minimum wage you can't blame the initial staff but its still personally offensive to the poor customer.
