“Take a mechanic with you”

★★★★☆

written by ptranter on 12/05/2016

I have read the reviews here, quite a few poor ones. I bought a car off them nearly 3 years ago. I checked it on the internet and then went to the site as it was priced low. The car was a bargain, fsh, low mileage etc. It had 2 bumps to the bodywork which they didn't try to hide or play down. My advice would be to take a mechanic with you to look it over for you. We took it for a good test drive and as Trev said it was fine I bought it. Not had a problem since. I had 1 month before this bought a car from another garage without getting an expert's view. It was an absolute pile of poo which I got a refund for after rejecting it. Ps There's quite a lot of legal protection when buying from a dealer if it's not fit for purpose. Take a mechanic with you, costs about £40 and can save you a lot more than that.

“We wouldn't go anywhere else! ”

★★★★★

written by Savanahc470 on 07/12/2015

Over the years we have bought at least six cars from Stockport Internet Cars because they are cheaper than anywhere else and when you are looking at the car they leave you alone and there is no pushy salesman trying to get you to buy the car. Before you go look at a car you will have seen lots of photos of the interior and outside the car including any damage.. They don't hide anything so when you go to view the car your not disappointed!! If you don't buy the car they might not appear like they are bothered and the truth is they aren't and the reason is because they know someone else will be along to buy the car because you can't get the same year and model car anywhere else cheaper. A couple of times I have not noticed something about a car and they have told me about it because they are honest and don't try to hide anything. If you want a plush showroom, coffee & biscuits and pay hundreds or thousands more then go somewhere else but if like us you don't want to get ripped off its worth giving them a look when you next want to change your car.

“1 star is too much to give this car salesman”

written by Fatima244 on 14/04/2015

It's funny when you read reviews online about how rude the salesman is, and then you actually go to check out the cars and you get the same attitude the literally the same one liners. ''What do you expect for a car? This isn't a show room?'' How about when people spend thousands of pounds on something, there's a general duty for you to be selling them something that genuinely works and isn't a complete rip off? You do realise that right? I am talking to the 'guy' who runs this business because I've no doubt he will be reading this. You should be ashamed, of your stinking attitude and the fact you're knowingly selling people cars that have all sorts of problems with them. Just because you're selling them cheaper than the average asking price doesn't mean you can be a **** about it, you'll find that you have to sell yours cheaper than average because your cars have all sorts of faults!!! I ended up buying another car from someone who let me check everything out and gave a proper service history. Do not buy from here, you'll regret it.

“DO NOT BUY FROM THEM!!”

written by Munoz64 on 28/09/2014

Similar to other points made, bought a car off them, things went wrong, they didn't want to know and subsequently many worse things went wrong. Ended up having to sell the car on for a £1500 loss not long after buying. Buyers beware!!!

“PR Cruiser & Google Review & Comment”

★★★★★

written by DanDanDanDanDanDanDan on 08/03/2014

On google the PT Cruiser comment is under a " JOHN TERRY " and later an " Andrew Hillcrest " who consequently rings up pretending to be an old retired chap asking us negative questions. We have made a full google review comment. PT Cruiser in quesiton was shown on around a Thur or Friday by the reviewer. PT Cruiser was then sold for c.£1400 by the following Monday within 3 or so days and so should it. An identical car in red for £3,450 was the next one up in the search. We showed to the reviewer post being recently valeted with the doors & windows & boot wide open while drying in our unit after a deep wet vax valet inc engine bay degrease, this triggered the cooling fan switch, a cheap but main dealer back only order part. We are honest and upfront when selling cars under £1,500, we detailed our advert with the full description that the cooling fan switch is on whilst included an image of the displayed warning on the dash and even an image showing a search for Classic Model 2006 PT Cruiser. We told the PT Cruiser viewer that an EML light is emissions related and we were telling the viewer that this is not a tired problem engine when he said how can you tell me it is not a finished engine. He looked at us like we had intentionally lied to get him down and was not interested to watch us plug in the PT Cruiser to our diagnostic machine to read the CODE. The OBD11 was it the car being plugged in when the guy said you misled us. £2,000 ( £1,400 vs £3,450 ) is some saving when buying under £1,500 hence why it sold. We are always honest but used cars once cleaned can trigger EML & airbag lights all too easily what with modern cars getting wet and drying, engine bay and interior. The guy who viewed the car irrespective how cheap thinks we lied to get him down. That we very much did not. An engine light or EML came on through the clean Advert was http://www.stockportinternetcars.co.uk/detail/88782/used-chrysler-pt-cruiser-2-4-classic-5dr-stockport Lastly can the police please call us if we have sold a stolen Jaguar, all our cars sell with a free HPi report, free to us, and FREE to the buyer, we would love to know how when we buy from large companies or directly as HPi checked Part Exchanges we have this blasphemous comment. We haven't even sold a diesel Jaguar in 2014 I can remember. Please ignore this malicious comment. We're friendly when we are not being told we've LIED to people to intentionally get them down. “What a chancer”

★☆☆☆☆

written by Kincaidmz281 on 01/03/2014

Went with the intention of buying a PT Cruiser. Phoned in advance to check no dash lights were on and was assured none were. Drove 2 hours to find the engine management light was on. When I pointed this out his reply was, the engines good if you won't take my work for it then don't buy it! Guess what, I didn't buy it. After seeing the operation for myself I wouldn't buy a cup of coffee of this company it wouldn't be as described and would probably leave a bad taste in my mouth.

When bought no EML, pre valet no EML. Indeed the EML light was brought on by the previous day deep clean wet-vax-valet inc engine bay steam and was found at the time as cooling fan switch relay that got damp in the process, the car was shown in our unit drying with doors open and the guy and his wife ( partner ) looked at us like we intentionally lied to get them down, nothing could be further from the truth. It was for this reason I had no option when we confirmed not once but twice that pre valet no EML I asked them to leave. I said I have said this twice, your looks says it all, we sell to people who are happy to buy and could read the problem on the machine at the time, we cannot sell to people who doesn't call us untruthful I said, we sell to happy people. Was simple at time. The glare ( look ) of the people to say you have brought us down under misapprehension was too much and they had to be asked to leave should they not trust the car or us, the OBD2 port for diagnostic plug in was at the time pulling up the sensor fault brought on from moisture from the recent valet still in the process of finally drying in our unit. Something so simple but the people wanted to believe a lie had taken place and wouldn't be assured otherwise. The car sold within the next 3 days and was dry and clean and a genuine trustworthy valeted nice performing car, the people leaving this review never took it out.

Do not trust. I baught a jaguar from them and after owning it for 3 days the turbo blew up. I took it to my local garage to find out the car was a ringer! Stolen car. I contacted stockport internet cars and he denied selling me the car. Now the police are involved.
