I joined Lovefilm back in march and was never able to use it on my Samsung blue ray player. I wasn't interested in getting DVDs through the post. I just wanted the streaming 'watch now' service.
I made several calls to Lovefilm about this and all they kept doing was saying it will be sorted within 30 days. It never was. I was able to use it on my ipad but never on my main TV. All they kept telling me was that it was on their high priority list and that it was a glitch in their software that was causing the trouble. Phone call after phone calll they just kept saying the same thing. 6 months later, they STILL haven't fixed the software glitch and I have now cancelled it. Cancelling was another nightmare. When you tell them you want to cancel they leave you waiting on the phone with a really annoying message on a loop. No music, just an annoying repetative message. This is obviously designed to irritate and an attempt to make to hang up before getting a chance to cancel. Then an Indian voice comes on and he just wouldn't listen. I told him I was fed up and asked him to cancel it at least 6 or 7 times. He just kept going on and on about giving them one more chance. I eventually had to blow my top with him which is something I don't like doing. I gave them plenty of time to get things sorted but it never was. Dreadful company. There are several systems which have this problem so be aware. Don't waste as much time with them as I did. If its not fixed inside 30 days drop them like a hot stone. Gonna try Netflix.
