Sent a Canon DSLR body for shutter replacement. The fault was blindingly obvious - a large white streak across all images, and this was discussed and diagnosed on the phone. Yet the camera was sent back two weeks later after having "replaced the circuit board" (nothing to do with the shutter) and after being "extensively tested". Yet, of course, the exact same fault was still present. At the same time I sent an 'L' lens for the zoom rail / guide to be fixed (lens wouldn't move to zoom in/out). They did repair this correctly - but also chipped the paint on the lens and left a hunk of the paint on the inside of the front element. I had to send the camera and lens back to H Lehmann because they refused to refund my money for the botched repairs as is my right under the Consumer Rights Act. Overall, too much hassle and too expensive. I understand that mistakes happen occasionally - but to have two repairs out of two messed up suggests a bigger problem. And for one of the faults to be visible the instance you take ANY photo - unforgivable.

Sent to Lehmann Ltd for screen repair after six months worked for four months and the screen stopped working again and received by Lehmann during May of this year . On6th of June they sent an invoice for cleaning the camera which wasn't the problem. The camera was in immaculate condition when it was sent away, but was now waiting for the warranty to be paid by the supplier before they send the camera back. When they are phoned by the Camera Company as soon as they make contact the line goes dead. H.Lemann ltd. have now had my wife's camera more than She has. Beware of this company it would seem that they have no respect for their customers.

My Canon EF 70-200mm F/2.8 IS II USM developed a zoom ring fault which required repair. H. Lehmann is my local Canon-approved repairer so I popped in with my damaged lens. They said that they would contact me when it was ready and three working days later I collected it, stripped, repaired, cleaned and back in one piece! It wasn't cheap (over £200) but they use equipment which has cost thousands and extensive model-specific training. I can't wait to break something else so I can use them again!
