“THE WORST SHOPPING EXPERIENCE EVER!!!!!”

★☆☆☆☆

I have never written a review before but I feel the public should be warned about this company...I tried purchasing some clothes for my fiance yesterday and basically got my time wasted by staff who chose to lie to me.before going on to their website i had no clue that it was a credit only company, since i do not purchase anything on credit I would not have bothered with registering or ordering any stuff...while trying to checkout and pay for jeans worth well over £100,the process came to a halt and after calling to enquire what the issue was, their ridiculous customer service rep goes ahead and tells me that they cannot trace me through their credit checks...
"ahhhh, who gave you permission to do that??did i ask for credit?? and you can't trace me because i DO NOT do credit!!!If you had called my bank, they would have told you I had well over £3000 in my debit account and I have not taken any loans from them!!!"
but alas, they wanted to give me some credit and rip me off!!so after being told to wait for my account to be restricted to cash only, which never happened!!! I decided there are way too many companies in the world selling big size mens clothes with better service. I might not have purchased anything at the end of the day(Thank God),but that was an epic waste of my time and amounts to false advertising on their part...company policy should be made clear to the public.People ought to know that this company is very unclear on their sale policies and possibly for a very good reason...overcharging people!!!

We had to stop dealing with Jacamo because we were getting angry letters about unpaid bills with late payment penalties added. I rang them and they said they had sent me five different invoices which I had REFUSED to pay. This was not so. We paid them off anyway. We tried again a couple of months later and had exactly the same response. A huge bill for a couple of cheap items. We paid them off and will never deal with them again.

Hi, I am absolutely shocked at the attitude of this crowd. I have basically been tricked into having an account with them...I never ever use credit with online purchases in this way. I pay for everything on the spot by debit card. Now they write saying I owe them charges for this and that...I am determined not to pay anything but what I owe them.

Have any of you taken this further? I would be very interested to hear your advice about what I should do. Thank you

It's not that easy to take things further. You order goods, they arrive, you open the package and use the items. Weeks later a letter arrives from Jacamo saying that you are being charged for non payment with added late fees. You telephone them to protest. They swear you have been sent at least five reminders which you have deliberately ignored. You, of course, have no proof that these letters have NOT arrived. They then threaten to sue you with added court fees. You have no recourse but to pay the, now huge, amount as you have no proof of your innocence. But, of course, you never use them again.

I hadn't read all these reviews in their entirety until today. It seems there may be a case for sending them all to TV's Rogue Traders?
