I ordered some roses to be sent to my girlfriend at the time in Toronto. They were being sent to her work. The order outlined a particular delivery timeframe, to be delivered before 5pm. Since this lined up with her work schedule, I decided this shouldn't be a problem.

I sent half a dozen roses. With the flowers, vase, and delivery, the total came to about $50. However, the flowers were delivered late. They didn't get to her work until after five, so she didn't get them until the next morning, and by then they were all wilted.

Obviously I wanted my money back, so I emailed them and called their customer service line. I never got a reply on the email. No one ever answered their customer service line, but there was a recording saying to leave a message and they'd call back within 24 hours. I called at least once a week for two months straight, leaving a message every time, and no one ever phoned me back.

Finally, one day, I called three times in one day, and someone finally answered on the third try. I explained the situation, and the gentleman told me he would send my complaint to his supervisors to have it evaluated.

A week later, I got a statement on my credit card: Bloomex had sent me a refund, but it was only for four and a half dollars. That's less than 10% of what they charged me for a service that I never received (delivery before 5 p.m.) Do not buy flowers from Bloomex. They will take your money like they took mine.
