“Shocking service”

★☆☆☆☆

written by Nicolaangell on 07/04/2024

I bought the pink babylo sprint pram two months ago which I had nothing but problems with the brakes didn’t line up with the frame so didn’t work, the front wheel constantly pulled to one side and then the one back tyre had lots of holes and totally worn and went flat. I know it wasn’t a massive amount of money (£139) but to me as a single parent it’s a lot. I contacted the company back and fore over twenty time which took 2-3 days to get a reply everytime. Now they have said they can’t help me it’s my fault and there’s nothing they will do so now I have no pram and I can’t afford to buy another. Their customer service is atrocious. DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY.

“Beware! Will not repair or replace damaged item”

★☆☆☆☆

written by Daviskn458 on 27/02/2024

Purchased a baby 360 chair and play station for my baby for Christmas, she has used it for a maximum of 60 hours, probably less, and yesterday one of the parts snapped off. Online4baby will not replace or repair the item as they are describing it as ‘misuse’! Purchases your baby items from a reputable shop where you are sure you will get the correct aftercare, especially when it’s an item for your baby!

“Broken & dangerous pram no refund ”

The wheel fell off my pram while my daughter was in it. This was after just over 6 months of use. Online4Baby say this is ‘natural wear and tear’ shocking that a pram which cost £500 has only lasted 6 months!!! Avoid avoid avoid

My mum brought me the baby car seat . I had used it for 3 weeks . The clip broke . I was told they would not replace it as it’s not the fault of the company. It was the safety clip . So I can not use it again . Thank god it wasn’t in a bad car accident this would never of protected my baby!! Very dangerous. I will never buy from this company again !

“PARENTS BEWARE FAULTY CAR SEAT”

★☆☆☆☆

written by VictoriaDove on 27/04/2023

PARENTS BEWARE FAULTY CAR SEAT… If I could give online for baby 0 stars then I would. I purchased a car seat- Puggle Kingston Safety Plus ISOFIX Group 1,2,3 Car Seat - Blush Pink on the 26th January 2023. I contacted customer service yesterday 26th april as the buckle is faulty and the harness straps won’t click into the buckle to secure it. This has happened twice this week and I have been unable to strap my toddler into the seat. I took photos and asked them for a replacement. On the website it states photo/ video but customer service are insisting on video evidence which I have said would be hard to provide as it’s not every time. How am I suppose to go out and then worry that I’m stuck somewhere because the car seat decides to not clip in. They suggested once i get a video they would then take the car seat to be fixed and if it couldn’t be fixed then a replacement one would be provided. What do Online4baby suggest I do when I don’t have a car seat? Also do I just take their word that the problem is fixed? What happens if the buckle isn’t secure and unclips while i’m driving or if i’m an accident? This is a big ask for online4 baby to put on your child’s safety in a car. Parents beware do not buy a car seat or any item you want your baby to be safe in from online4baby there policy’s on replacement is ridiculous and unpractical.

“Don’t purchase from this company please for your safety ”

★☆☆☆☆

written by LyricAshby on 18/08/2022

This company is the worst I dealt with. The beds I got came with damaged parts and no replaced was provided. On top of the damaged part one of the bed fall apart while my baby was sleeping!!!! The customer service don’t care and despite I was upset about the situation the lady on the phone started telling me that I put by baby in danger by putting the baby on the bed!!!! I bought this bed to use it for the baby how dare you telling me I put my baby in danger when you are the one providing me a bed that is unsafe and I called to report it!!!!!! After I confronted her about what she said and she should be ashamed of saying that she hung up on me. Now that I read many reviews I know I am not the only one they tricked, this company sell unsafe items for babies!!!! PLS AVOID AT ALL COST!!!!!

Only purchase from manufacturer directly as this company don't care about little ones at all, they purchase products cheap, resell it and If you have any issues down the line they won't help as you outside of your 30days or they don't see any issue with it ... Useless and don't care about customer!! Never ever will I purchase anything from them !

“Dangerous 4Baby crib”

★☆☆☆☆

written by Dolan183 on 16/02/2021

I strongly urge anyone considering purchasing a 4Baby Little Acorn crib not to do so. My son has twice woken with large dents in his head due to the round bars and, of course, we are not able to put bumpers on the cot as Lullaby Trust strongly advises against doing so. I asked for a straight swap for something of the same value with flat slats and was rudely refused. It's upsetting as I've been using this company for almost a year. I will not be using it again.

“Product unfit for purpose, staff unfit for purpose”

★☆☆☆☆

written by Emmaj90 on 15/01/2021

I ordered a Joie Tourist stroller from Online4Baby because they were cheaper than their competitors and my maternity pay has sadly come to an end. Initially I was quite impressed, ordering was easy, the delivery was prompt, product looked ok upon first inspection so I couldn’t wait to test it out with my 15 month old. I decided to take it out at nap time, reclined the seat and it worked a charm. My daughter fell into a lovely dreamy sleep and we had a lovely walk - that is until she woke up and wanted to sit up. I tried to put the seat upright however pushing it as far as it would go it was still considerably reclined. Pair this situation with a curious, headstrong toddler and you have a disaster! When we got home, I tried once more to push the seat into an upright position with no success. I didn’t think it was unreasonable to expect that a modern day stroller should be capable of this so I assumed it was faulty and emailed the customer service team. The initial response was in good time, the representative asked for images and a video to demonstrate the issue I was having to enable them to investigate further. I replied with the requested items and waited a further 9 days for a response before sending another email to follow up. They replied to inform me that someone would be in touch within 24-48 hours to discuss my query. Someone claiming to be a manager called me the next day. She said that they had looked at the information I had presented and there was nothing wrong with the stroller, the product was designed this way and isn’t supposed to sit upright. She also said I should have checked it sat upright before I took it outside. Now call me a crazy person but to assume a stroller sits up would be like assuming it had wheels - One would just expect that surely?! I explained that this rendered the product unfit for purpose. She said that it was my own personal opinion, some would not see this as an issue and and they would not be assisting any further. I tried to further question how they had come to this conclusion about the strollers design and she was kept repeating the same phrase “we cannot assist you any further” like a robot, suggesting she wasn’t actually listening to me and wasn’t interested in explaining herself to me. I asked to speak to someone else to which she responded “There is no one else, I’m the manager”. I’ve worked in customer service myself for most of my adult life so I know that there is always someone else...... she denied that there was and said we were going around in circles and she wouldn’t be assisting further. I asked her if she had children herself and if she could relate, at which point she said she did, that I was rude and that she was ending the call. I told her I wasn’t finished discussing my query, she told me to put a complaint in writing. Unsurprisingly and rudely, she hung up. Her manner was extremely unbothered and patronising. It was almost as though she was quite happy that my written complaint was not not going to be taken seriously which didn’t give me much confidence in the management team but all the same, I did as she abruptly told me and I wrote a complaint and requested that someone reasonable contact me. The very same day, the general manager called me back but sadly I missed it. He left a voicemail but by the time I got to my phone their lines were closed. He tried again the next day which sort of gave me the idea that he was actually keen to resolve my query but I missed that call too. I asked my husband to call him back when their lines opened, just for my own peace of mind that I am not a rude, confused alien from outer space, expecting too much from a £100 stroller and the customer service team. He has just got off the phone and confirmed my suspicions that I am not. He said pretty much exactly the same as the previous “manager” did and that they would not be assisting further. My husband asked if they would be continuing selling products which are unfit for use and he responded “I’d appreciate it if you didn’t speak of our products in this manner” suggesting that they would be continuing to sell this and he was backing it up. He basically told my husband no refund, no exchange, no goodwill gesture and to “have a nice day now” so we can see where the staff get their unhelpful and patronising manner from. Advice to potential customers: Avoid like the plague. Buy cheap, buy twice and waste your time and energy trying to resolve the situation. Advice to Online4Baby: Check the products you’re selling are not in fact junk and perhaps enrol on a communications seminar when this lockdown is over to learn how to properly address the customers that have so far kept you in business. “Have a nice day” does not equal customer service.

“Horrendous. Avoid.”

★☆☆☆☆

written by RetailBen on 15/09/2020

Horrendous. Avoid. Just the worst customer service. They do not respond to emails and you cannot get through on any phone lines. I've been trying to get a response since the 22nd of July - it's now the 15th September. I've now resorted to completing a small claim through the court service.

“Do not use this company, please avoid”

★☆☆☆☆

written by Daniio on 08/09/2020

Do not purchase from this company. I’ve given them one star because there’s not an option to give 0 stars. I purchased a Moses basket and stand from online4baby and the quality and appearance of the product is absolutely appalling. The basket looks grubby, dingy and cheaply made. The material and stitching is shocking. The wicker was broken/snapped in places and protruding out which can easily cause injury to a new born. The inner padding was also protruding out of the poor stitching/material. It’s not fit for a dog to sleep in let along a baby. The basket was clearly made on the cheap. Online4Baby accept no liability for their poor quality products and expect customers to return poor quality goods to them at a cost to the customer, and will not budge on this even when images of the basket were supplied to them. I was simply advised that there was nothing wrong with the basket and that was their standard. I wish I’d looked at reviews before ordering from this company, I deeply regret using them. It took months to receive the basket and now I’ve got to purchase a second basket with little time to spare (with me out of pocket) before my baby is due. Please avoid this company at all costs.

“AVOID AT ALL COSTS! ”

★☆☆☆☆

written by Louise140884 on 24/10/2018

AVOID AT ALL COSTS! Told by the customer service manager that they would only issue a refund if a baby had died!!!! Why would you say that to a new mum? Disgusting person and company. DO NOT BUY FROM THEM. I’d been bought a Mee-Go buggy board as a gift from Online4baby. I’d put this together and attached the universal buggy board to my pram (a bugaboo buffalo) I thought this was fitted correctly and went out for a walk with my newborn and 2 year old. After a couple of minutes we encountered our first kerb, going up it the universal buggy board detached itself and my 2 year old went flying backwards. Luckily she wasn’t hurt but after closer inspection of the clips on the board, they don’t fully close around the bar of my pram even with the safety straps tightly secured around the pram I am not confident to use this again for fear it will happen again. I wouldn’t want this to happen on a busy main road for example! I’d been in touch with the person who bought this and they’d been in touch with Online4baby only to be told that because it’s been over 30 days you will not exchange for a different board or refund! It was bought as a gift in plenty of time for my babies arrival. It’s the same as a pram, you would buy it earlier to make sure you have it in time in case baby came early and/or so you are prepared. In my case the board looked like it fitted well and had a practise with it around the house. It was only once I’ve been able to get out of the house and used it on uneven surfaces and kerbs that the problem has arisen. I’d been in touch with the manufacturer and they confirmed from pictures that the universal board will not fit a bugaboo buffalo and was told to contact yourselves to exchange this for the larger board with four wheels, which has a different fitting which I was told would fit my pram. I’d been told how they reacted to the emails sent and how they just dismissed this because it’s been over 30 days since purchased. The emails were rude and unsympathetic. I find this appalling behaviour from a shop selling baby items. I understand they have a 30 day policy but as this supposedly universal board doesn’t fit a very popular pram then I would of assumed they would wave the 30 days policy especially as I’m wanting to exchange for a more expensive product which we would obviously pay the difference! Very disappointing Online4Baby! I hope that this review helps others to use anyone but this company. I’ve read some of the other reviews and the level of customer service is appalling! Again to be told on the phone that a refund for an item purchased over 30 days ago would only be issued if a baby had died is just disgusting! What a heartless and unsympathetic company.

“Useless customer service!”

★☆☆☆☆

written by Bridget221 on 01/03/2018

Poor customer service is an understatement!!!! I originally placed an order on the 7th November 2017 for my daughters birthday which was on 16th November, when ordering I was advised that it would be delivered to me on the 9 November. I then received an email to say that there was a delay and that the order would be sent on 9 November reaching me on the 10 November. I then didn't receive it on the 10th and had to phone them to chase, I was then advised there was a further delay and would be sent on 15th November, to be with me on 16th November, I explained that it was my daughters actual birthday that day and was re-assured it would reach me on time. I heard nothing on the 15th and phoned to ask if it had been sent and was advised that It was wrongly labelled in your stock room?!?! and would I like another product!! I then had no pram for my daughters birthday and was told it would be with me at the beginning of December. I received another email to say that there was yet another delay and that It would be sent out on 11th December reaching me on the 12th December. I then didn't receive it on the 12th December nor heard anything, so I had to chase them AGAIN and was told it will be sent 15th December reaching me 18th December. I then received another email on the 15th December saying that there was another delay and that it would reach me by 8th February 2018. I then received another email on 2nd February to say that it would be with me on 1st March. Its now the 1st March and nothing!!! I've yet again had to chase them to be told that there is a further wait but they had failed to inform me. I've cancelled the order today as I cannot deal with this company anymore they have stressed me out so much and I'm now no closer to getting my daughters pram than what I was at the start before ordering it. To top it all of I also received a phone bill and the call I had to made to them on 15th November to chase my order cost me £5.52! as it was a 0870 number.

“Appalling company - please avoid, caused much distress!”

★☆☆☆☆

written by KeaganForsyth on 31/07/2017

I don't usually write reviews, but I'm so disgusted by this company, I feel I need to write a review on this occasion Please avoid purchasing from this company. You will undoubtedly be disappointed! I found The actions of this company disgraceful, I recently purchased an item via eBay. The product was poor in quality, I personally found the difficult to assemble and most possibly defective. I have two builders instruct me that the item was alllegdly faulty. I requested to return the within 24 hours of receiving it, all I simply wanted was my statutory right of a full refund. I have never known a company to resist my right to refund, as much as online baby Ltd. They tried every trick to avoid giving me a refund. Despite them not having any legal recourse to do so. In the end I needed eBay to intervene and they awarded me my refund within minutes of opening a dispute. The company is not solution focused, the customer service is incredibly slow and unhelpful. With having a baby, you need everything to be stress free, and you shouldn't be worried with purchasing poor quality items, that could seriously affect the welfare of the mum and new born. Regrettably this company caused me much anxiety and distress. I strongly recommend you use another company, I would hate for this company to let you down, as they did with me!

I bought a Chicco Urban Stroller it item arrived with a torn hood and the front wheels were faulty and stucked all the time I contacted them a few days later after arrival they told me its a maintenance issue and I should put Lubricant etc they would not return or exchange for a new one,I don't think a brand new buggy should need oils to put in the wheels I do not reccomend this company even if they are slightly cheaper but now I am stuck with a faulty buggy!

“Clowns”

★☆☆☆☆

written by MWilkinson on 01/09/2016

As I have been threatened with legal action if I write a bad review I would like to say what a fabulous, amusing and prompt customer service team online4baby have. They have a great sense of humour and tell none stop jokes. The wheel of my baby’s pram who was 4 weeks old at the time only fell of 3 times on one journey and then a further 8 times in a 5 minute walk when tested again. I would like to thank online for baby for bringing it to my attention that the reason the wheel only fell off so few times was due to poor maintenance by myself (apparently this should be done weekly) and dust/grit getting into the wheel (I’m still laughing now) So if your looking for a pram with the ultimate design featuring a pop off wheels system if the environment gets too bad for your little one then look no further than online4baby / Obaby. Thank you online4baby / Obaby for your fantastic speed for testing and returning the pram 2 weeks later than promised. You will all be sad to hear that my Obaby pram will soon be heading to the pram scrap yard due to a lack of time for me to maintain it. I have now purchased a new pram but could not afford the dust/grit warning pop of wheel system. Hopefully this will not affect my babies health.  incase Onlines4baby want to send me a dust mask, a clown suit or a full refund (haha) for writing such a nice review

“Awful if item is faulty.”

★☆☆☆☆

written by Dizzy6511 on 20/06/2016

I bought a Woolibaloo footmuff. The toggle came off very quickly. The top wouldn't zip back on after the first time it was removed. Contacted them and they offered a poor response which didn't comply with the Consumer Rights Act. Emailed them with the specific sections of the Act and they replied with the same response and took no notice of the Act or anything i'd said. Contacted the Consumer Ombudsman and they sent the same response to them but won't agree to have the matter investigated further. They think they're above the law because it costs so much to take the matter to court.

“Run run run!!!”

★☆☆☆☆

written by Azariad404 on 27/05/2016

Please avoid this company at all costs! I have received a cot from them and when it was received found it was damaged. As you can imagine I wasn't happy. And as per my consumer rights got in contact with online4baby to arrange a return and full refund, only to be told that I would have to pay the return costs. Customer services was completely inadequate in dealing with this matter and failed to acknowledge the consumer rights act which states that any returns for damaged items should be paid by the company. I spoke to the person I dealt with (who stated he was customer services manager), who of all people should be aware of this legislation, to no avail. See posted photos of damaged item and screen shot of the consumer rights act relating to faulty returns (point 3.57).

“Returns policy not pregnancy friendly”

★☆☆☆☆

written by soEngland171 on 11/05/2016

I purchased my pregnant wife a change bag as a gift early in her pregnancy. When we came to use the item after our baby was born it was faulty. I let the company know immediately but they refused to help due to their 6 month fault policy. I assume they realise a pregnancy lasts 9 months? Don't buy from here while still pregnant!!
