I placed an order for same day delivery, only to find it did not arrive the same day, or any day after this. After multiple emails to the company I finally received an answer - the delivery was not possible on the date I selected!

Why would you charge my credit card if you could not process the order?
If you could not offer same day delivery, why advertise this on your internet site? Is this not false advertising?
And even if you did email me as you say you did (which I did not receive), it was at close of business on the day delivery was expected, leaving no time for alternative arrangements.
You also had my mobile phone number, yet no effort was made to contact me.
It took 2 emails to your company to receive a reply.

I found this entire experience incredibly unsatisfactory.
