I placed one order a few months ago and was relatively happy with the shopping experience and the quality of the clothing. I've kept my eye on a few items since then, and finally decided to make a purchase yesterday when they were offering 50% off a purchase of $200 or more. I do feel that their clothing is ridiculously overpriced, so it is only worth shopping here if you have a decent coupon code. While checking out yesterday, I entered multiple credit cards, all of which were inexplicably "not authorized". I finally gave up. I got an email this morning saying they were having technical difficulties and were still honoring the 50% off, so I decided to go ahead and complete my order. When I submitted my order, the checkout page showed the correct 50% off total of $123.50, but as soon as the order processed, it showed the order total as the full price amount of $247. I called immediately to let them know of the error, thinking they would apologize and immediately refund me the amount that I was overcharged, but not only did the U.S. customer service have no ability to help me (they kept saying they would "email" my information to the UK, and when I asked if we could call them directly, they said they couldn't - what??), but the only thing they were willing to do was tell me to call when I received the items (likely a good 2+ weeks from now) to have them refund me the $123.50 I was overcharged. I tried to get them to cancel my order (it had only been about 5 minutes since it processed) and they said they couldn't. I told them I could report them to the BBB, because I truly feel that this is stealing from the consumer, whether or not they are willing to refund me the money weeks from now. They cannot charge me an amount that I did not agree to, and they can't make it so difficult for me to get my money back. I went back and forth in a heated discussion with the manager, and finally had to concede when I realized that this is a sham of a company that I will never shop with again. In 2012, every online company should have the ability to cancel an order and refund an amount charged in error at any time. I told him I was going to call back as soon as the charge cleared on my credit card (I am certainly not waiting two weeks until I get my merchandise - what kind of policy is that?), and I can only hope that I will be happy enough with the clothing I ordered to make this experience at least a little palatable. Anyway, buyer beware.
