I've recently ordered two lots of stuff from this store via their website. Their prices are very competitive which was a pleasant surprise - for instance a batch of sable brushes at half price but all of their prices are good and better than many. I was surprised to find that the store I was dealing with was in Glasgow which is only 100 miles from me, I was expecting it to be down South somewhere. I had a couple of questions and phoned their store - the girl I dealt with was very helpful, unfortunately I can't remember her name but she was very helpful so that has sealed the deal for me and I will order all future materials from this site. I can't recommend them enough.

I ordered a drawing board and some paper from the art store. The parcel arrived promptly, was very well packaged and the goods were of good quality as described on the website. No complaints. Will use them again!

I have ordered a variety of materials from the Art Store over the past couple of years and I am always delighted with the polite response, efficiency and prompt service. I have no complaints and would heartily recommend it.

Everything from the store side was fine. Timely, well packaged, did what they said they were going to do, comprehensible paperwork etc. The thing that got in the way of a 5 star score was the courier. This isn't a moan but how it was.... E mail from courier saying will be delivered between 11 and 2 on Saturday. Marvellous...stayed in to take delivery. 2.00. Nothing. 3.00. Nothing. 4.00. Nothing... Don't remember taking any hallucinatory drugs... Get phone number of courier from e mail and make a call.. where's my stuff..? but a new e mail says driver attempted to deliver package but no-one was in ...dawk..!* Phone company. Computerised answering machine. Please enter the reference number on the card the driver left at the property. No card. No number no get through. Input made up number to get round the system. Sorry we don't recognise this number. Please hold while we coonect you with one of our advisors. 5 minutes later - sorry all our operators are busy... Ditto 10 minutes and after about 15 minutes. "How can I help you today"? I explain. "Our system says the item has been delivered"... "This is what I'm ringing about..." "If the driver brings the item back you can pick it up on Monday". "Where are you?" "Indian Queens." "Thats miles away any in anycase I have paid to have it delivered to my door"... "You can pay for a delivery upgrade to ensure that it is delivered at a specified time." "No thanks" While I am going through this it becomes established that the driver still has the item on board. "I am a trainer and should your drivers need any training I can provide it at very reasonable rates. It would involve reading the address on the parcel and matching it to the house they are at." "Well give you a free upgrade sir - and it will be delivered between 11 and 2 on on Monday". "Wonderful". "Is there anything else we can help you with today"? "No thank you - bye bye".

The product and price was fine but the delivery (via Interlink Express) was a nightmare. They emailed to say they would deliver on Monday and if that date wasn't convenient I could change it. It wasn't convenient so I wanted to change it to Friday - their website would only let me go up to Thursday! An operator said that's as far as the computer would allow so Friday wasn't an option. So I thought I'd change the address to my office. But I couldn't do that until I had a 'magic number' from a Sorry You Were Out card! In other words I had to let the delivery fail before I could change the delivery address. In the end I persuaded a local shop to take delivery and left a note on my front door. (Oh, an the 'local' depot was 40 miles away).

The goods were very well packaged and with me in no time - think it was a day at most before they got there. The service worked very smoothly, I got a good discount and the stuff was as advertised - which is pretty much all you can ask for, really. In terms of ordering, some aspects of the site were a bit confusing and it took a bit of hunting to find some of the items - but would stress that this is a minor quibble and the whole thing was processed very quickly. Some of the range could be improved - I use A0 Daler mountboard a lot, and it would be very handy if there was an online order/delivery service for this (as it is a real pain having to carry it home from the only shop in Glasgow that sells them!) c

Ordered a range of different products (lino blocks, paper, card, pencils), the order arrived quickly, it was extremely well packaged and I am very happy with the quality of all the items received. I have nothing bad to say, the ordering process couldn't have gone better.
