The item I received was damaged. No problem, I understand things get damaged in transit. What I found totally unacceptable was the way in which SMC absolved themselves of all responsibility when I tried to return the product for exchange. I agreed to wait at home on a given date and they would arrange for the item to be collected. I waited and waited, no sign of them. I called to ask them what time I could expect the collection? "Don't know, any time before five". OK. Five comes and goes, I call again with the same question, " don't know, any time before six". Six comes and goes. You get the idea...
They tell me they have no control over their courier, this may be true and by the way, they seem to have plenty of control when it comes to my debit card. Maybe they should insist on the same from Parcel Force.
It's not the fact that they fail that irks me, it is their attitude to me when they do.
I have purchased a number of items from them in the past with no problem, then again I have never had to return anything before.
You may buy from SMC with confidence, I just hope you don't have to return it! As for me, I'll take the hit this time and go elsewhere the next.
