This company advertise products that when you pay for them they can not deliver and they then refuse to provide a refund. The same items are then still advertised for sale on their App and website with a 2 day delivery period. Their customer service is pointless and they just make it up as they go along and give different excuses. Please avoid at all costs and buy elsewhere they are not to be trusted to deliver products as paid for

Ordered 7 Jan with delivery on 9th Jan. No delivery. On 10th Jan received an email stating sorry it's delayed until the 16th, no delivery. On 17th Jan received email saying sorry it's delayed until 31st Jan. On 30th Jan chatted online and was told sending item out that night. No delivery finally on 3rd Feb told sorry it's delayed until 4th March. At this point we cancelled.

“They don’t even deserve 1 star”

I placed an order specifically because the delivery time was good. It didn’t arrive. I wasn’t kept up to date with delays. I cancelled the order eventually. Today I received an email from them (over a week after I cancelled the order) saying that they cannot cancel my order as the item is either being custom made (it’s a plastic storage container by the way) or some other pathetic excuse. They lie. If you leave a review as I did on another well known review site they answer the review and lie saying “from looking at your account we can now see that this issue has been resolved”. It’s an out and out lie. These people should not be allowed to trade. Their reviews are all awful. I’m angry with myself for ordering without checking reviews first.

“Buyers beware”

Buyers beware this company is unethical and rips you off, I did not recived my delivery twice and waited in the email said they had attempted delivery but never had. I tried to cancel and they kept saying they couldn't because it was at the delivery depot and then they wanted to charge me £20 to return something I had never recieved. Aboslutly disgusting stick to Amazon this company can not be trusted.

If I could score a 0, I would have. I attempted to carryout a purchase and the transaction was cancelled and my account banned/blocked. All attempts to find out why was met with a brick wall: i was banned for deceit reasons. What reasons? Incredibly stunned, left offended and find this discriminatory but oh well! the terms and conditions mean they dont have to explain. Naturally, I have taken my business elsewhere and will forever speak negatively about the company

What is going on with Wayfair and clearpay? Clearpay take your money and then your order does not go through with Wayfair??????? This is the third time its happened and thats it for me. Never a problem with Dunelm B&Q or any where else i have used clear pay. You then ring wayfair only to be told take it up with clearpay and a load of longwinded excuses and explanations that staff have been indoctrinated to say to customers in a sort of condescending way. They never take accountability. Its obviously there systems problem. So sick of it. Having to phone a hundred times before eventually getting refunded ????

“refund issue”

Made an order, wardrobe, order was delivered fast enough but one of unit's package was ripped off and screws were laying everywhere in the back of delivery lorry and goods looked like it was returned a few times already, simply loaded by spades. Then I rejected even to unload items from a lorry. So what I have, I have refund excluding transport and return transportation fee. Nice I paid for delivery to me and from me damaged items. Made a claim but only stony silence from them. Unhappy, crying and trying to forget.

“Misleading product advert”

The product delivered was not the one on their website. Customer Service said it was the same product, just a different name! I could have ordered the different named product from a number of other retailers at £20 less. This is misleading and returning an incorrectly advertised product should not incur a returns delivery charge. Unlikely to order from Wayfair again. (Incorrectly advertised) product arrived on time and was well packaged

“Order didn't go through but took money”

I ordered bedding and opted for clearpay. Got to payment then would't go to delivery page. First payment pending and no order complete. Customer service useless. I will never order from these again. Customer service said they are aware of problem but still letting it happen! Absolutely disgusting.

“Awful customer services and Returns process”

If you have ordered an item you have no option to cancel the order, even if it has not yet despatched. The only option is to receive and then Return. Returns is a nightmare but made so much worse with Wayfair. They will give you an option to arrange for Evri to collect from your house and true to form, no one turns up. You call to complain and they then arrange Panther to collect. They collect and then it goes to no where. 3 weeks in, countless emails and online chats and still no refund. I repeatedly have to send proof of my collection, of which I only have a screenshot of Panther's tracking information. You have to Google to find their support number as they (most probably intentionally) make it extremely difficult to find it on their own website. When you call them, they give you the same scripted answers in that it has been escalated and so please wait for the reponse. They give you no confidence in getting an actual response. This is awful customer services and made worse by a broken Returns process and lack of clarity.

“A truly despicable company with no regard for customers”

I had an absolutely shockingly dreadful experience and was treated deplorably by wayfair. I will never buy from them again as a result. I placed a large order (almost £1,000) and they failed to deliver what I had ordered. I kept checking online and on multiple times I saw items were due to arrive, so waited in. The delivery dates always differed between wayfair's website, the auto emails and the courier. Once I had to cancel plans after receiving an email from an actual wayfair employee saying my very delayed picture was arriving that day (they lost the first, and then sent an incorrect product) - obviously it did not arrive. Some parts of my order never arrived. Some did - on different days than stated - but these were mostly badly damaged, dirty, of such poor quality, or so badly made they were dangerous. Over half of the products that I received had to be thrown away. Shockingly the damage was done before packaging - meaning damaged products were packaged and sent out. I contacted wayfair on multiple occasions by different means. They did not care. They made up excuses, and did not do what they said they would. I chased for months and months as wayfair refused to contact me. They cannot (or will not) track their own deliveries. They have no control over quality or what is delivered. They did not meet their own delivery contract as stated on their website. For an online company this is simply inexcusable. All they seem concerned about is getting customers' money - they had our money for months before we received products or a refund - they did not care and had no reason to act. There was no follow up into products that should have been delivered - no-one ever contacted me - and no investigation was made into their failings. My online account still says I am waiting for products to be delivered - why has there been no follow up on this? They have no published complaints policy. When I asked staff how to raise a complaint they refused to say - absolutely inexcusable. I made 6 serious complaints to different departments - all were ignored. They refused to address my complaint; they would rather leave me unhappy and angry. I had to email the CEO before receiving a very brief reply from someone very low ranking. He was incredibly dismissive, mocked me, called me a liar, and refused to give compensation for the months of problems I had experienced, saying the refund I had received for damaged and undelivered products was my compensation. He took £5 from my wayfair account that was there after I had written a product review, and said I could not complain anywhere else as they are not covered by an ombudsman. I reviewed every product that I ordered, but most of them are not on their website as they will not allow negative and accurate reviews. Such absolutely shocking and atrocious treatment. They should not be allowed to trade.

Waiting over a month for a candlestick!!!!! Automated responses on live chat, same words over and over again. None of the staff can make decisions. They won't allow you to cancel your purchase and refund you. They won't allow it and keep telling you to wait and once you receive it, could take months, you then return it and then a refund will be given. Their delivery dates on their website are incorrect, which I tested out, they overpromise and under deliver. The worst company I have ever dealt with. Their staff are nothing short of useless, their delivery is outrageously poor and their customer service is dire! STAY AWAY AND NEVER BUY FROM WAYFAIR you will be so disappointed and let down and wished you went somewhere else. AWFUL, TRULY AWFUL COMPANY.

“Wayfair is not allowing cancellation ”

I’m writing to officially complain this sham and request a full refund of below item. I’m going to also complain to various authorities regarding the infringement of my right to cancel and get back refunds. Initially I placed an order for a wardrobe at £939.99 on 10 Jan 2023 and the estimated delivery date is 5-6 weeks. While there status is just preparing for shipping all along, on 11 Jan 2023 I requested to cancel the order right away with no change in shipping status at all. It is neither shipped, dispatched etc. And then everyday I kept following up on Chat with Wayfair asking when the cancellation will be confirmed. I was promised by Wayfair that I must get a response within 48 hours and my cancellation must be approved since the parcel is not yet shipped and the estimated delivery date is 20 Feb 2023. However I have waited till 16 Jan and I was told it cannot be cancelled. Wayfair, being the direct contracted party with me and I purchased at Wayfair relying on its brand name and trustworthiness, is shifting the responsibility to the supplier claiming that it’s the supplier not responding and Wayfair breached the promise and consumer protection and did not follow up and defend my consumer rights. Wayfair allowed the supplier to ignore the request since they do not want to lose the order while I am fully legitimate to cancel it one day after purchase with no change with the shipping status. It’s like a sham with Wayfair and I’m not going to trust Wayfair anymore. Even though the status is still preparing for shipping and the delivery date is 20 Feb and I have requested one day after the purchase, Wayfair is colluding with the supplier and eat up my £939.99 and do not allow me to cancel and refund. They allowed the supplier to drag for 5 days to make up that the parcel has been dispatched. This is apparently not legal. The worst thing is that I have been promised by the agent on the chat that I must be able to get a refund since the parcel is not yet shipped but after they procrastinated, now they said I cannot cancel. See their ever-changing attitude and is such unreliable. Based on the reasonable expectation that I must be able to cancel and refund, I have already purchased another wardrobe which comes much sooner. I’m also going to complain to relevant authorities as my consumer right is being infringed and they are breaching their promise in contract sales allowing cancellation. I am writing this to Wayfair review to also make other potential customers alert of this dodgy selling strategy of Wayfair and hope they would not be the next victim. I have also written to them and there are various chat record and invoice details substantiating my claim. I requested management of Wayfair to kick into it immediately and refund me in full now. I will escalate this matter to authorities. Thank you.

“Make believe dates”

Ordered 2 beds with get in by 21 December. This was a major factor in choosing wayfair. Order placed and received an email the same day saying it will be delivered 20 Dec between 8 and 8 then a update giving me an 1.5 hour window. Day of delivery come and 3 hours before the slot they postpone delivery. Later that day reschedule for a week later. Contacted customer services to be told the its not their issue but the distributors and the date is a guideline only. Only use Wayfair if you are in no rush.

“Item not delivered refused refund”

Wayfair is not a proper company it is an Dropshipping site. I Ordered a rug, DHL lost it and confirmed this in an email. I notified wayfair and asked for a refund, was told I would not be given a refund until the item is found, like it’s my fault they lost it. Have had to make complaints to Trading Standards, Consumer Action Group and the Ombudsman. Further more, upon checking with Companies House, they haven’t paid any tax since 2012 and filed exemption forms.

“Do not shop with Wayfair”

I purchased a sideboard from Wayfair for £620. After waiting almost a month for it to be delivered I received an email from the courier stating that out of the 4 parts that make up the sideboard only 3 were being delivered. When we received the delivery some of the parts were damaged. When I requested Wayfair send me the missing part and replace the damaged parts they refused until I returned the parts they had delivered that were damaged. When the collection was arranged the Wayfair courier failed to collect the order. Wayfair ignored my emails so I was forced to raise a dispute through PayPal.

“Indoor rabbit hutch damage ”

I bought an indoor hutch that was poor quality. Baby rabbit only stayed in it over night night 5 rabbit had a wee at the back of the hutch. Even though there was sawdust and a litter box the wee seeped down through the back of the litter tray as there was no base panel with this model and the litter tray is really shallow. It badly damaged the carpet. I cleaned the hutch out every day and found the urine pretty quickly. Carpet cleaning company couldn’t get stain out. Wayfair promised to phone me twice. Nothing. Eventually they offered me £35 towards the cost of a new carpet. I am currently taking them to county court. Anybody else who feels they have a claim against wayfair could try this. It can be free if you have certain benefits.

“Bad delivery service and douvet opened and with dust”

I purchased 3 items, one was a douvet and it didnt arrive. They deliver the douvet on the wrong house and one week later on they send it back to me with the box open. The douvet was full of dust and I will have to take it to the dry cleaner. Another extra cost to add to the purhcase.

We bought a number of products for our new home and paid. But the order was placed on hold and they cannot tell us why or when it will be released. You get passed around. No offer of refunds and no information. Look at the review ratings on other sites and rather order from reputable retailers.
