“Avoid them they gave terrible service andsell faulty...”

Sent me a camera that had a fault within using it on 2 occasions then had the nerve to accuse me of damaging it.
Were very unhelpful and atagonistic on the phone.
Never initiated any communication.
Refused to refund my money despite the fact that I returned the faulty item within 2 weeks of purchasing it.

THERE WERE NO MANUFACTURERS WARRANTY PAPERS INCLUDED IN THE PACKAGE OR IN THE BOX THE CAMERA CAME IN.
Tried to charge me for a repair that I hadn't asked for or wanted.
In the end all I got was a free repair and the faulty camera returned instead of the refund or new camera I should have been given and had asked for.

They became rude over the phone and ranted on and on about how much stuff they sell (like I was interested!?) and when I tried to speak, to get back to the issue at hand, he started shouting \"NO NO LISTEN LISTEN!\" In a manner that I can only describe as unprovoked antagonistic and inanely shrill.

When I requested a refund they made accusations that I must have damaged the camera, despite the fact that the fault was intermittant had no sign of any 'caused damage' and I have been a professional photographer for over 15 years and know how to look after my kit.

Another point is the packaging of the items sent by Procamerashop was severely lacking and the box was dented when it arrived.
I would definitely advise anyone NOT to buy from procamerashop their prices might seem actractive but it's worth paying a bit more and getting decent customer service and warranty.

ProCameraShops response:

This gentleman returned a camera to us claiming that it was broken. Our inspection partners of over 20 years’ experience independently checked the camera and determined that the fault was caused by a "sticky substance" existing under the shoot button. In their opinion there was almost zero possibility of it being a manufacturer's fault, and thus would not qualify for repair under warranty. It also turned out that Mr Seward had attached a screen protector to the LCD screen on the camera, which is fixed using a very strong adhesive. I was thus our conclusion that the issue with the camera was almost certainly as a result of this. Even when presented with these facts, given that the camera was only a few weeks old, in the spirit of offering Mr Seward a positive customer service experience it was decided to carry out the repair FOC, baring the cost of repair ourselves, as a gesture of goodwill.

THERE WAS NO MANUFACTURERS WARRANTY BECAUSE THEY SELL FAULTY GREY IMPORTS!!!!

Procamerashops comments are complete and utter rubbish!

The fault wasn't with the shutter release button, it was with the tele/wide lever which is situated on the front top of the camera.

If you are familiar with the GGS glass LCD screen protector that is specifically designed to fit the LX5 you will know just how stupid a suggestion that is. The screen protector is applied to the back of the camera by a dry thin self adhering layer of approx 1mm around the very edge of the glass, you peel off the cellophane backing and attach the screen protector to the back of the camera to protect the LCD screen, they are designed to do this cleanly and are not dripping with goo!

If procamerashop staff are suggesting that this adesive some how crawled up and around the camera body (like someting from spiderman 3) then settled underneath the shutter release button then they are clutching at imaginary straws. I actually take this as an admission of guilt by procamerashop as it is such a pathetic attempt to find blame as to be laughable.

The fact of the matter is they sold me a dodgy unit that arrived in an unsealed damaged box, was without a manufacurer's guarantee...

When I returned it within 2 weeks, they refused to refund or replace...

Tried to charge me for a repair that I hadn't asked for...

Failed to communicate with me...

Became aggressive and antogonistic on the phone when I challenged their ridiculous accusations and unfair treatment of me...

Told me that the camera would be fixed free of charge and sent back to me within one week... It took 4 weeks.

We only have thier word that it was even sent to an 'independant inspection partner of 20 years'
