Avoid this company like the plague. Cancelled my transaction to buy a sofa and wanted a refund. Got bombarded with emails and phone calls trying to pusauade me to change my mind. They seemed desperate to keep my money and it took weeks of nagging them before I got my money back. Buyers beware.

“New company set up”

Please be warned - this company used to be "buy sofas online" They then magically setting up a new company called "Sofa Savings". They kept my deposit and its only a matter of time until they roll this dodgy company and start up with a new name Sofasavings You have been warned!

“County Court Judgement”

I have obtained a court Judgement against Buy Sofas Online for failure to pay refund on sofas that were returned on 24 Dec. The director Adam Greenfell is a liar and cheat. He made repeated promises and excuses that were total lies. Am pursuing refund thru credit card company.

This is a dodgy company. I have tear on these sofas just after 6 months. I have contacted the trading standard Agency for the matter and they are looking into this. You should bear in mind that buy-sofas-online.co.uk is the same as http://sofasavings.co.uk/. They have closed down the first and renamed it with the last. Stay well clear of it. They would change again in 12 months and you will lose your money in case there is a problem.

“Company shut down”

I was waiting weeks for my sofa to be delivered as they kept changing the delivery day. Then the day before last delivery date was arranged I received an email saying the company has closed down. I am waiting on PayPal to go through the claim, refund policy which could take few weeks. Reason for this review is that the site is still online so hope no one else loses out.

Do not touch this company have been waiting 6 weeks for sofa which should have been delivered within 10 -15 working days paid them £900 had email today the only one I have received from them to say they have ceased trading do not part with any money am now having to go through my bank to get refund which I have been told could take weeks to sort out with endless forms to fill out hope this is of help website is still up and running don't be misled

I received the same email today. When I tried contacting them on the numbers they've provided. The number does not work. I'm very concerned about this. “Do not go near this company”

Stay away from this company! They have no morals! I am currently pursuing my case through trading standards!! The sofa I bought my daughter is full of holes, this was the most money I have ever spent in my life having been made redundant from my job, thought I would "treat" her. Apparently our sofa has been subject to accidental damage! We sat on it !!! This was my first ever substantial Internet purchase, this company has put me off Internet shopping for life. NEVER EVER AGAIN!!!!!

Have you had any luck with trading standards. I have the same issue with my sofas. spoke to company house and found out the company has gone into liquidation as from today. They said i must call the creditors to see if they can sort something out for me apart from that there is nothing trading standards can do for me as the company has dissolved.

“Stay Well Away From This Company!!!”

Ordered The 'Caroline leather recliner' set 2 piece and 3 piece around September 2013. However at time of purchase they did not have the 3 seater in stock but agreed to deliver the 2 seater within 2 weeks in which they did. My 3 seater arrived around December 2013 and was very happy with my purchase. However, September 2014 my 3 seater sofa started to tear due to manufacture fault and I called company straight away in which the lady I spoke to was very helpful and seemed interested in trying assist with my complaint. Couple weeks after had no correspondence from the company and contacted them further to be promised a call back. This happened for the next couple months until they assigned an inspection from 3rd party company. I was promised a resolution after 2 weeks of the inspection but heard nothing after weeks. I contacted the company again and was fed lies about the report not being written, manager not being in etc. The last call I had with them was two weeks ago when I threatened legal action and was promised call back end of that week still no contact from them. I've tried to call them again but ironically there contact number online is not working. I've spoken to trading standards and they have advised me that I have a clear case and the steps I have to take. My advise is stay away from this company !!!

I am having the exact same trouble and with the same sofas!! My 3 and 2 seater both tore in a few months. I have been fighting for months now. First I was told I was getting replacements and now told I would have a refund. I have waited more than a month and still no communication. The director is never in and doesn't answer my emails or calls.

I completely understand your fustration. I didon't even require a refund and the dodging the bullet. Now I feel I want a refund because of the unprofessionalism of the company. My advice to you is to log the case with trading standards. The lady on the phone was very helpful advised me to write a letter recored delivery and give them a reasonable time frame to reply to my request. Also try seek alternative contact numbers etc. If no joy then get back in touch with trading standards and escalate the case.

I could have written this review myself, exactly the same has happened to me. We have nearly £1,000's worth of ripped sofa due to manufacture fault. Do not go near this company. Exactly the same as me, I had the Verona sofas, the so-called was falling off and coming up all over the within less than 6mths , contacted them, sent out a 3rd party (Servico), who told me its because of body lotions ( I rarely use them), I just laughed in the blokes face and told him not to be so stupid. He then told me the front of the cushions and seats weren't leather and their own customer services had told me the back and sides weren't leather, don't know if any of it is but description was leather. After not getting back to me after Servico, I contacted them again, they told me it had been resolved and I agreed with the problem!!!! I wanted to take them to court for Trade Description, guess I've got no chance now. Also in less than a year the springs in the seats are all coming up making the seat lumpy and uncomfortable.

Hi. sorry to bother you and i know its been along time since your post, but i was just wondering if you did take the sofa company to court and if you had any luck? i brought a so called leather sofa but found out it was plasic after seeing splits in it andit was about 14 months after i brought it i noticed then, so they said they cant help or wont help, so im taking them to court because the sofa isnt fit for purpose and £600 is alot of money just for one year of use, and as for that servico saying your fault was due to body lotion my was apparently due to me laying on my sofa and was told not to and to sit on the other of the 3 seats, lol, thats why i brought a 3 seater sofa so i can lay down to watch tv, say know they are called sofasavings, any feed back from you would be very greatful.

“Don't Buy any Sofas from Sofa on Line”

They are a company nobody should ever touch, the evening before the delivery I was called and informed that the Sienna suite I had ordered was damaged and that it would take 10 to 12 weeks for it to arrive in stock. They then tried to Palm me off with a cheaper pair of sofas, I did finally choose an alternative which was delivered. On arrival the driver and helper unloaded the sofas on the drive and after removing the packing in full view of the neighbourhood then put the pieces together and left them in the middle of the lounge and left leaving all the packing materials on the drive with the place littered with rubbish. They are positively a second rate operation and I would not recommend ever using them.

“Do not buy anything from this company.”

I bought the 3+2+1 Sienna brown leather suite. I Was told to go look in my local SCS shop and see the same suite. Sure enough it was there ( in black ) Large, luxurious and very comfy. Bought it online in November as promised delivery before Christmas on the 20th Dec. Suite eventually arrived on 18th Jan 15. I admit that delivery guys were very good and built the suite in my living room. Thought it looked a bit smaller and different to the SCS one, but delivery guys had already gone by this. After 1 week it has turned out to be the worst thing I have sat on, also digging in to the back of my legs as the cushions have all distorted and flattened forward. Now going to start process of getting my money back. Will probably have to do it through my card company. Although it is very enticing.....Stay well clear of this company, Unless you are wanting cheap, nasty rubbish..

“Awful service!!!!!”

I must admit the sofa I ordered (ethan suite 3 corner one) the quality is amazing and I cant fault it! the service on the other hand is absoloutley awful. I placed my order at the beginning of september and was promised that it would take 10 - 15 working days for it to arrive. by this time I was promised a delivery date, when this day came I had a call from the company saying it would be a week late. It was delivered a week later but instead of sending me a 3 corner 1 they sent me a 2 corner 1 with the promise of the extra part being sent a week later. that day came and still the missing piece was missing. week by week I was lied to by the company e.g. the sofa manufacturers were moving office, part lost in the warehouse etc..anyway the piece was on its way by courier(even though I had paid for 2 man assemble £65) and turned out it was the wrong piece that didnt match my sofa. it was sat outside by my gate as the courier is not paid to bring the goods in.. I rung the company and spoke to the manager who was unbelievebly rude who proceeded to tell me how much it was costing him to send the sofa via courier..I waited another 4 weeks in total with various different excuses and once again I spoke to the manager who was really rude again so I decided not to have any contact with them and to pass the dealing on to my husband. he dealt with the matter but was also lied to and once again the manager lost his temper with my husband! nearly 3 months down the line and they refunded me £60 and took the original sofa away and replaced it with a 3 corner 1 in a different design. it wasnt the original sofa I had ordered in jumbo cord, it now has squares on it instead.. I preferred the original design I ordered but both my husband and I have had enough of buy sofa's online so we accepted this one just so we didnt have any more bother with them. they are a useless company with no manners what so ever and no feeling towards their customers... awful company I would not recommend these even though the sofa's are top quality!

I bought a sofa from them in November 2014. Is there any guarantee with my purchase? It has started to rip on the cushions at the moment the rip is about 3 inches long it is repairable but does need urgent attention.
