This company is quick to sell you their EPOS Hardware and Software, but neglect to mention that there are ongoing costs involved and that you will be locked out of the system if you fail to pay. This is RANSOMWARE! The "Terms" state that there is an annual license fee, but no where on the site are the Terms actually linked to - not on the order form, payment form or even in the footer. The software is grossly out of date, the user guide supplied with the software is outdated, and you can't configure the simplest bits of information on the software for your business. Avoid EPOS Direct and Emperium Software like the plague.

really wish I could give this company no stars, they are that bad. I purchased 2 till systems last February(2016) with a special promotion package which stated; No Annual Licence Fee and No Monthly costs. My tills gave me a pop up message to say my licence was due and that it would expire on the 4th December 2016. This action would have rendered them useless. I contacted Epos Direct who told me that there was a mandatory support fee of £60 per month (both tills) and unless I paid them £720 they would not give me my new licence key. I went for a demonstration of the product in Manchester and met with the salesman who endorsed the promotion and told me we there was no monthly payments and no support fee. I have been backwards and forwards trying to get this sorted as the clock is ticking and I wont have any tills for my restaurant very soon. The customer service is worse than useless, they are very rude and totally intransigent. I have sent them a recorded letter outlining these problems, as advised by Trading Standards, and as of yet they have not responded. My situation at the moment is I have contacted another software company who are willing to remove their (EposDirect) software and install a brand new system, with no licence fee, no monthly costs and an optional support fee of £40 per month. This will leave me out of pocket but I hope to recoup this money from EposDirect by way of small claims court. This has been a very stressful event for us and in ten years of business I have never encountered such an unworthy and untrustworthy company in my life! I reiterate DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY

Had been slightly apprehensive given some other poor feedback, but my experience was flawless. I phoned to check service level and the reply was polite and efficient. Placed my order online on Sunday and opted for free delivery which was 3-5 days. EPOS Bundle arrived on Tuesday! Their engineer setup the system and provided training and we were serving customers within 4 hours. Very happy in all respects and would recommend to anyone.

The system is in boxes in my shop as I was unable to install the software files sent (Productfile template). My security software deemed it unsafe, Windows did not recognize the file. Repeated emails to a non friendly technical support went unanswered. The chap had called the shop, my staff could not understand him.He just ignored the fact that we could not install the software and sent repeated emails asking us to install. I paid for the system in full after being assured that the system was stand alone, that is, not connected to a host server. When completing my details the second request in the form was for my bank details. I did not complete as I have no idea who or what company has access and cancelled the form. Email from the same technical support person as above telling me to install the files sent. I asked about SSH and SSL certification and documentation support on security - received no response. I asked where the server was hosted no response received. No advice given during the sales pitch that support is charged annually. Indeed no advice given in the sales pitch that the system was hosted.I then started to receive emails from their accounts department for monthly payments of £432. I responded to every one and received no reply. These are now on my credit file. I contacted the company and was advised to email to the contact address on their website. 9 Emails no response. As a small business I cannot afford to spend this amount of money. The total lack of response from any department does not support the claims on their website of good customer service. I will return the goods and have asked for a refund - no surprise no response received.

I bought a software for my tills on last Friday, its already up and running within 2 days. Great support, my previous company eposnow was a joke. It was very very slow. Thanks eposdirect.

Till system with good function but with deadly weakness, either the software or the hardware. The sales man just took the money, and left all the work to poor tech support guys. In order to update our Till system in order to manage our business better. we purchased the till system with whole equipment. Nobody could never image, the sales man's promise that we could get multi-language support , free hospitality system is just a dream. The nightmare is the till will stop with blue screen or frozen screen everyday, Everyday. The screen will turn to blue with errors or it just shut down by itself without any signs. And sometimes, the screen just freeze, you could do nothing but restart it several times. Tech support guys do help with some functional help because we paid the whole year service. However, if the computer could not be saved, could they provide alternative solution just act like one mature tech company? Since we got it, it has been almost 6 months, We are not kind of complaining guys...but really think need to give some relevant response to the unfair deal!

Nice reliable company with a good solid product. No faults throughout my order process. There are cheaper alternatives, but having burnt my fingers I wanted something more robust and reliable which these guys have provided.

We had a system ordered from a company claiming to be eposdirect only later to find that we had been fooled. Anyhow, being Turkish we know how to get our money back, we placed an order with eposdirect on 14th through their website. We were very impressed at the speed in which the order was delivered, we were up and running on our busy night Friday 16th. I was asked to do a review and honestly say they know what they are doing and gives us restaurant owners peace of mind.

Being a client of eposdirect for more than 2 yrs, I thought it might be a good idea to share my view, I started with one system in 2012, bought second one in 2013 and bought third one 3 months back. I can easily recommend it to anyone who has a single or multiple shops. I am only 29 yrs old and its been so easy to manage 3 shops with the help of epos. Can't think of running the shop without it. I like their approach. All clients are dealt by an account manager of their own, mine is like a elder brother to me when he explains he sounds more friend then a salesman.

Many epos out there but most are just cash registers. I have used a few and find this epos system to be excellent because it has good stock control and I can manage my staff. I also need remote access and a solid reliable system which this is. The support service is very good however there are delays sometimes which is frustrating but they get the job done and I haven't experienced any concerning issues. Its also good value for money.

We bought a system ED-910 under a weekly payment scheme, firstly you pay your first week via PayPal. Then you get an email asking you to send proof iof ID. Which is fair enough. During all this they tell you it's being financed by Sterling Asset Finance and the credit check is with them. So all this is agreed and approved but while your waiting for approval they state in emails your system is being put together ready for shipping. When approved you get an email from sterling asset finance who state before shipping can happen you must pay upfront to be collected by direct debit your first week plus an admin fee and document fee totals £120 bearing in mind you have already paid a week upfront via PayPal. So we wanted our system quickly and asked if we could pay the amount by debit card. A man called us and took payment via debit card. We then asked EPOS direct when we would now get the system was told 7-10 working days bearing in mind during emails ; days previously they claimed the system was being readied. Explained we needed it urgently and after 3 days of us constantly calling them we got an email stating it had been despatched. System arrived - had wrong software, till didn't open the cash drawer, called EPOS direct who did a remote assistance took them 3 days to sort out this. They claimed 24/7 support was available. We called at 9pm and no one was there the call system kept sending to voicemail, left a voicemail no one called back until the next day at 1pm. Also bear in mind while you are waiting for the system to arrive a credit agreement is running and you haven't even seen the goods and they start taking weekly payments. We cancelled the direct debit and the agreement under the 14 day cooling off period, and demanded a refund of all monies paid. To date all emails and calls are ignored. The credit agreements do not tell you their interim permission number (formerly known as consumer credit licence number), the agreements don't even tell you who their regulated by or your rights in cancelling. On top of all this guess what .... Sterling Asset Finance are actually EPOS Direct also known as Emperium and also E-Novations Group. We returned the system and heard nothing more but they did threaten us with bailiffs, and also a fake company called crown recovery agents of we did not re-Instate the direct debit. Clearly we refused and we will not be intimidated by these people. We have trails of emails to prove what we have written here to be true. They then said they would within 2 hours be at our door with a demand for payment. I actually thought legal demands such as these had to be issued by a court. And the creditor should be following guidelines set by a number of days and time. If I was you I would look at alternative companies and avoid this lot. Also claims on their website to have offices in Edinburgh. We checked this out. No one has ever heard of them. The showrooms also do not stock any products ready to collect. All are demo models and have to be ordered in. We were told by the tech team no stick is kept and all us ordered in. You will be mislead from the start. Luckily we have raised a dispute with paypal and also a chargeback with the bank in relation to our debit card payment.

I hardly ever give negative reviews but feel quite upset with this company. We purchased a package under a lease agreement for a till and the software. However, twice since we made the purchase back in May this year, we get a message on the till saying our license needs renewing in so many days. When I rang last time they tried telling me I had to purchase the support package as well. We are a small country pub with just one till and not some huge chain! We cannot afford to pay for this support when our agreement states we pay £20 a week and this includes the software. I had to be very assertive on the phone to get them to give me the key so we could continue to use the till and the same has happened to day. The product itself works fine, however there is no manual although this was promised and I have reminded them on several occasions. I'm hoping this review might provoke some sort of response in a positive way!

We use the software in all our PDA and in the main till. Works very well and we are happy with software. if we need additional changes OR Update or. E-novations.co.uk does that for us.

This is my 3rd and 4th EPOS system i bought. unfortunately, my other 2 was from a different company (don't want to mention name but had EPOS in the beginning). I spoke to sales person in Manchester-EPOS.co.uk and he traveled to me, showed demo and explained how the system works and how to make best use of the software (Emperium Retail). The sales rep was good and had proper understanding of business. I am feeling good already as my other till was a disaster. The price is good for the software and the system, support is also affordable. They delivered in 10 days time, but the wait was well paid off after i got the system and training. Highly recommended.

We have recently changed till system & our supplier as they are very slow. We Purchased 4 software from EPOSDIRECT. They are very simple & user friendly software. Eposdirect trained our all staffs and they very helpful. Thank to Eposdirect.

I Bought an epos system from this company in 2010 and from that day onwards I had problem for about an year. I eventually moved to different company. I had all the problems like the others said and sadly it seems like there are still continuing the same practice. I did complain to my local trading standard and Tower Hamlet trading standard. With out a shadow of a doubt, this is the worst ever company I have ever dealt in this country. This company was sending me invoices for some thing never provided even two years after leaving them. There are plenty of other proper epos companies are around. Do your research properly before committing to yourself. If you want to go ahead with eposdirect, see you GP and get some pressure tablets. You will definitely need them in the days to come.

Hi, I decided not to remove there software and installed a different program which I downloaded for free. This program allows you two free licenses which allows you to run 2 tills. If you require assistance with the set up then this also free. Any problems after that you just pay as and when you need it. There is no maintenance contract and no hidden fees.
I am very happy with the new system but you have to program it yourself. I don't profess to being a pc genius but I managed to do it as once you get the hang of it, it becomes just inputting your information.
The name of the company is 'Point of Success', an American company who are very helpful and there is a forum page which also gives you good information.
