Terrible service, and extremely rude customer service rep. I ordered at 7pm on day one (Monday) for a item that was stated for 24hrs next day delivery. On day 3 (The expected delivery day) no delivery. On day 3 I sent a message via the website contact form chasing - No reply. On day 4 I sent a email to the orders email address - No reply. On day 5 I called to chase the delivery, when I eventually got through an extremely rude employee answered the phone. I was told that the item is in transit with no ability to tell when the the item was loaded or when the item will be delivered. I was told that because of the Easter bank holiday ALL deliveries from all shops will be delayed, as this is second only to Christmas. The employee then said that any company promising next day delivery are "speaking out of their ****". I said other companies have delivered next day, which I was told "No possible" I was then told that yes the website says next day 24hr delivery BUT the order confirmation email confirmation then tells you that is not the case (After paying....?) I was told that the order would be delivered sometime next week but definitely not Monday. So at best delivered on 8... I was then trying to talk and the employee constantly spoke over me, saying that there is nothing he can do could just refund me. I said yes let's refund then as this is unacceptable service and he put the phone down on me. A shocking and rude service and false information on the website (Until after you have paid) I would never shop with this company again, no matter how much cheaper an item is.

Placed an order for a mower and after a few days got an email saying it would be delivered on a specific day. Took the day off work and nothing arrived. Called them the following day and told them I wanted to cancel. Their manager, A ngela told me that I was 'cutting my nose off to spite my face' and that 'we've got your money'...'there are horrible things things that happen'. I was gob-smacked at this threat but cancelled the order in writing anyway. The following day the item was delivered and I felt I had to accept the item for fear of never getting my money back from them. Aggressive, indifferent, rude and threatening to their customers- deal with this company at your peril.

I'm one that doesn't often write reviews but sometimes I must when the services is as excellent as Cheapmowers. I explained my requirements and budget. The staff then looked at these and came back with the product I needed. This being the XL500. I ordered on the Tuesday and received by the Wednesday. The machine even came with free Oil! The staff also reminded me to place it in the machine before first use.

An excellent Mower from a good supplier. Easy to use website and item arrived within 24 hours of placing order using paypal. Item as described and well packaged and will use again.

we purchased a lawn king self propelled petrol mower from here in march. our old briggs and stratton mower lasted 11 years, and started first pull every time, until the day the engine died. so we decided another briggs and stratton was the way to go. new mower arrived, day one it took forever to start. once going, it cuts great, but when you stop it to empty basket, it just wont start again for anywhere between 5 -20mins. sometimes, about 5% of the time, it would start first time. the cable clips pinged off on day one. the plastic inserts in the wheels wobble around. it will just stop randomly when in use, and then take forever to start again. you are only supposed to use the petrol mower on completely flat ground apparantly, even a slight incline, and you are not supposed to use it, ridiculous. we have never heard anything like it. we contacted the company and were given the name of a company to take it to, to be repaired. tried to call this company at least 20 times, no answer. drove the 30 mile round trip to drop it in, and they only open on certain days of the week, that day not being one of them, and were open the days we couldn't get there. after about 3-4wks of trying to contact them we called cheap mowers again. they said we had been given the wrong number and gave us the correct one. we called this company, only to be told that they don't do warranties for cheap mowers. cheap mowers gave us another company to contact, but when we called them they said they don't do warranty work for this company. cheap mowers then wanted us to go another 40 mile round trip to another company, but we were not prepared to at this time. they agreed for us to send it back, but it had to be in the box it came in. we had not kept the box as we really didn't think we would need it, so after a trip to the recycling centre to get cardboard, another 16 mile round trip, we sent it back. two weeks later we had not heard anything. when I phoned cheap mowers at 10am in the morning, they didn't even know if it was back in warehouse, and said they would get back to us, but they didn't. after several phone calls that day, they said it was in warehouse and somebody would look at the condition of the mower and then they would call us back. a man then called us, apparently the mower only arrived back last week, which I do not believe. UPS picked it up 8 days before this, so it had just been left sitting in the warehouse with nobody even opening it or looking at it. this man was the importer of the mower, and he told us that he had the mower running for 40 mins+, and it was running fine. when I told him that the running of the mower wasn't the problem, and that he needed to cut the grass and stop it a few times, he said that cutting the grass wouldn't make a difference. he said that trading standards were visiting next week and he would keep it for them to look at. he obviously didn't believe us about the problems with this mower. this is high summer and we haven't cut the grass for nearly 3wks already. I called cheap mowers and told them I wanted a refund as the mower was not fit for purpose, and that I needed to be able to cut my large lawns. I was put through to the manager, and was told that if this person had checked the mower over and said it was fine then it was. he would not give me a refund, was dismissive of our complaint, kept saying we had to wait for the importer to confirm the issues, which he had already dismissed to me. he would not discuss the fact that they had sent us to 3 different companies who don't deal with warranties for them, and yes I did get very annoyed at his attitude, and he put the phone down on me. I called the company back, fuming, only to be told that the operators couldn't speak to me about the matter, and that the manager would call me shortly. he did not call me back that day by 6pm. the operators would not answer my questions of why they were sending us to dealers that don't conduct warranties on there behalf. so, we have no mower, no refund, are out of pocket by £190.00, operators that wont speak to us, and will probably end up getting this mower back, even though it doesn't work properly, or is fit for purpose. to present no outcome of situation.I sooo wish we had gone to our local DIY store and paid an extra £20-£30 more, as I know they would of replaced the mower with no hassle, and I would be able to cut my large area of grass in high summer. DO NOT BUY FROM HERE. SAVE YOURSELF THE HASSLE AND GO LOCAL. DREADFUL COMPANY. DREADFUL CUSTOMER SERVICE AND ATTITUDE.
