Saw a $10 off Teleflora coupon in Saturday paper. Called then to order nice birthday bouquet for my mother. Received email confirmation that the order was in process for delivery a few days away - the Tuesday of her birthday. Tuesday night, I called my mom and no delivery. And my special instructions asked that Teleflora call her cell if they have delivery challenges such her not being there.
Looked at my personal email account that Tuesday evening and turns out that they sent an email that day of delivery at 1 p.m. to let let me know the issue. Local florist didn't have right flowers. But if I would "call them in time" they would deliver them anyway. Or I could call and reschedule. So I called immediately that evening and rescheduled it. They gave me a 20 percent discount. And said they would set if up for Wednesday delivery. Wednesday came and went. My mother said the flowers never arrived and this time she carried her cell phone around everywhere.
Thursday, I called and cancelled my order. I asked how I can make a complaint. The operator said he would be sure to escalate the compliant to his boss and they would reprimand the local florist.
Really poor customer service follow through. And whether it was their fault or local florist fault, some one dropped the ball. They could have make a repeat customer out of me. But instead, my mom ended up with nothing on her day.
