i ordered some curry kit ( spice mixes) from them. 12 in total I emailed them especially to ask for packets with decent sell by date because the spices won't be used immediately and i added that these were going to be shipped abroad for xmas. Email received no reply 5 days later, i received the spices ( each kit packaged in paper sleeves) on a very rainy day, and the jiffy bag they came in was soaking wet most likely from the postman's round, so everything was a mess. the seal had come off most of the packets, they weren't sealed properly to start with and majority of the sleeves had water damages. what's worse was they'd sent me 4 spice mix without the actual paper sleeve, so these were just 1 inch plastic bag filled with spice, ie each contains approx 2 tablespoonful of spice. These were priced at £2 each and i did email to say these were intended as presents. when i rang them, they claim they ran out of the sleeves, so they just sent me the spice. They said they didn't think it necessary to ask me if it was ok, because they gave me a bonus pack of mix ( which I did not order or want and those were also quite old with scruffy looking seals) I emailed them for a refund, ( i was being very reasonable and only asked for a partial refund even though I can't use any of it for the purpose intended, ie as gifts) They did not reply to my email. If i don't hear from them, i will inform my credit card company. This is the second time I've bought spices ( for xmas presents) this month. The first purchase was from spices of india, and what they sent were so old they expired within days. all that money wasted so I tried again from this company curry cuisine, another disaster! The worrying thing is if these websites have such poor customer service, there is no guarantee their products were made or stored at acceptable standards to ensure they are fit for human consumption.
